Abstract

Pod husks from waste cocoa crops used as alternative feed goats Peranakan Etawah. This study aims to determine the impact of the pod husks as a feed supplement to increase body size of adult female and parent in preparing for pregnancy. A total of 30 goats were divided into 16 tails dara and 14 breeding, reared intensively for 60 days. Pod husks were feeding as many as 1000-1500 g / head / day. The analysis used the PCR RFLP. The results showed the average growth of Body Lenght for the adult female, the prolific parent and single parent respectively by 1.75, 2:18 and 1:59 cm, while the average increase respectively Shoulder Height 1:49, and 1:12 1.97 cm. The results of the analysis of PCR RFLP GH MspI produced three genotypes, namely TT; TC and CC. Obtained genotype frequencies of TT (0091); TC (0409) and CC (0500). GH MspI gene polymorphism is not associated with the prolific nature, but related with the average increase in body size. It can be seen in the TT genotype showed the average increase Body Lenght (2.26 cm) and Shoulder Height (1.80), while TC and CC is almost the same (not different). Program selection on the growth potential of goats can use TT genotype.

Abstract

The processing of liquid cement is likely to decrease sperm motility. It can be caused by the oxidative reaction to increase the amount of free radicals. Noni (Morinda citrifolia Linn) contains many antioxidants that can serve counteract free radicals. This study aims to determine the addition of extracts of noni (Morinda citrifolia Linn) in order to maintain the individual motility of spermatozoa in the semen liquid Bali cattle. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Reproduction Semen Processing Unit Faculty of Animal Husbandry Hasanuddin University Makassar. Extracts of noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia Linn) effect on sperm motility (P <0.05). Storage P0 at 3 h to day 2 showed higher motility. Concentration 0,02 gr/ml (P1) gives the best results in maintaining sperm motility on day 3rd to 5th. Extracts of noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia Linn) can retain sperm motility because many contain many antioxidants that serve to neutralize free radicals cause a decrease in sperm motility during equilibration at 5 0C.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which farmers in adopting the technology of artificial insemination by measuring the time it takes breeders from receipt of the information to be applied , the quality of AI ( Application and recommendation ) , and Area Applied IB in cattle . The research was conducted in August - September 2014 against 30 respondents from 30 populations breeders who use technology AI ( Artificial Insemination ) . Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by using tables Distribution Frekuwensi results showed adoption rate of technological innovation Artificial Insemination ( AI ) in beef cattle farms in the district Lalabata Soppeng ie Stage time is needed breeders from the receipt of the information to be obtained on application High category in the sense of the ability of farmers to adopt an innovation has been rapid , stage area located on the application of Low Category this suggests that the broad application of the implementation of the AI in the district as a whole Lalabata the breeder has done these activities , but not all animals in peliharanya apply technology Artificial Insemination ( AI ) , and Phase AI quality is in the category Medium this suggests that the quality of AI in District Lalabata Soppeng ie almost entirely of farmers already know the signs of estrus in livestock before conducting AI. Abstract

Penelitian di laksanakan di peternakan di peternakan ayam petelur tipe ayam petelurLohmann Brow produksi dari Jakfa konfeed Sidoarjo milik Bapak Mujito Farm, DesaPikatan, Kecamatan Wonodadi, Kabupaten Blitar, mulai tanggal 23 juli hingga 23 agustus2013. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui perbedaan kandang terhadapproduktivitas ayam petelur fase grower yang meliputi pertambahan bobot badan, mortalitas,sisa pakan ayam petelur fase grower.Materi yang di gunakan adalah ayam petelur fase grower umur 8 minggu , sebanyak200 ekor di tempatkan dalam wadah kandang baterai sebanyak 100 ekor dan kandang postalsebanyak 100 ekor,dengan bobot badan awal 680 gr/ekor yang di pelihara selama 30 hariserta pemberian pakan sebesar 58 gr/ekor per hari. Pakan yang di gunakan adalah KosentratKBR- 1 di produksi PT. Wonokoyo Jaya Corp Surabaya, Jagung, dedak halus, dan bahanpendukung (premix,mineral,anti jamur). Metode yang di gunakan adalah metode percobaanlapang dengan menggunakan membandingkan dua kandang yang berbeda denganmenggunakan uji T. Apabila terdapat perbedaan pengaruh terhadap yang di amati adalahpertambahan bobot badan (gr/ekor), mortalitas ( /ekor), Konversi pakan( gr/ekor). Kandangyang di gunakan adalah kandang baterai sebanyak 50 unit kandang dan kandang postalsebanyak 10 unit kandang.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perbedaan kandang terhadap pertambahan beratbadan (PBB)ayam petelur fase grower denga perhitungan Uji t memberikan pengaruh yangsangat nyata (<0,05) terhadap pertambahan berat badan (PBB) yaitu kandang baterai1150±68,31 dan kandang postal 1089±7360, , konversi pakan yaitu kandang baterai1,3597±0,50 dan kandang postal 1,6203±0,50, mortalita untuk mortalitas hanya terjadikanibalisme. Hal ini di karenakan perbedaan kandang baterai dan postal meliputi ukurankandang yang berbeda, aktifitas ayam dalam kandang, perlakuan tiap kandang , populasiayam tiap kandang , kelembapan udara, konversi pakan yang di konsumsi tiap ekor.Dismpulkan semakin sedikit aktifitas ayam petelur fase grower maka energi yang dikonsumsi dari pakan yang di berikan akan sedikit yang terbuang.Untuk memperoleh penampilan yang yang paling baik di sarankan menggunakankandang sistem baterai pada ayam petelur fase grower, serta perlu adanya perhatian mengenaiukuran kandang dan populasi di setiap kandang,selain memudahkan pengonterolan ternakuntuk selalu melakukan penimbangan berat badan di akhir umur ayam, dan konversi pakantiap minggu umur ayam, perkembangan berat badan ayam dapat cepat terpantau.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengeluaran atau biaya-biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam usaha peternakan sapi perah laktasi, mengetahui penerimaan dalam usaha peternakan sapi perah laktasi dan mengetahui pendapatan usaha peternakan sapi perah laktasi.Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan penelitian ini adalah biaya total pada usaha peternakan sapi perah laktasi di Desa Minggirsari yaitu sebesar Rp. 52.934.600/tahun terdiri dari biaya tetap sebesar Rp. 8.141.100/tahun dan biaya variabel sebesar Rp. 44.793.500/tahun. Total penerimaan pada usaha peternakan sapi perah laktasi Di Desa Minggirsari yaitu sebesar Rp. 56.069.700/tahun terdiri dari penjualan susu sebesar Rp. 45.864.700/tahun, penjualan pedet sebesar Rp. 5.233.300/tahun, dan penjualan sapi afkir sebesar Rp. 3.925.000, dan penjualan limbah sebesar Rp. 1.046.700/tahun. Keuntungan usaha peternakan sapi perah laktasi di Desa Minggirsari sebesar Rp. 3.135.000/tahun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan : sebaiknya peternak melakukan analisis pendapatan dengan teliti agar dapat mengetahui jumlh pendapatan bersih yang diperoleh, sebaiknya peternak meningkatkan jumlah sapi perah laktasi yang dipelihara sehingga keutungan yang diperoleh lebih besar, dan sebaiknya pemerintah membatasi impor susu sapi sehingga kesejahteraan pelaku usaha peternakan sapi perah meningkat.

Abstract

Rapid growth rate in broilers is always followed by a rapid fatty liver, in which fat storage tends to increase with increasing body weight. The rapid growth in broilers that are often followed by a fatty is higher, it becomes a problem for consumers who want a chicken with a low fatty. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding the juice of betel leaves to body weight of broiler chickens. This research was conducted in 9 March to 6 April 2014 for 28 days at Hamlet Village Kedungrejo Salamrejo Binangun District of Blitar. This research used an experimental method that uses a completely randomized design (CRD) using 4 treatments with 5 replicates, each replicate consisting 5 Broiler. The Results showed the treatment had no significant effect (P = 0.05) on body weight. Based on statistical calculations did not show any differences. The absence of significant differences is due to the weight of the chicken that uniform between treatments and content of feed used primarily energy and protein in the diet is almost the same.Keyword : Betlle Leaf Juice, Broiler Again, FCR

Abstract

Etawa Cross Goat (PE) is a kind of a goat. It is a cross breed between Etawa and Kacang goat. Climate, Temperature and Humidity are the important factors to increase the weight of a goat. Some kinds of goat are spread in a mountain range or plateau because the goat is like it. Problem of research is the effect of different site in increasing the weight of weaned male Etawa Cross Goat. Objective of study: To investigate the effect of different site to the weight of weaned male Etawa cross Goat. Method of study: This study is using Experimental design. It is intended to find out the effect of different site to the weight of weaned male Etawa Cross Goat. The technique of data analysis is using T-Test. The finding of study was that the t count = (0,11). Standard deviation of the goat on the plateau is and the standard deviation on the goat on lowland is. This means that there was not significant different weight of weaned male Etawa Cross goat which is live on plateau and on lowland.Key words: Etawa Cross Goat, Different Site, Animal Weight
