Abstract

The number of community health nurses is not balanced with the workload given. This causes nurses at risk of experiencing physical and psychological problems that have an impact on the quality of life of the professional community health nurses. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between workload and professional quality of life in percescent nurses at the Jember district health center. This study uses a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 74 respondents. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling and proportionate random sampling. Data collection was conducted in January-March 2019. The questionnaire used was NASA-TLX (? = 0.781) and ProQoL-5 (? = 0.903). The statistical test used is spearman rank. The results showed that there was no relationship between workload and professional quality of life (p value = 0.372; CI = 95%). Community health nurses have workload (78.4%), compassion satisfaction (9.5%), burnout (59.5%) and stress traumatic secunder (13.5%) in the moderate category. High motivation and hard work of nurses in carrying out their responsibilities make the performance of nurses good, even though they have a moderate workload. Evaluation from the head of the room and also the demands of the workplace agency make the nurse work optimally. No one has measured the quality of life professionally directly but through their performance. The results of this study are expected to be an additional reference in the development of research in the field of workload and quality of life professional.

Abstract

Most of the post-ORIF patients experience pain during wound care. Therapy analgesics and Complementary Alternative Medicine can be used to reduce pain during wound care. Acupressure and murottal Al-Qur'an are an alternative therapy that can be used to reduce pain. This study aims to explain the effect of acupressure and murottal Al-Quran in reducing the intensity of pain during wound care in patients post ORIF and increase levels of β-endorphins in urine. This research uses the Quasi-Experimental approach with pre-test-post-test. This research was conducted in dr. Soebandi Hospital. The sample of research was done by consecutive sampling technique, consist of 28 respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, numeric pain scales, ELISA kits, and analyzed by ANOVA test. Acupressure, murottal Al-Quran, and a combination of acupressure and murottal Al-Quran have significantly reduced the intensity of pain during wound care in patients post ORIF. There is no intervention more effective between acupressure, murottal al-Quran and combination of acupressure and murottal al-Quran in reducing pain intensity. Acupressure, murottal Al-Quran, combined acupressure and murottal Al-Quran significantly can not increase β-endorphin level in urine. Acupressure, murottal Al-Quran, and a combination of acupressure and murottal Al-Quran are a good alternative therapy used to reduce pain intensity during wound care in patients post-ORIF but this intervention still can not increase β-endorphin in urine.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is some of the symptoms that occur in pregnancy, childbirth, and puerperal women, which are characterized by hypertension, edema, and increased proteinuria. Preeclampsia usually occurs when pregnancy enters the age of 20 weeks to 48 hours after the birth process. In that condition, there are undesirable complications during pregnancy that can make mothers more vulnerable to psychological disorders, one of which is stress. Stress experienced during pregnancy can affect the health of the baby and can also improve poor sleep quality. This study aims to analyze the relationship of stress levels with the quality of preeclampsia sleep in the Tempurejo Community Health Center in Jember. This research was conducted on 31 preeclampsia mothers using a correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach and total sampling techniques. Data collection using questionnaires stress and sleep quality. The results showed 19 (61.3)% of respondents experienced mild stress, and 26 (83.9)% experienced poor sleep quality. The results of data analysis using the spearmen statistical test obtained p-value 0.001 and r = 0.894, which means there is a relationship between stress levels and sleep quality or ha is accepted. R-value = 0.396 means that the correlation between stress levels and sleep quality in preeclampsia has a positive correlation with weak correlation strength. Nursing implications for further research can intervene in interventions that can reduce stress levels with the quality of sleep in preeclampsia mothers to reduce the factors of preeclampsia.
