Abstract

In the current digital era, information technology plays a crucial role in various aspects of life, including education. One notable application is the digital-based new student registration system, designed to replace manual methods that are time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient. While digital systems aim to streamline the registration process, their success is heavily reliant on the quality of their User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX). Poor UI/UX design can lead to user confusion, frustration, and registration failure. This study evaluates the UI and UX of the new student registration system implemented by UPN Veteran Jawa Timur. Using usability testing and heuristic evaluation, the research identifies challenges in navigation and interface design that hinder user satisfaction. The findings offer actionable recommendations to improve system efficiency and user-friendliness. This study not only contributes to enhancing the registration process for UPN Veteran Jawa Timur but also serves as a reference for similar systems aiming to optimize their UI/UX design.

Abstract

The apple farming industry faces challenges in managing apple leaf diseases. Current manual detection methods have limitations in expertise variability, time required, potential delays in identification leading to disease spread, and difficulty distinguishing diseases with similar visual symptoms. This research aims to develop an accurate, efficient, and automated apple leaf disease classification system using a hybrid approach that combines EfficientNet V2 architecture and Vision Transformer. The main objectives are to improve disease detection accuracy, reduce computational requirements, facilitate more effective plant management, and support modern agricultural practices in the apple industry. This research uses a hybrid deep learning model that integrates EfficientNet V2 and Vision Transformer components. Experiments were conducted on an apple leaf disease dataset to evaluate model performance. Results show the effectiveness of this method in classifying apple leaf diseases, achieving 98.56% accuracy and an F1 score of 0.9856 on test data. The proposed model has 15.6 million parameters, lighter than the original EfficientNetV2S model with 20 million parameters. Training time was reduced to 6 minutes 32 seconds compared to the original EfficientNetV2S model that required 8 minutes 41 seconds for 5 epochs on the same dataset.

Abstract

Accurate and efficient digital archive management is a crucial component of Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE) in Indonesia. The Integrated Dynamic Archival Information System (SRIKANDI), widely used by government agencies, continues to face various challenges such as incomplete metadata, inconsistent classification, and difficulties in archive retrieval and retention scheduling. This study aims to optimize the SRIKANDI system by implementing machine learning algorithms XGBoost for document classification and One-Class SVM (OCSVM) for automatic anomaly detection in metadata. The methodology involves data preprocessing, feature selection, label generation, and the application of classification and anomaly detection models on archival data from the Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), Central Java. The XGBoost model achieved a classification accuracy of 77%, showing strong performance in identifying "Destructible" archives but limited ability in detecting the "Permanent" category due to data imbalance. Meanwhile, the OCSVM model successfully identified 16 anomalous entries (9.14%) out of 175 archives, with key indicators including extreme item counts and illogical retention periods. The results demonstrate that integrating machine learning into digital archival systems significantly improves classification accuracy, operational efficiency, and metadata integrity. Furthermore, this approach supports proactive auditing and validation of archival metadata. The findings offer valuable insights for developing AI-powered archival classification and anomaly detection systems to enhance accountability, transparency, and data governance in the public sector.

Abstract

This study analyzes the service quality and user acceptance of the Info BMKG application in Central Java, integrating the e-GovQual model and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Using a quantitative survey of 239 Info BMKG users, data was analyzed with PLS-SEM. Findings show the measurement model is highly reliable and valid. Seven of nine hypothesized relationships were statistically significant and positive. Specifically, Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) significantly influenced both Behavioral Intention to Use (BIU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU). Perceived Usefulness (PU) also significantly impacted Behavioral Intention to Use (BIU). Behavioral Intention to Use (BIU) significantly affected Actual System Use (ATU). For user satisfaction (SAT), Reliability (REL) and Citizen Support (SUP) had a significant positive influence. Actual System Use (ATU) also significantly influenced Satisfaction (SAT). However, the direct influence of Efficiency (EFF) and Trust (TRU) on Satisfaction (SAT) was not statistically significant. These results support the conceptual model and offer valuable insights for enhancing digital public services.. A similar phenomenon is seen in the impact of Trust (TRU) on Satisfaction (SAT), where the high p-value (0.804) and low t-statistic (0.248) indicate that this relationship is also not statistically significant.

Abstract

In the era of public information disclosure, public information management is essential for transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. This study assesses eight Public Information Management Officers (PPID) in Central Java, Indonesia, utilizing 21 variables measured by a Multi-Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) based on Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) and Socio-Technical Systems (STS). Data was collected using Likert-scale questionnaires, and performance was assessed using Evaluation Weight Value (EWV) and Total Evaluation Weight (TEW). The results suggest that technology-related indicators outperformed human competency and regulatory compliance. "Use" and "Disposal" were the DLM phases with the worst performance, demonstrating deficiencies in data accountability and infrastructure. In STS, the "People" dimension lagged, emphasizing the need for capacity building. The findings indicate that, while digital infrastructure is robust, governance and human resource development require strengthening. Strategic improvements in underperforming sectors are suggested to strengthen public information governance.
