Jurnal Ilmiah Arjouna (Architecture and Environment Journal of Krisnadwipayana) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Teknik Universitas Krisnadwipayana Program Studi Arsitektur secara berkala, setiap semester atau 2 kali setahun dalam bahasa Indonesia. Jurnal Ilmiah Arjouna memuat tulisan ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian ataupun kajian ilmiah yang menjelaskan konsep keilmuan dan ide-ide pemikiran baru mengenai bidang ilmu arsitektur dan ilmu lingkungan (alam, buatan dan sosial). Abstract

This research is entitled Aesthetics of the Van Der Wijck Fortress building in Kebumen. Van der Wijck Fort isa Dutch colonial heritage building located in the Gombong SECATA (Tamtama Candidate School) complex whichis located at Jalan Sapta Marga Gombong. Aesthetics in architecture is a visual art that is a value that pleases theeye and the mind, namely the value of pleasant forms and expressions. The purpose of this paper is for the publicto know the value of architectural art contained in the Van der Wijck Fort, both in the arrangement of the roomsand the materials for the building of the fort. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis whichconsists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is that thearchitectural art value of Van Der Wijck Fortress is very unique, in terms of the shape of this fort is in the form ofan octagonal or an octagonal, from the facade of the building it is also unique in the window and door openings,namely a semicircle, the wall thickness is 1.4 meters so that the fort building is very sturdy, flat material usingbricks, including the roof on the fort also uses brick materia

Abstract

Pedestrians are sidewalks that are intended for pedestrians to enjoy the feel ofurban buildings and City / Regency parks. Pedestrians are a key indicator for theadvancement of civilization and future city development. In fact, many pedestrianshave become parking lots for cars or motorcycles, and have become areas for streetvendors selling their wares. This creates a feeling of discomfort for pedestrians andtourists who want to take a walk to enjoy urban and rural areas, City development isvery influential on population factors and on the other hand it also depends on thecarrying capacity of land and regional capabilities, in terms of financing or budgetcosts.

Abstract

In building a building, we must know what type of structure is right for use, wide-span structural systems are ofseveral kinds, such as cable structure systems, arc structure systems, dome structure systems, shell structuralsystems, pneumatic structural systems, membrane structure systems, systems space frame structure and foldplane structure system. Therefore we have to adjust the shape of the structure to the building we are going tobuild. For example, when we are going to build a mosque, we have to use a structural system in accordance withthe mosque building, if we are wrong to apply the structure to the building we are going to make, the buildingwill lose its aesthetic and architectural value. So it is very important for us to understand the various types andfunctions of the structural system itself. Before that we need to understand that a wide-span building is a buildingthat allows the use of column-free space as wide and as long as possible. Wide-span buildings are usually used toaccommodate activities that require a large enough column-free space, such as for sports activities in the form ofa stadium building, a performance hall, an auditorium, and exhibition activities or exhibition buildings. If thebuilding has a span of less than 10 meters, then we don't have to use the structural system to save constructioncosts, we can just use the general structural system.

Abstract

Waste management in Bekasi Regency is still done conventionally through containerization, collection, transportation, and final disposal (Negara, 2020). Traditional markets contribute around 24% of the total waste, dominated by organic and inorganic waste. Kranji Baru traditional market faces obstacles such as limited treatment facilities, low user awareness, as well as the less strategic location of Temporary Storage Sites (TPS). This study analyzes the impact of waste management on air quality and user comfort (Waluyo & Pramitasari, 2023) and identifies factors that influence its effectiveness. This research uses a mixed-method method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Measurements of temperature, humidity, and waste volume were conducted quantitatively, while observations and interviews with traders and visitors were conducted qualitatively. The study results show that the market produces an average of 1.5 tons of waste per day with a composition of 60% organic and 40% inorganic. Waste is transported twice a day, but the separation and treatment system is still not optimal. The location of the TPS on the edge of the main road causes odor pollution that disturbs users' comfort. In addition, the lack of ventilation increases humidity to 75%-85% and the market temperature reaches 30°C - 33°C, higher than the surrounding environment. 65% of visitors complained about the odor of waste, while 40% of vendors stated that high humidity affected the quality of their wares. Recommendations for this study include separation of waste at source, education for market users, relocation of TPS to a strategic location with a closed system, and improvement of ventilation and drainage systems to improve the comfort of market users.

Abstract

Keberlanjutan dalam arsitektur modern menjadi perhatian utama dalam mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Arsitektur tradisional Sunda memiliki nilai ekologi yang relevan, seperti yang diterapkan di Yayasan Bambu Indonesia, Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana arsitektur tradisional Sunda berkontribusi terhadap keberlanjutan dengan pendekatan ekologi.Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada bangunan di Yayasan Bambu Indonesia. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan teori arsitektur ekologi dari Frick (2007), Widigdo (2008), dan Metallinaou (2006). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberlanjutan dicapai melalui beberapa prinsip: (1) pemeliharaan sumber daya alam dengan penempatan massa bangunan di pinggiran tapak, (2) pengelolaan tanah, air, dan udara dengan adaptasi terhadap kontur, sistem resapan air, dan ruang hijau, (3) penggunaan sistem bangunan hemat energi dengan atap berventilasi dan bukaan optimal, (4) pemanfaatan material lokal seperti bambu dan kayu, (5) pengolahan limbah secara terintegrasi, (6) peningkatan kualitas udara dengan vegetasi, serta (7) penerapan teknologi ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Cafe is a place that provides foods and drinks, especially coffee. The Diffrences between a cafe and restaurant are the concept, atmosphere and type of food served. Cafes are designed with the aim of being a place to relax, discuss and even work for long hours, so user comfort needs to be considered that visitors can use the cafe comfortably. In this research, thermal or temperature is one of the factors that influences comfort in a building. Apart from that, with the Green Building Council Indonesia standard, it is hoped that the building will not only provide comfort to users, but also provide sustainability to the surrounding environment

Abstract

This study examines the characteristics of Art Deco in the works of Frans Johan, focusing on design analysis and cultural significance. Art Deco, known for its elegance, luxury, and modernity, influenced various artistic fields, including architecture, interior design, and visual arts during the early 20th century. Frans Johan, as one of the prominent figures in this style, integrated geometric patterns, bold colors, and ornamental details that reflect the spirit of the era. This research utilizes a qualitative approach, analyzing selected artworks through visual observation and literature review. The findings reveal the unique application of Art Deco elements in Johan's works, highlighting his contribution to the evolution of modern design. Furthermore, the study explores the cultural significance of his creations, revealing how they reflect social dynamics and aesthetic values of the time. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of Art Deco's impact on artistic development and cultural identity.

Abstract

Industrial architecture has become a trend in commercial building design, including retail stores. This style emphasizes elements such as exposed structures, raw materials, and functional aesthetics. This study aims to analyze the application of industrial architecture in the Decathlon Summarecon sports store in Bekasi City and identify the key elements used in its implementation. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a literature study approach and visual observation of design elements. The results show that the application of industrial architecture in this store is evident from the use of exposed materials such as concrete, steel, and wood, an open structure that creates a spacious impression, and exposed mechanical elements that reinforce the industrial character. Additionally, the choice of natural colors in the materials provides an authentic and functional impression. This study offers insights for architects and interior designers in adapting the concept of industrial architecture to other retail stores to enhance their appeal

Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi dampak pencahayaan dan ventilasi terhadap tingkat kenyamanan di Cafe Interaksi Bekasi.Tingkat kenyamanan pelanggan menjadi faktor penting untuk meningkatkan daya tarik dan mempertahankan pelanggan di sebuah kedai kopi.Pencahayaan dan ventilasi yang sesuai dapat menciptakan suasana yang nyaman serta mendukung interaksi sosial.Studi ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data primer yang terdiridari pengukuran intensitas pencahayaan,kualitas sirkulasi udara,dan survey tentang tingkat kenyamanan para pengunjung.Data tersebut kemudian dianalisismenggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk mengevaluasinilai hubungan antara variabel pencahayaandan ventilasi dengan tingkat kenyamanan.

Abstract

Jakarta International Equestrian Park (JIEP) is an international-scale equestrian sports facility featuring a grandstand design with well-balanced proportions. This study aims to analyze the application of the Golden Section (Golden Ratio) in the design of JIEP's main grandstand to determine the extent to which the Golden Section principles are implemented in its architectural design. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method, utilizing the Photo Match feature in SketchUp to reconstruct a three-dimensional model of the grandstand based on collected photographs. To enhance accuracy, direct measurements were also conducted using a laser distance meter. The analysis results indicate that while certain design elements of the grandstand align with the Golden Ratio, the application is not entirely consistent. This study provides new insights into the relevance of the Golden Section principle in the design of modern sports facilities.
