Abstract

Purpose of the study: The main aim of this research is to evaluate the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and dietary behavior in young adults in the area around the Pondok Tinggi health center.. Methodology: Correlational type quantitative methods were used in this research. The sampling technique in this research used simple random sampling. The collecting technique in this research used a questionnaire on knowledge, attitudes and dietary behavior. Data analysis in this research uses correlation hypothesis testing with prerequisite tests for normality and linearity. Main Findings: The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between people's knowledge and attitudes and dietary behavior. These findings indicate that better knowledge about healthy eating patterns and positive attitudes towards healthy eating patterns significantly contribute to the adoption of better eating behavior in young adults. Thus, this research provides evidence that education and increasing awareness about the importance of healthy eating patterns can be an effective strategy in improving public health. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research offers a holistic approach in evaluating the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and dietary behavior in adults aged 20-44 years around the Pondok Tinggi Community Health Center, Sungai Banyak City, Jambi province, highlighting the importance of these factors in community health promotion.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in learning atomic structure at Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru Vocational School by using the think pair share type cooperative learning method. Methodology: The subjects of this research were 24 class X students majoring in Information Technology at Dar El Hikmah Vocational School, Pekanbaru, consisting of female students. In carrying out this classroom action research, there are two types of data collected by researchers, namely quantitative data and qualitative data. This research data collection technique uses tests, observation and interviews. The data analysis technique for this research was analyzed descriptively using the percentage technique of students' absorption of the material per cycle. Main Findings: The results of data analysis show that in general students' absorption of learning material shows an increase, this is based on the evaluation results of 61.7% who have not reached the minimum completeness criteria in cycle I, increasing to 67.54% in cycle II and increasing again to 76.7% in cycle III. The average value of daily test results has also increased. This is shown by the average daily class test results from 60.6, which had not yet reached the minimum completeness criteria score in the previous year, to 73.33 after implementing Think Pair Share type cooperative learning. From the research results it can be concluded that implementing Think Pair Share type cooperative learning can improve student learning outcomes. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to determine the effectiveness of implementing Think Pair Share type cooperative learning to improve chemistry learning outcomes regarding atomic structure.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to find out which indicators of historical awareness are still low for class XII Social Sciences students and the causes of these low indicators of historical awareness. Methodology: This research is included in descriptive research where data is collected to explain solutions to current problems based on data. The research location is at State High School 1 Pariangan, Pariangan District, Tanah Datar Regency. The objects of this research were 60 students of class XII Social Sciences State High School 1 Pariangan. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use percentage analysis, frequency distribution, data centering using the mean, median and mode formula, and data variation analysis using the standard deviation formula. Main Findings: Based on the analysis obtained, it shows that in general the picture of historical awareness of class XII Social Sciences students is in the very high category, namely 88.33%. However, not all class XII Social Sciences students meet the very high category. If you look at the percentage of each indicator, students' historical awareness is already high. If you look at the seventeen items, thirteen items are high, there are four items that are not high enough, namely past experience items that are believed to be able to solve the problems faced. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research provides insight into students' historical awareness, shows contributions to the understanding of specific issues at the high school level, and offers directions for further improvements in history learning. Although students' general level of historical awareness is high, there are still areas that need further attention and improvement. This can be a basis for designing interventions or educational programs that focus more on indicators that are still low.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The study aimed to reveal mathematics teachers’ perceptions about the positives of blended learning in Jordan. Methodology: The researcher followed a descriptive research approach, by designing the study tool (a questionnaire) to verify Mathematics teachers’ perceptions of the positives of blended learning in Jordan. Calculating frequencies and averages of mathematics teachers’ response values. Descriptive research is used in field research and helps define positives of blended learning accurately and clearly. The size of the study population was (179) teachers. And The participants of study sample members were 135 teachers. Main Findings: The findings of the study showed that mathematics teachers’ perceptions of the positives of blended learning are high, and the most prominent positives are: blended learning facilitates interpretation of mathematics curriculum content, The utilization of blended learning strategies increases student-teacher interaction, and in the teaching of mathematics, blended learning improves individual learning. Novelty/Originality of this study: Explaining the positives of blended learning from mathematics teachers’ perceptions in teaching mathematics helps mathematics teachers rely on this approach as an effective and active teaching strategy. The findings of the study also help educational decision-makers in Jordan know the positives of blended learning and thus move forward in supporting and encouraging this type of learning.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine the relationship between peer groups and the learning independence of biology education students. Methodology: This type of research is quantitative with a correlation method. The population of this study was Biology Education Students, totaling 263 people with a sample size of 132 people. Sampling was carried out using Simple Random Sampling. The data collection techniques used are the learning independence scale and the peer group scale. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with product moment correlation techniques. Main Findings: The research results based on descriptive statistical analysis show that independence in learning is in the low category with an average value of 88.56 and the peer group is in the medium category with an average value of 87. Meanwhile, the results of inferential statistical analysis show that rcount is greater than rtable or 0.27 ≥ 0.24, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between the peer group and the learning independence of students. Where is the sig value. 2-tailed is 0.00 ≤ 0.05. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research contributes to explaining the social aspects of independent learning that are often overlooked in previous literature. While much research has explored internal factors that influence learning independence, the emphasis on the role of peer groups as external agents influencing students' motivation, mindset, and learning styles, is an innovative focus point. This enriches our insight into how social interaction with fellow students can have a significant influence on the level of learning independence of Biology Education students.
