Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze reviews of guest satisfaction levels regarding service quality at the Compass Rose Rstaurant at The Anmon Resort Bintan. This research uses a descriptive research type with a quantitative approach. The population and the sample in this study was 100 respondents with sampling using a purposive sampling technique. This data collection method by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The research results show that service quality variable has a positive and insignificant effect on guest satisfaction. The results of the t test analysis can be concluded that the calculated t is greater than the significance compared to the t table data, namely 1.765 > 1.658. Thus, the hypothesis in this research there is a positive relationship between the guest satisfaction variable and the service quality variable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze both the partial and simultaneous effects of independent variables, namely product quality (X1) and price (X2), on the dependent variable, which is customer satisfaction (Y). The research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a simple random sampling technique based on Slovin's formula for sample calculation. The respondents in this study are consumers who have purchased 3Second products through the Lazada marketplace, with a total sample size of 100 participants. Data processing is conducted using SPSS software version 27. Based on the results of the partial test (t-test), product quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a t-value of 2.092, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.660, and a significance level of 0.039, which is below the threshold of 0.05. Similarly, the price variable has a significant impact on customer satisfaction, with a t-value of 2.013, exceeding the t-table value of 1.660, and a significance level of 0.047, which is less than 0.05. Meanwhile, in the simultaneous test (F-test), both independent variables—product quality (X1) and price (X2)—together have a significant influence on customer satisfaction (Y), with an F-value of 6.252, which is higher than the F-table value of 3.09, and a significance level of 0.003, which is below 0.05. Additionally, the determination test (R²) results indicate that the correlation between product quality (X1) and price (X2) with customer satisfaction (Y) reaches 89.3%.

Abstract

The existence of a university in an area not only has an impact on the educational aspect, but also brings significant changes to the social and economic conditions of the surrounding community. This phenomenon is clearly seen in Senyawan Hamlet, Sebayan Village, Sambas District, which experienced an economic transformation after the establishment of the Sultan Muhammad Syafiudin Sambas Islamic Institute and the Sambas State Polytechnic. Before the existence of a university, the majority of the Senyawan Hamlet community worked as farmers with limited income. However, along with the increasing number of students, various business opportunities emerged, one of which was the canteen business which was growing rapidly around the campus. This study aims to analyze the impact of the existence of a university on the welfare level of canteen business actors in Senyawan Hamlet. In addition, this study also seeks to identify the obstacles faced by business actors in improving their welfare. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews with canteen business actors, and documentation. The results of the study show that the existence of a university has a significant economic impact on the local community. Canteen business actors experienced an increase in income compared to their previous professions, such as farmers and migrant workers. The canteen business is a rapidly growing sector because it has a fast capital turnover and stable demand from students. However, despite providing economic benefits, canteen business actors face several challenges, such as tight competition, fluctuations in raw material prices, and dependence on the number of students who decrease during academic holidays.
