Abstract

This study explores the opportunities and challenges in the application of AI in education. This study also discusses the problems that accompany its application in educational institutions.Using qualitative methods with a literature study approach. Data was obtained from the latest journals published in 2024 and 2025. Analyzed one by one in depth. The results of the study show that AI has great potential to improve the quality of education through personalization of learning, automation of administrative tasks, and 24-hour academic support. However, the application of AI also faces challenges such as personal bias, privacy, the digital divide, resistance to change, and excessive dependence on technology. The balance between technological advances and human interaction is key to ensuring that AI functions as a supporting tool. Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Change, Education, Teachers, Students

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' preferences in credit-taking decisions, as well as to explore the main reasons behind these decisions. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 50 students at a private university in Bandung. The results of the study showed that most students had never taken credit. The main inhibiting factors were concerns about repayment ability, limited knowledge of credit procedures and provisions, and apprehension about high interest rates. Although many students consider that access to credit services, especially through digital platforms, is quite easy, the results of the study show that their understanding of finance is still limited. Therefore, a more systematic and in-depth financial literacy program is needed so that students can manage financial decisions, especially in terms of credit, wisely and responsibly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze product purchasing and credit usage behavior in Generation Z exposed to social media. Generation Z is known for their high activity on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter), which serve not only as entertainment sources but also influence their consumption decisions. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 50 respondents through an online questionnaire. The results show that respondents' interest in purchasing products on social media is quite high with the main driving factors being personal needs, discounts and promotions. Shopee PayLater is a fairly popular service platform, although its usage level is still relatively low due to considerations of caution regarding debt risks. Although responses regarding the level of influence of social media vary, the platform still plays a role in shaping Generation Z's shopping habits. So there is a need for better financial literacy so that Generation Z can use credit wisely and avoid excessive consumer behavior.

Abstract

Online lending services are a form of digital financial innovation that enables users to quickly access funds without the need for collateral. This study aims to explore the extent of students’ understanding regarding the widespread use of online loans among Gen Z. A descriptive approach was employed, utilizing questionnaires and interviews involving 60 students from a private university in Bandung. The increasing trend of online loan usage among students is driven by a consumerist lifestyle, social pressure, and limited awareness of associated risks and interest rates. Poor financial literacy can lead to negative consequences such as debt accumulation, financial stress, and mental health issues. Therefore, more intensive financial education efforts are essential to raise awareness and improve students’ financial literacy regarding the responsible use of online lending platforms.

Abstract

Local wisdom is a string of Pearls that forms the identity of a region, so it must be maintained and preserved so that it does not become extinct. A strong culture is also a guideline for people in living their daily lives, which reflects the noble values that shape the character of a region. This research aims to identify and analyze the representation of local values in the research team's craft products inspired by the local wisdom of the Mahmud traditional village in Bandung Regency, West Java, and Cinta Damai Village in Samosir, North Sumatra. This activity is a collaboration between LPPM ISBI Bandung and UHN North Sumatra to increase tourism in the area. This research uses an analytical descriptive method that deeply examines how cultural values, traditions, and local wisdom from the two regions can manifest into the forms and motifs of the resulting craft products. The results of this research are expected to provide a better understanding of the richness of Indonesian culture, especially in the context of crafts, and be an educational resource for the community about the importance of preserving and developing local culture. This research is also expected to contribute to creating a sustainable craft industry while still paying attention to cultural values that are full of meaning.

Abstract

The globalization of the fashion industry has expanded the need for English language competence, especially in professional and culturally nuanced contexts. Despite the growing demand for modest fashion globally, many professionals and students in this field still lack access to relevant English learning materials. The challenge is even more pronounced for Islamic fashion professionals in Indonesia, who require instructional resources that reflect both the technical demands of the industry and Islamic cultural values. This study aims to develop English for Specific Purposes (ESP) learning materials for Islamic fashion at the A1 level. Adopting a descriptive material development approach grounded in the ESP framework by Hutchinson and Waters (1987), the researcher designed five thematic units using Canva to deliver interactive, visually rich presentations. Wordwall was integrated as a complementary tool to support contextual vocabulary practice and self-paced learning. The materials focus on key topics such as fashion items, styles, materials, design elements, and fashion presentations. The development process demonstrates that visual-based and culturally responsive ESP materials can foster learner engagement and better support communication needs in Islamic fashion contexts. This study highlights the value of integrating technology-enhanced media in designing effective, relevant, and inclusive ESP resources for specific professional domains.
