Abstract

Local community culture can support progress in the field of education. The locality of the Banjar community which will be thick with Islamic-based culture becomes a value that can be applied in the field of education which builds the character of the local sons and daughters. Elements of the values of Islamic culture in Banjar can be seen in terms of social morality, mutual cooperation, caring, good hospitality, and others. With the current flow of globalization, locality must be strengthened through educational institutions, and globalization becomes an arena for promoting moral values of national identity.

Abstract

Music plays a significant role in worship and church activities, and this research focuses on how music can be used as a tool to support the mission of teaching and service in the church. Therefore, this study aims to investigate how music can become an effective means of actualizing the mission of teaching and service within the church environment. The research employs a qualitative approach, collecting data through closed observations and document analysis. This study will involve the analysis of church music texts used in the context of teaching and service. The results of this research will reveal various ways in which music is used in the church to support the teaching of religious values, character formation, and community service. Music can serve as a means that enables deep spiritual experiences for the church congregation, aiding them in better understanding and internalizing religious teachings. Furthermore, this research will identify challenges and opportunities in using music as a tool for the church's mission and provide recommendations for enhancing the use of music within the church context. This study is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of music in the church as a means of actualizing the mission of teaching and service. The results of this research are also expected to offer practical guidance for churches in effectively utilizing music to achieve their mission goals.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role and principles of diakonia ministry as found in Acts 6:1-7 and evaluate their relevance in the context of contemporary church ministry. The research methodology involves the analysis of the text of Acts 6:1-7, biblical literature review, and interviews with church leaders. The findings of the study indicate that Acts 6:1-7 illustrates the significance of diakonia ministry in addressing issues within the early church. Principles such as the selection of deacons, serving the needy, and promoting unity within the church are the primary focus. Furthermore, the research analyzes how these principles can be applied in the context of modern church ministry, particularly in addressing the challenges and needs of today’s society. The research concludes that the diakonia principles found in Acts 6:1-7 remain relevant in contemporary church ministry. Implementing these principles can help churches be more effective in serving their congregations and the broader community. This conclusion is expected to serve as a foundation for churches to strengthen their diakonia ministry and make a positive impact in society.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of faith renewal from the perspective of the Apostle Paul, one of the central figures in the early development of Christianity, and how this concept can be implemented in the context of contemporary church faith. This study utilizes bibliographic research methods and textual analysis to comprehend Paul's thoughts on faith and explore its relevance in the present-day Church context. Through his letters in the New Testament, the Apostle Paul developed a rich perspective on faith in relation to grace, righteousness, and sanctification. He also portrayed faith as the foundation of an individual's relationship with God and as the basis of the church community. This study will dissect Paul's theology of faith, including the concept of justification by faith and the significant role of grace in achieving salvation. Furthermore, this research will explore ways to implement the concept of faith renewal in the life of today's church, encompassing aspects such as teaching, social services, and spiritual development in the modern church context. The primary question to be answered is how the church can apply Paul's teachings on faith to strengthen and renew the faith of its members in facing the challenges and dynamics of the present era. The results of this research are expected to provide profound insights into the importance of understanding and implementing the concept of faith renewal in the context of the contemporary Church. Additionally, this research is anticipated to offer practical guidance to church leaders, theologians, and church members on integrating Paul's teachings on faith into their daily lives and ministry.

Abstract

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is a crucial aspect of Christian theology with diverse understandings and interpretations. One significant perspective is that of John Calvin, a Protestant Reformation theologian. This article elucidates Calvin's understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Communion and its implications for the life of the congregation. According to Calvin, the Sacrament of Holy Communion is a sign of God's grace that provides spiritual nourishment to the congregation. Calvin perceives Holy Communion as a symbol conveying spiritual reality. He rejects the doctrine of Transubstantiation, which he views as erroneous, and instead presents the perspective of Consubstantiation, where Christ is spiritually present in the elements of Holy Communion. For Calvin, the physical elements (bread and wine) remain in their physical form, but Christ is spiritually present to bless and strengthen the faith of the congregation. The implications of Calvin's understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the life of the congregation are manifold. Firstly, Calvin emphasizes the importance of active participation by the congregation in Holy Communion. This prompts the idea that the congregation should celebrate Holy Communion regularly as a sign of their fidelity to Christ. This activity strengthens the communion between the congregation and Christ. Secondly, Calvin teaches that Holy Communion serves as a reminder of Christ's death and the forgiveness of our sins through His sacrifice. It reminds the congregation of the importance of repentance and righteous living in accordance with Christ's teachings. Thirdly, Calvin also connects the Sacrament of Holy Communion with an understanding of the body of Christ, which is the church. This encourages the congregation to be attentive to the welfare of others and participate in the service and fellowship of the church. Thus, John Calvin's understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Communion has profound implications for the life of the congregation. It encourages activity, awareness of God's grace, repentance, and fidelity to the teachings of Christ. In Calvin's view, the Sacrament of Holy Communion is a powerful instrument for strengthening the faith and commitment of the congregation to Christ and the church.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the concept of wisdom in the context of Christian education using the narrative of wisdom bestowed upon King Solomon in 1 Kings 3:1-15 as a starting point. The study integrates an exegesis of the Biblical text, analysis of Christian literature, and an educational approach to grasp the profound meaning of wisdom and how it can serve as a crucial foundation in Christian education. The findings of this research indicate that wisdom, as reflected in the story of Solomon, encompasses not only wisdom or knowledge, but also includes moral, ethical, and spiritual aspects. Wisdom in Christian education goes beyond acquiring knowledge; it also involves the formation of strong character and spirituality. This research also highlights the importance of integrating the teachings of wisdom into the Christian education curriculum, providing guidance for teachers to develop teaching strategies that emphasize the values of wisdom, and exploring the potential for personal development within the context of Christian education. Therefore, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of wisdom as the foundation of Christian education, offering both theoretical and practical foundations for the development of a holistic Christian education based on the wisdom values of the Bible.

Abstract

The background of this research is that Jama'ah Tabligh as a da'wah group, has a method or method that is different from other Jama'ah Tabligh movement groups in general, they carry out da'wah by leaving the village where they live to another village. Staying at the mosque by visiting residents' homes reminding them of the importance of faith and good deeds in the afterlife. How to preach Islamic teachings with this method does not gain support from the community. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Descriptive research means that the research is carried out only with the aim of describing a state or status phenomenon in a particular situation, including relationships, activities, attitudes, views, and the occurrence of the phenomenon. Data collection was carried out by making observations (observations), interviews, documentation, and looking for research results in the field. This type of research in this study was faced with various considerations, namely first to make it easier to describe research results so that they are easy to understand, second, research is expected to be able to build kinship between researchers and informants so that researchers can present data in the form of facts that occur in the field. From the results of research conducted at Gobah V Surau Tilatang Kamang where people's perceptions of jama'ah tabligh are divided into two, the first community who practice the teachings of Islam have succeeded in inviting people who come to the mosque to carry out their worship. worship, but after the presence of the tabligh congregation group you can see the people who come to pray at the mosque are getting better day by day. The form of teaching used by the tabligh congregation in Gobah V Surau which is the ideology of the movement understood by members of the tabligh congregation are twenty ushuk al-dakwah which must be obeyed by a preacher in carrying out khuruj.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the development strategy used by the Batang Sianok Syariah Hotel using SWOT analysis. This type of research uses qualitative data such as interviews, observations, and documentation which is carried out directly with the owners and employees of the Batang Sianok Syariah Hotel to obtain accurate, precise and real data. This study used 3 research informants such as interviews with the owner (owner), as well as hotel managers and hotel employees. In addition, the data obtained was also analyzed by the authors by applying SWOT analysis, IFE, EFE, SWOT Matrix, and Score Table. From this research it can be concluded that the Batang Sianok Syariah Hotel development strategy needs to take advantage of existing opportunities by minimizing the weaknesses possessed by the hotel. This strategy can be carried out by increasing promotional activities, cooperating with various agencies, improving products and services, adding existing facilities and improving the condition of hotel buildings, in this way it will be easier for hotels to attract potential customers.

Abstract

The backgrounnd of this research is that oil palm farmers in managing oil palm plantations have not been maximizeed sothat it affects the quality of oil palm fruit and the ethics of oil palm farmers paying workers' wages noton tine. The purpose off this studiy was todetermine the management of coconut plantations and the management of oil palm plantations from the Islamic business perspective of Muara Kiawai, West Pasaman Regency. This researrch uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The tyipe of data use is primary data andsecondary data and uses data collectcion techniques by observatiion, interviewsand documentati. Based on the results of the study, the management of oil palm plantations in Muara Kiawai Pasaman Barat has not been maximized. Oil palm farmers in Muara Kiawai do not understand about their own nurseries and buy them at nurseries at quite expensive prices. Oil palm farmers do not know the planting time in planting oil palm. Hygiene maintenance around the oil palm was not paid attention to, they did not have plates and the farmers did not understand the dosage of fertilization. In controlling pests and diseases of oil palm farmers only allow pests and weeds to interfere. In the harvesting process, farmers harvest palm oil before it is time to harvest due to urgent circumstances that affect unproductive yelds. Therefore, optimal management is needed to increase crop yields. Complaints of oil palm farmers when the priceof palm oil is low and the price of fertilizer is getting higher, making farmers experience difficulties. Then the Islamic business ethics of oil palm smallholders in managing oil palm plantations results in delays in payment of wages to workers. This is notin accordance witth the objective ofthe principle of monotheism, which is to form a unified whole.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of knowledge in the community about i-Deposit products, so that there are many methods that are used by each bank in carrying out the strategy. One of them is by promoting it at least by providing explanations or knowledge to the community about the idea deposit product i. This research aims to find out how the marketing strategy for the deposit product is in the face of competition between other Islamic financial institutions. In this description, the research used is in the form of field research which is qualitatively descriptive in nature by using iSWOT analysis. Because of that, the writer must know how the condition of the company, namely the internal and external factors that influence the marketing strategy that exists in the company, i. The Weakness-Opportunities (WO) strategy gets a weight of 3.42. While the Strength-Threats (ST) strategy gets a weight of 2.95. The Weakness-Threats (WT) strategy gets a weight of 2.27. So that from the results of calculating the weight of the SWOT Matrix score, BMT Al-Fataya can use and make the most of its strengths and opportunities so as to achieve increased marketing of deposit products. Then BMT Al-Fataya is able to face weaknesses and threats in marketing these deposit products.
