Abstract

One of the occupational health risks of tobacco farmers is Green Tobacco Sickness (GTS). The large number of Green Tobacco Sickness incidents nationally and internationally experienced by green tobacco farmers has led to a great deal of research being conducted to determine the process of occurrence of the disease, the impact on health and other fields, the prevention, and management of this disease. The method used in this literature review is to re-expose published information and then return briefly without reducing the essence of the topic of discussion. The journal used in making literature reviews was obtained from 3 database source, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct published between 2018-2021. The aim of the study was to describe the incidence of Green Tobacco Sickness in the farmers in the green tobacco farming area. The conclusion of this study is based on some research, it is stated that tobacco farmers already understand about GTS and the symptoms that can arise due to GTS. However, several other studies have shown that the educational level of tobacco farmers is included in the low category where this can affect workers to protect or prevent diseases caused by the work they do. Based on these results, it is hoped that there will be a role for nurses who can support the reduction of Green Tobacco Sickness (GTS) cases such as counseling to green tobacco farmers about the dangers of GTS and prevention efforts such as using good and correct PPE.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk that is given to babies from birth for 6 months, without adding/replacing other intakes (except drugs, vitamins, minerals). Exclusive breastfeeding coverage at the Guntung Manggis Health Center in the last 3 years was 42.56% (2019), 62.88% (2020) and 35.29% (2021). There was a decrease of 27.59% in 2021. In addition, this figure has not reached the target at the Guntung Manggis Health Center, which is 65%. Objectives: To determine the relationship between mother's work, family support and health workers with exclusive breastfeeding for infants 6-12 months. Methods: Analytica observation with a cross sectional study design. Results: Exclusive breastfeeding was 33.3%. Mother works 55.6% and 44.4% does not work when the baby is 0-6 months old. Mothers with less family support are 64.4% and good are 35.6%. Mothers with less support from health workers are 64.4% and good are 35.6%. There is relationship between mother's work, family support and support from health workers with exclusive breastfeeding. Conclusions: There is a relationship between mother's work, family support and support from health workers with exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 6-12 months in the working area of the Guntung Manggis Health Center.

Abstract

Abstract

Hypertension is a common blood vessel disease suffered by the community, characterized by an increase in systolic blood pressure above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure above 90 mmHg. Objective: This study aimed to found out the correlation between family history, consumption patterns of dietary fat and sodium and physical activity with the incidence of hypertension in the work area of the Lolo Health Center, Paser Regency. Methods: This research is an analytic observational with a cross sectional design. The population is the entire population aged 35-59 years. Samples were taken as many as 48 people with accidental sampling technique. Data collection was collected through interviews with questionnaires. Results: based on the results of the study showed that there was a relationship between family history (p=0.018), dietary fat consumption patterns (p=0.001), physical activity (p=0.003) with the incidence of hypertension, and there was no relationship between consumption patterns of sodium with the incidence of hypertension (p=0.099). Conclusion: respondents are expected to check their blood pressure regularly, limit the consumption of foods that contain high fat and sodium by replacing increased consumption of fruits and vegetables and routinely doing physical activities.

Abstract

Background : Hypoalbuminemia is a condition where the albumin level in the blood falls below normal. Hypoalbuminemia is known as a marker of protein energy malnutrition, inflammation, infection, liver disease, kidney disease and postoperative stress. In Indonesia, malnutrition hospital data shows 40-50% of patients have hypoalbuminemia or are at risk of hypoalbuminemia, 12% of them are severe hypoalbuminemia, and the hospitalization period for patients with hospital malnutrition shows 90% longer than patients with good nutrition. Decreased albumin levels can be associated with a decrease in the immune system and slow healing of tissues/wounds due to infection. Neutrophils and lymphocytes whose numbers increase when inflammation occurs. Oral administration of high protein with snakehead fish extract ( Channa striata ) is an alternative treatment for hypoalbuminemia. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of snakehead fish extract (Channa striata) on albumin, neutrophil, and lymphocyte levels in hypoalbuminemic patients. Method: Articles are compiled using a systematic method literature review , involving national and international journals by taking journals through Google scholar, Pubmed, Research Gate, Scient direct. Results: There was an effect of giving snakehead fish extract on albumin levels, neutrophil values, and lymphocyte values in hypoalbuinemic patients and experimental animals. Conclusion: The content of amino acids, albumin, Zn, Fe, Cu and unsaturated fatty acids in snakehead fish ( Ophiocephalus striatus) is quite effective as an effort to increase albumin levels, decrease neutrophil and lymphocyte values when inflammation occurs in hypoalbuminemic patients. Keywords: Channa striata extract , Albumin, Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Hypoalbuminemia
