In the era of globalization and rapid development of information technology, electronic commerce transactions or E-commerce have become an integral part of business activities throughout the world. The growth of E-commerce in Indonesia began in 1999 and continues to grow rapidly along with increasing internet use. However, along with this development, cyber security threats have also emerged, such as online fraud, theft of personal data, and cyber-attacks. This research outlines the strategic intelligence steps taken by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in dealing with security threats in electronic commerce transactions. Polri adopts a comprehensive approach involving planning, information gathering, data analysis, and policy making. They also collaborate with various related institutions and carry out educational campaigns to increase public understanding of the risks of cybercrime. This research then found that the National Police needed to strengthen cooperation with various parties, invest in advanced technology, monitor technological developments, and increase special investigation units. By taking these steps, the National Police can improve their ability to tackle cybercrime in electronic commerce transactions and create a more resilient digital security ecosystem.

This research examines the vulnerability of personal data in online loan transactions in Indonesia. Advances in financial technology have created a rapidly growing fintech industry, which includes online lending services. However, the use of personal data in these transactions carries serious potential risks related to the vulnerability of personal data. In this research, the author uses a descriptive qualitative approach by combining interviews and secondary data analysis from literature related to personal data protection in Indonesia. The research results show that personal data used in online loan transactions has a high attraction for irresponsible online loan managers. The vulnerability of personal data in online loan transactions is reflected in various threats, including cyber-attacks that can cause serious financial and reputational losses for individuals involved in these transactions. This will ultimately cause social and psychological costs for the victim. Stricter measures in protecting personal data and strengthening security policies in online loan applications are necessary to reduce the risk of these vulnerabilities. This research also identifies legal provisions governing personal data protection and underscores the need for awareness of privacy rights and data security in the fintech industry.

Social communication uses verbal and non-verbal language. We examined the degree of confidence and brain activity when verbal and facial expressions are incongruous. Fourteen healthy volunteers viewed photographs of 8 people with pleasant (smile) or unpleasant (disgust) expressions alone or combined with a verbal expression [positive/negative]. As an index of trust, subjects were asked to offer a donation when they were told that the person in the photo was in financial difficulty. Positive emotions and confidence were assessed using the visual analogue scale (VAS). Event-related potentials (ERPs) were obtained at 170–240 ms after viewing the photographs. Brain activity in incongruent conditions was localized using standardized low-resolution brain electromagnetic tomography (sLORETA). The VAS scores for the × positive smile condition were significantly higher than those for the other conditions (< 0.05). Gift giving was significantly lower for incongruence between verbal and facial expressions, particularly for the × negative smile condition. The EEG showed more activity in the parietal lobe with incongruent conditions than with congruent conditions. The incongruence [negative × smile] elicited the least positive emotion, confidence level, and supply quantity. Our results indicate that incongruent sensory information increases activity in the parietal lobe, which may be a basis for mentalizing.
