Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of informative services in improving students’ understanding of Online Gender-Based Violence through posters and lectures. A quantitative approach was applied using a quasi-experimental design of the pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group type. The subjects were tenth-grade students of SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya, with class X B as the experimental group and class X E as the control group. Data analysis techniques included percentage analysis to measure improvement, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test due to non-normal data. The results showed significant improvement in both groups, with posttest scores reaching 379 (85%) in the experimental group and 213 (47%) in the control group, both with a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

Suicide is a social phenomenon that continues to draw global concern, including in Indonesia. Although Islam strictly prohibits suicide, such cases still occur among Muslim communities, including in Borneo. This article analyzes the phenomenon of suicide in Islamic Bornean society through Emile Durkheim’s theory, which views suicide as a social symptom influenced by the levels of integration and regulation within a society. The study employs a library research method by reviewing classical sociological works, Bornean anthropological studies, and Islamic counseling literature, along with an analysis of reported suicide cases in the region. The findings indicate that suicide in Borneo primarily falls under the egoistic and anomic types, where the weakening of social solidarity and the pressures of modernization contribute to the risk of self-destruction. Meanwhile, Islamic and customary values function as protective factors but can also transform into social pressures through rigid norms and stigmatization. Through Islamic counseling, spiritual and social values can be integrated to reinforce moral regulation and provide psychological and religious support for individuals. Therefore, integrating Durkheim’s theory with Islamic counseling offers a comprehensive framework for understanding and preventing suicide in Islamic Bornean communities

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Islamic Behavioral Contract intervention on improving the morality of elementary school students who are affected by high durations of playing the online game Roblox. This quantitative research employed a One Group Pretest–Posttest design with the Purposive Sampling technique, involving five (N=5) students from SD Islam Terpadu Cendekia Lamongan whose initial morality scores (Pretest) were categorized as High (Low Morality). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that the average morality score decreased significantly from 43.40 (Low Morality) in the Pretest to 26.20 (High Morality) in the Posttest. The hypothesis test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.043 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the Islamic Behavioral Contract intervention has a significant effect on improving students’ morality. This approach is effective because it integrates structured behavior modification with Islamic values, successfully restoring students’ self-control, sense of responsibility, and ethical awareness.

Abstract

Cybercounseling Asynchronous approach allows clients and counselors to communicate via text messages, emails, or other platforms without having to be at the same time. This model provides flexibility for clients to access services at any time and allows counselors to respond according to their schedule. The Asynchronous model provides a more flexible space in its implementation, allowing service interactions not to be direct. The non-direct and textual counseling model allows for errors in understanding the guidance messages contained in the Asynchronous digital counseling model process. So in this article the author emphasizes aspects related to the content of guidance or information via text messages, emails, or other platforms that uphold the content aspect that contains the scope of empathy aspects. The study used an approach (library research) with several discussions of the findings, namely the concept of a digital counseling system with an Asynchronous model in managing BK services, including 1) Overview of cybercounseling asynchronous approach (2) Urgency of empathy content in cybercounseling asynchronous approach (3) Offering empathy techniques in cybercounseling asynchronous model.

Abstract

Flood disasters represent one of the most recurrent natural hazards in Southeast Asia and the Muslim world, often resulting in long-term psychological consequences such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic anxiety, and social dysfunction. Although Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) has been widely applied in post-disaster interventions, existing models are largely grounded in Western epistemologies that may not fully align with the religious and cultural frameworks of Muslim communities. This article aims to develop the Trauma-Informed Islamic Counseling (TIIC) Model as a contemporary Islamic counseling framework for flood-related trauma recovery. Using a conceptual model development design grounded in the istiqrā’ (inductive) approach, this study synthesizes Islamic textual sources, classical Islamic psychological thought, and recent empirical findings (2021–2025) in trauma and Muslim mental health research. The TIIC model integrates core principles of Trauma-Informed Care with Islamic epistemology, including tawḥīd, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, and the concept of ummah, through a six-stage, phased intervention addressing psychological, spiritual, and social dimensions of trauma recovery. This article contributes to the advancement of trauma-informed Islamic counseling by offering a culturally responsive and theoretically grounded model relevant to recurrent climate-related disasters in Muslim societies.

Abstract

: Identity conflict is a significant developmental issue among adolescents, particularly in the context of psychosocial challenges, social media influence, and value discrepancies between modern culture and religious beliefs. Inadequate management of identity conflict may result in emotional distress, role confusion, and maladaptive behaviors. This study aims to analyze the integration of the Islamic concept of fitrah and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in counseling practice as a holistic intervention for managing adolescent identity conflict. A qualitative literature review was conducted by examining contemporary Islamic psychology literature and empirical studies on CBT in adolescent counseling. The findings indicate that CBT is effective in addressing irrational thoughts and maladaptive behaviors, while fitrah reflects the innate human nature toward goodness, truth, and psychological balance. The integration of these approaches forms a holistic counseling framework encompassing cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual dimensions. This study concludes that the integrative fitrah–CBT approach has strong potential as a comprehensive counseling intervention for addressing adolescent identity conflict.
