Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of migration of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) abroad on Indonesia's economic growth. This type of research is quantitative research. This research uses secondary data sourced from World Bank and BP2MI data. The data used in this research is time series data from 1983-2019. The method used in this research is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model data analysis method. The research results show that in the short-term migrant workers abroad have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth, while remittances in the short term have a negative and significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Meanwhile, in the long term, migrant workers abroad and remittances have an insignificant negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global threat to public health that causes economic disruption, this also has an impact on the government sector, especially public administration services. Public service facilities play an important role in the human resource strategy that can be implemented by the UP PKB DKI Jakarta transportation office by providing good available facilities to provide service satisfaction for the community. The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of services to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative with Purposive Sampling technique which is distributed through questionnaires to 105 respondents of the KIR test at the UP PKB DKI Jakarta transportation office aged 18-55 years and located in the DKI West Jakarta area. Primary data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of the study obtained H1: The impact of COVID-19 has a positive effect on service satisfaction, H2: New Normal Policy has a positive effect on service satisfaction, H3: Public Service Facilities have a positive effect on service satisfaction, H4: The impact of COVID-19 has a positive effect on the New Normal Policy, H5: The New Normal Policy has a positive effect on Public Service Facilities. This research contributes to the UP PKB DKI Jakarta transportation office in maintaining and improving service satisfaction. It can be seen from several factors formed from community complaints to be evaluated optimally and measurably. For further research, researchers suggest being able to expand the research area and look for objects in other fields.

Abstract

Poverty is still an interesting issue to discuss, because it is still a major problem faced by all countries, both developed and developing countries. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the poverty rate in Papua Province. The data used in this study are secondary data, while the analysis method used is the panel data regression method from 2017-2021 in Papua Province. This study uses dependent variables and independent variables, the dependent variable used is poverty and the independent variables include the Gini index, average years of schooling, construction cost index, and open unemployment rate. The results showed that the Gini index, construction cost index, and open unemployment rate had a positive and significant effect on the poverty rate in Papua Province, while the average years of schooling had a negative and significant effect on the poverty rate in Papua Province.

Abstract

A nation's economy now plays a significant role in its overall growth. A dependable source of money is necessary for the nation to have a robust and stable economy, and tax revenue is one of the most popular sources. This study tries to ascertain how much a nation may optimize its tax income and how far it can go past the issue of moral hazard behavior, which has the potential to destabilize the economy. Tax revenue, the informal economy, the corruption perception index, and economic freedom are the variables that were employed in this study. The regression model employed in this study is the Fixed Effect Model. The findings show that economic freedom and the informal economy have a negative and significant impact on tax revenue, while the corruption perception index variable has a positive and significant impact.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture and work discipline on teacher performance with work motivation as a mediating variable, a case study of teachers in private high schools in Serang district. This study used a type of quantitative research that used a population of 590 teachers with a sample of 160 teachers in Serang district. Data collection techniques use questionnaires distributed online, and literature studies. Data analysis using Parcial Least Square (PLS) with SMARPLS 4.0 application. The results showed that organizational culture and work discipline had a direct positive and significant effect on the work motivation of private high school teachers. Then, organizational culture has a direct positive and significant effect on the performance of private high school teachers, while work discipline has a direct insignificant and negative effect on the performance of private high school teachers in Serang District, Banten. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of private high school teachers in Serang District, Banten. Organizational culture and work discipline indirectly affect teacher performance through work motivation, which means that work motivation acts as an intervening variable.
