Jurnal Ilmiah Arjouna memuat tulisan ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian ataupun kajian ilmiah yang menjelaskan konsep keilmuan dan ide-ide pemikiran baru mengenai bidang ilmu arsitektur dan ilmu lingkungan (alam, buatan dan sosial). Abstract

This research is entitled Aesthetics of the Van Der Wijck Fortress building in Kebumen. Van der Wijck Fort isa Dutch colonial heritage building located in the Gombong SECATA (Tamtama Candidate School) complex whichis located at Jalan Sapta Marga Gombong. Aesthetics in architecture is a visual art that is a value that pleases theeye and the mind, namely the value of pleasant forms and expressions. The purpose of this paper is for the publicto know the value of architectural art contained in the Van der Wijck Fort, both in the arrangement of the roomsand the materials for the building of the fort. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis whichconsists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is that thearchitectural art value of Van Der Wijck Fortress is very unique, in terms of the shape of this fort is in the form ofan octagonal or an octagonal, from the facade of the building it is also unique in the window and door openings,namely a semicircle, the wall thickness is 1.4 meters so that the fort building is very sturdy, flat material usingbricks, including the roof on the fort also uses brick materia

Abstract

Pedestrians are sidewalks that are intended for pedestrians to enjoy the feel ofurban buildings and City / Regency parks. Pedestrians are a key indicator for theadvancement of civilization and future city development. In fact, many pedestrianshave become parking lots for cars or motorcycles, and have become areas for streetvendors selling their wares. This creates a feeling of discomfort for pedestrians andtourists who want to take a walk to enjoy urban and rural areas, City development isvery influential on population factors and on the other hand it also depends on thecarrying capacity of land and regional capabilities, in terms of financing or budgetcosts.

Abstract

In building a building, we must know what type of structure is right for use, wide-span structural systems are ofseveral kinds, such as cable structure systems, arc structure systems, dome structure systems, shell structuralsystems, pneumatic structural systems, membrane structure systems, systems space frame structure and foldplane structure system. Therefore we have to adjust the shape of the structure to the building we are going tobuild. For example, when we are going to build a mosque, we have to use a structural system in accordance withthe mosque building, if we are wrong to apply the structure to the building we are going to make, the buildingwill lose its aesthetic and architectural value. So it is very important for us to understand the various types andfunctions of the structural system itself. Before that we need to understand that a wide-span building is a buildingthat allows the use of column-free space as wide and as long as possible. Wide-span buildings are usually used toaccommodate activities that require a large enough column-free space, such as for sports activities in the form ofa stadium building, a performance hall, an auditorium, and exhibition activities or exhibition buildings. If thebuilding has a span of less than 10 meters, then we don't have to use the structural system to save constructioncosts, we can just use the general structural system.
