Abstract

In March 2020 the government determined that the COVID-19 outbreak was a national disaster that spread through splashes, so gatherings of large numbers of people could increase the risk of spreading COVID-19. The church is a place for Christians to carry out religious activities. During this activity, there was interaction between congregations that could increase the potential for the spread of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to describe and evaluate the application of health protocols in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in churches in the Gudo District, Jombang Regency in 2021. This study uses a descriptive observational method. The variables of this research are socialization and education of COVID-19 health protocols, use of masks, hand washing facilities or hand sanitizers, disinfection, social distancing systems, thermoguns, restrictions on the number of congregations and duration of worship, as well as air circulation and floor types. Data collection used observations and interviews to describe the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol in seven churches in Gudo District, Jombang Regency. Data analysis in this study is to collect data, process and compile, then presented in tabulation then each variable is analyzed descriptively. Observation results show that all churches get the Good category with a minimum score of 76.92%. The results of the interview show that the manager has facilitated the congregation in implementing the COVID-19 health protocol. The conclusion from this research is that the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol is not optimally implemented, namely socialization and education of the COVID-19 health protocol and measuring body temperature. Suggestions for other researchers who want to continue this research are researching the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol in places of worship using quantitative research methods.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the environmental-based diseases. Home sanitation and personal hygiene factors can affect the transmission of disease. According to data from the Driyorejo Health Center in 2020 the number of people suffering from tuberculosis from January to September was 71 people. The purpose of this study was to describe the condition of basic home sanitation and personal hygiene for TB patients in the working area of ​​the Driyorejo Health Center, Gresik. This type of research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The samples used were 42 houses with TB patients. Data collection was done by observation and interviews. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis in the form of tables and narratives. The results of the study on basic sanitation of TB patients' houses that did not meet the requirements in the work area of ​​the Driyorejo Health Center temperature of 33 houses (79%), humidity of 32 houses (76%), lighting of 27 houses (64%), and ventilation of 25 houses (60%). The type of floor that meets the requirements is 39 houses (93%) (Personal hygiene of patients who are not good 9 people (21%) and 28 people (67%). The conclusion of the study of TB patients' homes in the working area of ​​the Driyorejo Health Center was 64% who did not meet the requirements. Personal hygiene more than 50% have done quite well. To prevent disease transmission, it is hoped that the community will improve the sanitation conditions of the house and further improve personal hygiene and clean and healthy living behavior.

Abstract

The brick industry is an industry where almost all of the processes are done traditionally. Workers' body postures when working are often not ergonomic, so there is a risk of causing muskuloskeletal complaints. This study aims to determine the effect of work posture on musculoskeletal complaints in brick industry workers in Kasreman Village, Kandangan District, Kediri Regency. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. This study includes a population study with the entire population as a sample of 57 people. Data were collected by observing work postures using the Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS) method and interviews about musculoskeletal complaints felt by workers using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. The data were analyzed univariately and bivariately with Chi Square test and continued with Fisher's Exact. The results of this study indicate that most of the workers have a high category of work posture, aged > 35 years, and have high category of musculoskeletal complaints. Statistical test results show that there is an effect of work posture and age on musculoskeletal complaints in brick industry workers in Kasreman Village, Kandangan District, Kediri Regency in 2021. It is recommended for workers to pay attention to their work postures, adjust work and rest times, and stretch muscles. Industrial owners should pay more attention to workplace conditions, arrange work and rest times, and be able to provide sufficient and shady land to rest.

Abstract

One of the wastes of making tempe is soybean husk which comes from boiling and soaking. Soybean husk waste that is not utilized causes unpleasant odors and pollutes the environment. Utilization as organic fertilizer can be used to overcome the pollution. This study aims to utilize soybean husk waste as a liquid fertilizer applied to mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). This type of research is included in the True Experimental Design. With the research design Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The object of this research is green mustard (Brassica juncea L.) as many as 30 samples and liquid organic fertilizer from soybean husk waste at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15% with 9 replications. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. Data were obtained from the field in the form of observations and measurements of mustard plant growth parameters including the height of the mustard plant, the number of leaves of the mustard plant, and the diameter of the stem of the mustard plant, the NPK content test in the laboratory, and data analysis was carried out with the Anova test. The application of liquid organic fertilizer from soybean husks did not significantly affect stem diameter and number of leaves, but did affect plant height. The effective concentration treatment on the growth of mustard greens is a 15% concentration treatment for plant height with an average of 35.85 cm. Liquid Organic Fertilizer of soybean epidermis with a concentration of 15% is effective on the growth of mustard greens. Suggestions for further researchers are to conduct research on other plants with higher concentrations in order to obtain optimal results on plant growth to be studied.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is increasing every day so it is necessary to control efforts, namely by killing larvae using bay leaf plants (Syzygium polyanthum). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the larvicidal solution of bay leaf in controlling larvae of Aedes sp. This research uses the true experiment method with Post Test Only Group Design. The concentration variations used were 0%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% and 35% in 100 mL of water with 4 repetitions. The population and samples used were Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus instar III larvae, each containing 600 larvae containing 25 larvae in each container. The results showed that the LC50 of bay leaf solution within 24 hours had the largest number of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus larvae mortality at a concentration of 35% with 100% mortality. The results of the Anova Two Way test obtained a sig value. 0.000 < ɑ (0.05), meaning that there is an influence on the yield of dead larvae based on variations in concentration. It was concluded that each concentration of bay leaf solution could kill a different percentage of larvae. Suggestions for further researchers to determine the concentration variation of bay leaf larvicide solution which is more effective in killing Aedes sp.

Abstract

PT Tri Ratna Diesel Lamongan is a pioneer company in Indonesia that produces various types of ships. Activities of the company can lead to various risks such as accidents and occupational disease, regarding that issue, the company needs to implement occupational health and safety management system that has been known globally. Therefore, PT. Tri Ratna Diesel implements ISO 45001:2018 to create safe and healthy working conditions for all workers. This study aimed to determine the quality of the OHS management system based on ISO 45001:2018 implemented at PT. Tri Ratna Diesel Lamongan. This research used a descriptive research method with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected by interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with the persons in charge of the OH&S section and the public relations section. The analysis was used to determine the quality of ISO 45001:2018 at PT. Tri Ratna Diesel Lamongan was gap analysis. The result of the assessment implementation of ISO 45001:2018 used gap analysis showed that the percentage of assessment in clause 5 about leadership and work participation was 93.75% (good), clause 9 about performance evaluation was 92.30% (good), clause 10 about continuous improvement was 100% (very good). These results indicate that the requirements and procedures of ISO 45001: 2018 have been implemented and well documented. PT. Tri Ratna Diesel Lamongan is advised to conduct a review process of the improvement recommendations that have been given and adjust them to the situation and condition of the company. The review process can be carried out to adjust to each department’s views in PT. Tri Ratna Diesel.

Abstract

Noise is the presence of unwanted loud noises by workers that can be harmful and cause emotional stress and affect hormone production, resulting in increased blood pressure. Increased blood pressure can be reduced by wearing ear protection for workers who are exposed to noise. This study aims to analyze the use of ear protective equipment in an effort to reduce the blood pressure of workers who are exposed to noise. The method used in this research is a field experiment with the same subject (labor) as the unit of analysis, namely the process of comparing the blood pressure of workers before and after work and wearing ear protection. This study used Wilcoxon to analyze the difference in the blood pressure of workers before and after wearing ear protection, and the chi-square test was used with the aim of seing the effect of labor characteristics on increasing blood pressure. The results of this study showed changes in blood pressure, these changes can be seen by the difference between blood pressure before work and after work by wearing ear protection with a value of p= 0,000. and the results of the chi-square test obtained a value of p = 0.401 (p>0.05) which means that age has no effect on blood pressure, smoking habits (p= 0.693) which means that smoking has no effect on blood pressure and years of service (p=0,590) which means that years of service do not affect the blood pressure of workers. After the workers were treated by wearing ear protective equipment their blood pressure decreased, thus there was a difference in the blood pressure of the workers before and after treatment. But on the characteristics of the workforce there is no effect on the increase in blood pressure. Suggestions that can be given to the industry are socialization about the application of proper use of ear protective equipment and providing ear protection equipment (earmuffs) in the workplace. Abstract

The Covid-19 virus (SARS Cov-2) is dangerous for humans because it can infect the respiratory tract. Currently, the case of the corona virus in Indonesia is indeed decreasing, so many activities can be carried out as usual, one of which is activities in the world of lectures. However, health protocols must still be adhered to so that the corona virus does not spread again. In addition to implementing health protocols, UV light devices can also be developed to sterilize classrooms from the corona virus. The purpose of this study was to design ultraviolet door's as a disinfectant on classroom doors to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus. The method used in this research is a literature review or literature study. This study illustrates that UV light sterilization devices in the form of ultraviolet door's can be used as a disinfectant to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus. This research is expected to be an innovation for students to design ultraviolet door's to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Traffic jams that occur on the highway becomes an obstacle and problems for motorists who are driving and cause drivers to behave aggressively. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between driving stress caused by traffic jams and aggressive driving. The subjects in this study amounted to 143 students of the Faculty of Psychology, State University of Makassar in the second to eighth semesters who drive a motorized vehicle every day when they go to campus. The sampling technique in this research is accidental sampling, which is a non-probability sampling technique. The method used in this study is a quantitative method by using a traffic jam questionnaire and measuring a driving stress scale and an aggressive driving scale. The data analysis technique used in this research is Spearman Rho. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between driving stress due to traffic jams and aggressive driving. The higher the stress of driving due to traffic jams, the higher the aggressive driving. The results of the study can be used by the government as a reference in formulating programs and policies regarding the importance of mental health in driving, as well as for further researchers to develop this research using different and more varied demographic variables.

Abstract

Clean water is a basic need for living things, one source of clean water is groundwater. The problem that is often encountered in groundwater from dug wells is the content of heavy metal Fe. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the absorption of heavy metal iron (Fe) in well water with Pistia stratiotes L. and Echinodorus palaefolius for 14 days using a phytoremediation process. This type of research is an experimental design using a pretest-posttest model with a control group that compares the occurrence of differences in the decrease in iron (Fe) levels of 9.86 mg/l in well water by collecting data by examining the results of iron (Fe) levels in well water. before and after treatment. Analysis of the data using the Independent T-test. The results of the study showed a decrease in iron (Fe) levels in well water after the phytoremediation process for 14 days. In Pistia stratiotes L. the level of iron (Fe) in well water was 0.67 mg/l and Echinodorus palaefolius was 0.58 mg/l. The effectiveness of Pistia stratiotes L. was 92.85% and Echinodorus palaefolius was 93.81% in reducing iron (Fe) levels in well water. Phytoremediation using Pistia stratiotes L. and Echinodorus palaefolius is effective in reducing iron (Fe) levels according to Permenkes No. 32 of 2017. The phytoremediation process using Pistia stratiotes L. and Echinodorus palaefolius can be recommended to reduce iron (Fe) levels in well water so that it meets quality standards.
