Abstract

Rotavirus infection is an emphatic health concern that when left unabated elicits hospitalizations, and deaths of many children due to diarrhea, even in developed countries; let one in poor settings. Likewise, the virus can affect older youngsters and adults resulting in mild infection. The consequences of the rotavirus could not be unconnected with the levels of poor prevention ploys put in place, including the inability of the body of children to counteract the rotavirus with a substantial immunity due to earlier invasion. Thus, it is important to seek for vaccines, because vaccination use in disease prevention is becoming a forefront efficient and easiest way nowadays. This paper brings a conceptual overview of vaccines utilization for the prevention of rotavirus infection in children under the following headings: Introduction, rotavirus vaccines, replicating vaccines, non-replicating vaccines, subunit vaccines, virus like particles, encapsulation, rotavirus vaccination, and conclusion.

Abstract

This project work explores the world of input-output analysis, a powerful economic tool that reveals the complicated web of economic interdependencies that exist within a region or nation. By meticulously exploring the foundations, applications, and implications of this analytical method, we set out on a journey to understand the profound impact it has on economic systems. The project begins with a comprehensive introduction to the theory of input-output analysis, shedding light on its historical evolution and underlying assumptions. It meticulously outlines the step-by-step process of constructing input-output tables and interprets the matrix algebra involved, ensuring that even a novice can grasp the fundamentals. Two hypothetical case studies add practicality to the project, vividly demonstrating how input-output analysis can be applied to real-world scenarios, such as the infrastructure sector, the energy sector, and local economic development. Through these case studies, we witness the transformative potential of this analysis, both in terms of economic growth and sustainable practices. Furthermore, the project explores the strengths and limitations of input-output analysis, paving the way for informed discussions and decisions in the realms of economic policy and planning. In the end, the project leaves no stone unturned, presenting a comprehensive view of input-output analysis as a dynamic instrument that empowers us to unravel economic intricacies, fostering a prosperous and sustainable future.

Abstract

Since the early 2000s, digitalization and the digital economy have developed rapidly and rapidly changed all aspects of social life. Digital platform ecosystems in Vietnam are still in their early stages of development, but they are growing rapidly. These digital platforms are playing an increasingly important role in the Vietnamese economy. They are driving innovation, economic growth, and job creation. This article will analyze some of the current development status of the digital economic ecosystem in Vietnam: the advantages as well as the difficulties and challenges that Vietnam will face. The article will provide some policy suggestions for Vietnam in developing the digital economic ecosystem from these analyses.

Abstract

Heavy metal contamination of soil pose risks and hazards to humans and the ecosystem through. Imperata cylindrica is a fast growing plant and often used for phytoremediation. The plant was tested in different growth media of spiked heavy metal, soil pH and organic matter contents for 60-day. After harvesting, the plant was washed, separated into roots and shoots. The soil samples were digested using 1.0g portion of dried the soil ,10.0cm3 of 1:1 HNO3: H2O, 5.0cm3 of HNO3, 1.0cm3 of H2O2, and 5.0cm3 of HCl while the plant samples were digested using 0.50g of the powdered sample, 5cm3 of HNO3 and 2cm3 HClO4. Prior to digestion, each sample were oven-dried at 70°C until it achieved a constant weight, grounded (using mortar and pestle) and milled (using a milling machine). Atomic absorption spectrophotometry was used to analyze the accumulation of cadmium, and lead in roots and shoot of the plant. Bioaccumulation factor (BF), biological accumulation coefficient (EC) and translocation factor (TF) was applied to evaluate the metal translocation ability in the plant. Between soil pH and soil organic matter, the highest total biomass of Cd was found in 300g of organic matter treatment (13.48 ± 2.69 mg/kg), while Pb in basic treatment was 18.09 ± 0.66 mg/kg. The result suggests that soil pH has most effect on Pb; while organic matter in Cd in the phytoaccumulation by Imperata cylindrica. The growth of phytoremediation plants like Imperata cylindrica should be encourage to neutralize the heavy metals pollution.

Abstract

Signing and implementing FTAs, especially new-generation FTAs, has promoted economic growth and improved Vietnamese society's spiritual and material life. Agricultural products are one of the industries most affected by implementing new-generation FTAs. Those impacts include both positive and negative results. This paper will analyze some of the effects of the EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) on agricultural export enterprises in Vietnam after signing the Agreement. From that impact analysis, the paper will offer several recommendations and solutions for businesses and the government to help agricultural export enterprises in Vietnam take full advantage and benefit, also limit the negative impacts of FTAs.

Abstract

Population aging has an impact on many socio-economic aspects of each country. Population aging will also create many challenges for Vietnam, especially growth issues, labor supply and productivity, social security and health care systems, and pension funds. and social problems arise. The transition time from an aging population to an aging population in Vietnam is faster than in other countries, and especially when Vietnam is still a developing country with a low, middle income, these challenges are even more difficult for the economy. This article will evaluate the impacts of population aging in Vietnam on socioeconomic development and provide some policy suggestions for Vietnam's development process.

Abstract

Speaking is one of the essential skills that every individual, especially students, must possess to support their other abilities. In this highly modern era, social media needs to be explored, particularly concerning students' speaking skills. Many students remain passive when speaking through social media. This case is intriguing to explore and investigate. This research aims to investigate the factors that can influence students' speaking passivity on social media, using a qualitative approach. Data were obtained by interviewing the English subject teachers of the 10th grade in a private high school in Surabaya. The researcher found that several factors influencing the speaking passivity of 10th-grade students include fear of making mistakes, bad pronounciation, and a lack of vocabulary. The results of this research can serve as a reference for both students and teachers to study solutions for these factors.

Abstract

This article investigates the critical issue of dwindling reading motivation among high school students in Surabaya, Indonesia, specifically focusing on English texts. Against the global context of the paramount importance of reading proficiency, the data reveal a troubling decline in reading interest, particularly evident among private high school students in metropolitan areas. The study advocates for implementing the multiple intelligences strategy and emphasizes the crucial role of teachers in fostering motivation and interest in reading English texts. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with participants from a Surabaya-based private high school, the research employs convenience sampling, incorporating interviews and observations for data collection. The findings spotlight external factors contributing to students' diminished motivation, encompassing unappealing book covers, underutilized free time, comprehension challenges, and limited book availability. The ensuing discussion underscores the necessity for targeted interventions by educators and policymakers, extending beyond academic success to cultivate a positive reading culture. Such a culture contributes to holistic student development, nurturing cognitive abilities, effective communication skills, and instilling a lifelong love for learning. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the profound implications of investing in a positive reading culture for the personal and intellectual growth of high school students in Indonesia.

Abstract

According to the definitions of operation research, it may be regarded as a methodology, an approach, a set of techniques, a team activity, a mixing of various disciplines, an extension of a particular discipline, a new discipline, a vocation, even a religion. There are many problems in today's world that involve the replacement of items, and in this paper we solve a few of these problems and also discuss the day-to-day replacement of items with maintenance costs that increase over time as well as their value as time goes on.
