Abstract

The development of shipping technology continues with the discovery of new construction methods to achieve fast and cost-effective results. The development of shipping technology is starting to show a better direction and shipping as a means of transportation has become a very promising business for the shipping industry in Indonesia. This is different from the construction of civil ships, where the legal process is still traditional and takes a long time, especially for private ships. It is very important to pay attention to the factors that influence the condition of the ship. Factors related to ship performance and productivity must of course be taken into account, especially when calculating ship cargo. Because increasing the load will reduce the maximum load that the ship can carry and automatically affect the stability of the ship, etc. Under these conditions, it is necessary to calculate the performance of the ship's steel that will be used later so that the collection is in accordance with the ship owner's expectations. The development of working methods is considered negative due to differences in current conditions, especially in the manufacturing sector, especially in the quality of technology and human resources. Therefore, one of the methods used is the lamination technology method, which combines one or more types of materials into one

Abstract

Makassar City is a coastal city in Indonesia with a coastline length of 32 km which includes eleven small islands and a total area of 122,370 km or about 1.1% of the area. This is why Makassar City has a unique character as a coastal city. In recent years, coastal areas in various parts of Indonesia have experienced a very alarming decline, according to the report of the Content Study and Management Plan for Coastal Waters and Oceans, Ministry of Regional Development and Regional Development. Makassar City is one of 30 coastal cities in Indonesia. It is estimated that coastal cities in Indonesia can be affected by rising sea levels in coastal areas, among others; Coastal areas are exposed to negative impacts such as sedimentation (deposition), environmental pollution, then changes in the water system due to human activities and building infrastructure on land but also at sea. The Makassar coastal area has experienced a significant decrease in environmental carrying capacity caused by uncontrolled access to building infrastructure and the condition of the earth's surface shape in coastal areas that can cause disasters. If coastal conditions are not repaired/improved and reduced, it will cause damage to coastal environmental areas which also have an impact on the surrounding areas. The development of this coastal area must be managed by developing the concept of disaster reduction. through the right regional system with me

Abstract

Abstract Coastal areas are stressed by activities and phenomena occurring on land and at sea, including changes in coastal morphology such as abrasion and accretion. Recently, coastal erosion, also known as abrasion, has increased in many places. Coastal erosion itself can be caused by land subsidence, soil erosion, Mangrove Forest damage, damage caused by wave hydrodynamic forces, damage caused by abrasion, and damage caused by abrasion, residents lose residential, agricultural, and aquaculture land. Coastal abrasion is the retreat of the shoreline from its initial position. One of the problems that threatens the condition of the beach and shoreline is that it retreats, damaging ponds and rice fields on the seashore, and threatening structures directly adjacent to seawater.  As a result, most of the productive-aged residents have livelihoods as factory workers and construction laborers. As a result, they lost their livelihoods and also lost their income. The level of vulnerability of an area is influenced by a number of factors. These include the high density of population and vulnerable groups, the number of poor households and fishermen groups, the high density of settlements, and the lack of vegetation in coastal areas that are vulnerable to disaster threats. One way to mitigate abrasion disasters is to know the extent of damage caused by abrasion, know where abrasion occurs, and implement comprehensive and community-based coastal control.    Keywords : Abrasion, Disaster risk, Disaster impact, Abrasion prevention, Coastal area

Abstract

Wakatobi is one of the districts located in the southeast of Sulawesi island. Wakatobi has four major islands including Wangi-Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko. The islands are separated by the ocean. Therefore, this country has considerable potential for marine resources. One of them is related to aquatic resources. For this reason, it is necessary to have a separate location to increase the development of fish stocks in that location, for example with a Fish Auction Place (TPI). Fish Auction Place (TPI) is a place for buying and selling fish and marine products, whether in the form of auction or not, which is located in a port or Fishery Pier (PPI). One of them is located on Tomia Island. The TPI, which was inaugurated in 2018, is expected to increase local revenue (PAD) [1], but in its development it encounters a number of internal and external constraints that can still be overcome through increased development of TPI resources. The purpose of this research is to analyze the development strategy of maritime community in Fish Sales Place (TPI). This research uses descriptive method. With more than 17,000 islands and a coastline length of approximately 81,000 km, Indonesia's coast is an important part of the country's economy. Coastal areas are usually defined as places where all ecosystems meet in a delicate balance. The area of Wakatobi Regency is surrounded by sea water, namely, Buton, Banda, and Flores [3]. Tomia Island has a diversity of economic potential from its tourism and natural resources due to its strategic location. Most of the population works as fishermen, which causes the economic condition of the region to be unstable because the main income comes from the sea.   Keywords : Fish, Sea, Island, Tomia, TPI

Abstract

Center Point of Indonesia or commonly known as CPI is one of the icons of South Sulawesi, more precisely Makassar City. The reclamation and development of Center Point Of Indonesia is a major project that has a major impact on various aspects of human life. This paper aims to explain the impacts that may occur due to the reclamation and development of Center Point Of Indonesia, both positive and negative impacts. This massive renovation project is owned by the provincial government and is used as an integrated global strategic commercial park called Equilibrum Centerpoint Park. The land obtained from this reclamation is a quality development. However, the actual reality shows that there are still many people who have not implemented or practiced good waste management methods, as well as the unavailability of good filtering equipment from the Makassar City Government to avoid water pollution due to careless waste processing. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of CPI (Center Point of Indonesia) development on water pollution around Losari Beach. In this case study, the research methodology used is a literature study. Through this research, the impact of CPI development on water pollution along Losari beach can be known from several readings. Uncontrolled waste disposal patterns or the government's lack of concern for water pollution are controversial issues. This mistake may be due to the impact of reclamation. Abstract

Coastal and marine areas and the resources they contain are the foundation and hope for the future of the Indonesian nation, because coastal and marine areas occupy a fairly large area, around 63% of Indonesia's territory. Coastal and marine areas still have great development potential because they are rich in natural resources. Empowerment and development of coastal community resources is an effort to produce quality human beings who have skills, work ability and loyalty, therefore the involvement of the government and even stakeholders involved in increasing the capacity of coastal communities is expected to improve the standard of living of the community itself and even Indonesia as a whole. Keywords: Coastal resource development, Coastal community empowerment, Coastal natural resource conservation education strategy.

Abstract

In 2006, the Pangandaran Regency area was hit by a tsunami caused by a tectonic earthquake measuring 7.7 SR. The slope conditions in the Pangandaran Regency area have a percentage value ranging from 0% - 4.59%, with this value the vulnerability value to the impacts of the tsunami will be greater. Looking at the slope of the area will show how the slope value is influenced. The data collection method is through previous data and secondary data. This analytical study can be a reference in considering development planning by understanding the surrounding environmental conditions and disaster history of the area, so as to minimize the impact of disasters. Abstract

An activity at a container port  is  not without risk, usually operating lifting and transportation support equipment in the form  of rubber tyre gantry crane (RTG) or  loading container crane (CC). In loading and unloading is one of the big causes of work accidents. One way to control potential risks and hazards is first by analyzing the possibility of work accidents using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to minimize the possibility of work accidents during the loading and unloading process. This study aims to analyze the  potential hazards and risks arising in each container handling activity, using JSA analysis and identifying actions or procedures to control potential hazards and risks that will arise at each stage of work. The advantage of this research is that it can be used as a basis and information in the form of hazards and risks of work accidents and to conduct occupational safety analysis such as assessment of the risk of work accidents in this field. The process of loading and unloading containers is a reference in controlling the risk of accidents in the workplace, especially during handling or haulage activities. The analysis process is carried out after, the process of identifying potential hazards is carried out. Risk assessment is a process of prioritizing the control of the risk level of accidents or occupational diseases, so as to reduce the increased risk of accidents in the loading and unloading process

Abstract

Bantaeng Industrial Zone (KIBA) is located in Bantaeng Regency and was initiated with the establishment of Bantaeng Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2012 concerning the Spatial Planning of Bantaeng Regency for the period 2012-2032. The Pa'jukukang Subdistrict was designated as a large industrial area covering an area of 3,128 hectares. KIBA was also designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN) through Presidential Regulation 9 of 2022 regarding the Amendment to Presidential Regulation 7/2021 on the Amendment of the National Strategic Project List. Based on data from the Bantaeng Regency Investment and One-Stop Service Office from 2010 to 2017, there were 13 companies with various business fields. Changes in the coastline along the Bantaeng coast are caused by sediment transport resulting from wind and wave action. This study aims to determine the characteristics of sediment and the annual sediment transport rate along the coast. The sediment transport analysis results indicate that for the representative 1% wave, it is 2,134.84 m3/year, for the representative 10% wave, it is 993.91 m3/year, for the representative 50% wave, it is 461.45 m3/year, and for the representative 100% wave, it is 147.89 m3/year. All sediment transport is directed westward. The larger the percentage of the representative wave, the smaller the total sediment transport discharge (Q) produced.
