Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the 5E Learning Cycle model using GELKON (concept glass) puzzles as a learning medium on the academic performance of Grade XI science students at SMAN 9 Bengkulu City. An experimental method was used, with the sample population including Grade XI Science 1 and Grade XI Science 2 classes. Data analysis techniques involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using a post-test t-test for final ability measurement. The study concludes that the Learning Cycle model positively impacts student learning outcomes in Grade XI science classes at SMA Negeri 09 Bengkulu City. The Learning Cycle model using GELKON puzzles as a medium showed a greater improvement in student learning outcomes compared to conventional methods. This was evidenced by the increase in the average post-test score: Grade XI Science 1 (conventional method) had an average score of 79.48, while Grade XI Science 2 (Learning Cycle method) had an average score of 90.00.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Student Worksheets (LKS) With the Assistance of Digital Mind Maps to Improve Mastery of Concepts for Students of SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu City in February-March 2023, with a population of all students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu City and the sample is class XI IPA 3 (Experimental Class) and class XI IPA 6 (Control Class). Samples were taken using a simple random sampling technique with a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection technique is through a test, namely in the form of questions in the form of multiple choices totaling 45 questions. Cognitive learning outcomes data obtained from the calculation of the prerequisite test in the form of normality tests and homogeneity tests. After carrying out the prerequisite test, then testing the results of data analysis using the T Test. The results of the T Test show that 0.001 is less than 0.05 (sig: 0.001 <0.05), meaning that there is an influence on Student Worksheets (LKS) with Digital assistance Mind Maps to improve Mastery of Concepts for students of SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu City.

Abstract

The population structure is a study in ecology that discusses the existence of a group of plants in a particular area. Rambai padi, found along the banks of Aluh Aluh River, Simpang Warga Village, Banjar Regency has the potential as a source of local potential-based teaching materials in the form of a popular scientific books. This research aims to describe the population structure of rambai padi, describe the process of developing a popular scientific book, and assess the feasibility of such a book. This research uses the Research and Development method using the Plomp & Nieveen (2013) which consists of three phases: preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase with research subjects by two experts as validators and five students as readability test subjects. The results showed that the population structure of the rambai padi plants obtained the number in the pre-reproductive phase amounted to 36,86 ind/ha, the reproductive phase amounted to 28,79 ind/ha, and post-reproductive phase amounted to 12,50 ind/ha, resulting that the pyramid shape obtained was a pyramid with a wide base shape. The Popular Scientific titled "Development of a Popular Scientific Book on The Population Structure of Rambai Padi (Sonneratia caseolaris L.) on the banks of Aluh Aluh River Simpang Warga Village, Banjar Regency" is deemed highly valid with a score of 3,57 and for the readibility test scored 90% with very good criteria, based on this, the Popular Scientific Book can be used as an educational resource
