Abstract

The rate of development and economic growth of a region is inextricably linked to various activities that pose risks to environmental degradation, including forest destruction. This is concretely evidenced by the increasing cases of forest encroachment in the Jembrana Regency. Such encroachment is triggered by activities like “ngawen” and illegal logging, leading to environmental damage and loss of biodiversity. In this context, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) Ngurah Rai plays a role in supporting the development of social forestry programs in Yehembang Kangin Village, Mendoyo District, Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, to raise community awareness on the importance of forest conservation and empower the community members of the Banu Giri Lestari Forest Farmer Group sustainably. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach supported by purposive sampling data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that the social forestry development program in Yehembang Kangin Village has brought positive changes in the group’s behavior towards forest conservation. This program has produced local heroes and their successors, who are expected to become agents of change in the wise and responsible management of forests. Additionally, the group has initiated independent cultivation of timber and fruit trees by practicing the “tanem tuwuh” (plant to grow) pattern to support ecosystem sustainability and increase the diversity of flora and fauna within the forest.

Abstract

This research examines the practice of restorative justice in resolving child crime cases in Indonesia and its legal implications. The main focus is analyzing the existing legal framework and the effectiveness of implementing restorative justice in dealing with crimes involving children. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and analysis of legal documents. The research results show that restorative justice has a positive impact on the rehabilitation of child perpetrators and the recovery of victims. However, there are challenges in implementation, including a lack of understanding and training among law enforcement. This study found that existing regulations do not fully support restorative justice practices. Additionally, this research compares implementation in Indonesia with other countries, demonstrating the need for legal reform. The conclusion of this research is that there is great potential for restorative justice to be implemented more widely by improving regulations and increasing the capacity of law enforcement. This research contributes to the development of a more comprehensive and effective legal framework for handling child crimes in Indonesia.

Abstract

The adoption of sustainable road construction techniques is crucial for promoting community development and achieving long-term environmental benefits. This study explores various sustainable construction methods, such as the use of recycled materials, energy-efficient processes, and eco-friendly designs, and examines their impact on community development. Utilizing a literature review approach, the research synthesizes findings from existing studies on sustainable road projects and integrates qualitative insights from key stakeholders, including engineers, policymakers, and local residents. The findings reveal that sustainable road construction not only enhances environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and resource consumption but also supports socio-economic development by improving access to services, creating job opportunities, and fostering social cohesion. Furthermore, the study identifies key challenges in implementing these techniques, such as higher initial costs and the need for specialized knowledge and training. The results underscore the importance of integrated planning and community involvement in overcoming these barriers and maximizing the benefits of sustainable road construction. This paper provides practical recommendations for policymakers and practitioners aiming to incorporate sustainability principles into road infrastructure projects, ultimately contributing to resilient and thriving communities.

Abstract

Nanometer-scale drug development represents a new era in pharmaceutical technology, promising significant improvements in the efficacy and safety of treatments. Nanotechnology innovations in drug synthesis offer the potential to address existing global health challenges, including drug resistance and difficult-to-treat chronic diseases. However, the synthesis process at the nanometer scale faces significant obstacles, including biocompatibility issues, unclear regulations, and technical challenges in production. This research aims to explore and identify strategies to overcome these challenges, as well as assess the potential of nanotechnology innovation in the development of new drugs. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data sourced from relevant previous literature. The data collected is then processed to gain an in-depth understanding of the research subject. The conclusions of this study indicate that although the challenges in nanometer-scale drug synthesis are significant, the potential for nanotechnology innovation in pharmaceuticals is revolutionary. Effective strategies to overcome these challenges include the development of new synthesis methods, advances in characterization techniques, and close interdisciplinary collaboration. Policies and regulations that support innovation are urgently needed to facilitate the development and implementation of these new medicines. Finally, the future of nanometer-scale medicine depends on increasing access and desirability, taking into account ethics and safety in product development.

Abstract

This paper's subjects were the availability and viability of Sabang's halal sites and routes. We create a five-point framework for tourist stakeholders that explains how they can use their positions and teamwork benefits to manage destinations through regulation, conservation, and livelihood. We achieve this by referring to the underlying ideas and practices of sustainability as well as how stakeholder participation and involvement are included in the growth of sustainable tourism. The suggested pathways for halal tourism begin in Sabang, the city's center. The study employed qualitative techniques like field observations, focus groups, and interviews. Additionally, the geographical relationships between tourist attractions were identified, located, and plotted using GIS technology. The study's findings confirm Sabang's abundance of potential tourism resources for halal tourism development. Natural resources and Islamic heritage make up the majority of these resources. After the available tourism resources were identified, numerous potential halal tourism routes were suggested. Proposals for how tourism stakeholders can advance sustainable tourism will be included in the findings. As a result, determining a destination's tourism potential should begin with an inventory of its actual and potential tourism resources.

Abstract

In the digital era, intellectual property rights, particularly copyright, have gained significant importance as valuable assets. This study explores the utilization of copyright as a collateral for fiduciary guarantees, highlighting both the challenges and prospects in this evolving landscape. The research examines legal frameworks, regulatory developments, and judicial precedents pertinent to the use of copyright in fiduciary arrangements. Key challenges include the valuation of intangible assets, enforcement of fiduciary rights, and technological advancements that complicate copyright protection. Conversely, the prospects of leveraging copyright as fiduciary collateral are promising, offering new avenues for financing and investment. By analyzing these dynamics, the study provides insights into the potential for a more robust and adaptive legal infrastructure that accommodates the digital economy's needs. Recommendations for policymakers, legal practitioners, and stakeholders aim to enhance the practical application and legal certainty of using copyright as a fiduciary guarantee in Indonesia. This paper contributes to the broader discourse on intellectual property and financial innovation, addressing the intersection of law, technology, and commerce.
