Abstract

Rebozo technique is a birth technique from Latin America which is a non-invasive practice to reduce pain during labor and length of labor. This study aims to determine the effect of the rebozo technique on pain and duration of labor during the first stage of active phase at TPMB Susiani in Banyuwangi Regency in 2023. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a post test only with control group design approach. The research was conducted in December 2022-January 2023 with a sample size of 20 mothers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in each treatment group and control group. Data were collected using a record form which contained the respondents' characteristics and age, gestational age, pre-pregnancy body mass index, parity, education and employment. Research analysis used the Mann Whitney test and unpaired T-test. All respondents in this study have provided informed consent. The research results showed that there was no effect of the rebozo technique on reducing pain (p value=0.931) and length of labor during the first active phase (p value=0.083) for all respondents. This shows that the rebozo technique that has been given to mothers in labor cannot have a significant effect on reducing pain and length of labor during the first stage of active phase.

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in 2020 has increased partly due to pregnant women's non-compliance with ANC check-ups. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesia did not reach the target of 93.3 percent of ANC visits. This study aims to determine the relationship between compliance of pregnant women in conducting antenatal care (ANC) in the working area of the Wongsorejo Health Center with husband support. Retrospective design was used in this research methodology, using a purposive sampling, the total population was 139 people and the sample size was 58 respondents. Visit data from the MCH book from June to August at 2022 was used as a research instrument. Wilcoxon statistical test was used for data analysis to obtain data on differences between the two groups. The results showed that out of 58 respondents, or 32 people (55.2%), reported that they had strong husband support. Of these pregnant women, 27 people (46.6%) made compliant ANC visits. In the working area of Puskesmas Wongsorejo, there is a significant relationship between husband support and adherence to ANC visits, as indicated by a significance value of 0.025 obtained from the Wilcoxon statistical test. It is suggested that it can provide information and add insight into the importance of support and involvement of husbands to pregnant women in antenatal care (ANC) checks.

Abstract

Late sepsis in babies aged 7 days or more is caused by a lack of cleanliness in newborn care by the mother. Maternal knowledge regarding neonatal care skills still needs to be considered. This research uses an instrument that must be tested for validity and reliability based on Rasch modeling so that it can be seen which question numbers are too difficult and too easy to answer so that the instrument can be accepted in research. Validity and reliability tests can use the Rasch modeling application formula (Rasch model). The aim of this research is to validate and reliability research instruments regarding mothers' knowledge and attitudes in carrying out neonatal care. The design in this research uses quantitative analysis by adopting 3 research journals. This questionnaire was tested on 30 pregnant women at the Independent Practice of Midwife Ana Mariana. The research results showed that the questionnaire was valid and reliable, meaning it was said to be suitable for use by the general public. The results of the validity test value for row variance explained by size and raw unexplained variance (total) for knowledge and attitudes are between 40-60% with Good criteria. Meanwhile, the reliability test uses item reliability and Cronbach alpha in the good category. The results found that the questionnaire was valid and reliable, meaning it could be used as a research instrument in subsequent research.

Abstract

The problem of concurrent stunting and overweight (COS) in children has a low prevalence and is often overlooked. Children with COS are at increased risk for stunted growth and development and non-communicable diseases. Therefore, a preliminary review was conducted to identify the causes of COS in children under five years of age. A narrative review of the literature was conducted by searching the Scopus database using the keywords "concurrent stunting and overweight", "stunting and obesity", and "double burden of malnutrition", and 6 relevant articles were identified. Several important themes emerged from the literature review, namely maternal conditions during pregnancy and lactation, child feeding practices, completeness of immunization status, and household conditions and socio-demographics

Abstract

Early marriage is a marriage carried out by a couple under the age of 17 years. The prevalence of child marriage in 2019 in Indonesia was 10.35%. In East Java province it reached 3.6% and Situbondo Regency 2.4% in 2019. Meanwhile, data on child marriage at the Klampokan Community Health Center in 2019 was 1.5%. Health education regarding contraceptives for prospective brides and grooms is still lacking. This study aims to determine the effect of health education for prospective brides (catin) under 20 years of age on contraceptive decision making at the Klampokan Situbondo Community Health Center. This research is experimental research with a static group comparison design. The total sample was 44 respondents using total sampling which was divided into 2 groups of 22 people each. The intervention group was given health education using a decision-making aid sheet (ABPK) and the control group independently received information about family planning. The instruments used were flip sheets and observation sheets. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with SPSS. The research results showed that 31 respondents (70.5%) made the decision to get pregnant using contraception and 13 respondents (29.5%) made the decision not to get pregnant. There is an influence of health education for prospective brides and grooms (CATIN) under 20 years of age on contraceptive decision making at the Klampokan Situbondo Community Health Center (p 0.000 < 0.05). It is hoped that women who are under 20 years of age will end the pregnancy because at that age the reproductive organs are still not mature and ready.
