Abstract

IV infusion is a medical procedure that can cause discomfort, including pain, particularly in children. Children's pain can be quantified using the Wong Baker Faces Rating Scale questionnaire. One treatment option for overcoming this is to provide music therapy during IV infusion. The research design was a pre-experimental with an intact-group comparison design. The sample size was 34 respondents, divided into 17 experimental groups and 17 control groups, and the sampling technique was non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. The amount of pain among children in the control group when the infusion was performed in the Cilinaya ward of Mangusada hospital was described as follows: all 17 respondents (100% reported moderate pain). The average pain level among children in the control group was 3.76. In the intervention group, all respondents reported minor pain. Children in the intervention group reported an average pain level of 1.71. The Mann-Whitney statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating that music therapy affected pain levels in preschool children when administered in the Cilinaya ward.

Abstract

The menstrual cycle is an important indicator of adolescent girls' reproductive health, which can be influenced by various physiological and psychological factors. Menstrual cycle disorders include menorrhagia, oligomenorrhea, polymenorrhea, and amenorrhea, which are generally associated with ovarian dysfunction, anovulation, and luteal phase disorders. If left untreated, these disorders can have long-term impacts on adolescent fertility and quality of life. Management efforts include weight management, regular exercise, adequate rest, stress management, and a nutritious diet. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the menstrual cycle in adolescent girls at MAN 1, Gorontalo City. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 75 respondents was drawn using accidental sampling. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires and BMI measurements, with data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between BMI (p = 0.001) and a history of disease (p = 0.004) and the menstrual cycle, and no significant relationship between stress levels and the menstrual cycle (p = 0.599). It was concluded that BMI and a history of disease were related to menstrual cycle regularity, while stress was not related to the menstrual cycle. This study is expected to serve as a reference for adolescent reproductive health education and interventions.

The results showed negative perceptions in the perception of vulnerability as many as 61 people (95.3%), and perceptions of obstacles as many as 53 people (82.8%), positive perceptions in the perception of seriousness 57 people (89.1%), perceptions of benefits 42 people (65.6%), self-efficacy 41 people (64.1%), and cues to action 46 people (71.9%). Data collection was conducted on April 21, 2025, at SMA N 1 Kuta. Method this study used a cross sectional approach with a sample of 80 nurses in inpatient ward at Empat Lawang Hospital, and chosen with total sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed in univariate and bivariate (chi-square).Result The results of the study were obtained by most of the 57 (71.3%) showed that most respondents assessed the head nurse’s leadership style as high and job satisfaction was categorized as very satisfied (72.5%). The bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between democratic leadership style and nurses’ job satisfaction (p= 0.000).
