Abstract

The classroom environment plays a pivotal role in the academic performance and engagement of students, particularly in the realm of English language learning. This study explored the perceived influence of various classroom environmental factors on the academic performance of students in English language. Factors such as the physical environment, teacher-student interactions, peer interactions, teaching strategies, and assessment techniques were examined. A mixed-method approach, encompassing surveys and focus group discussions, were employed to gather perceptions from both students and teachers in a diverse urban secondary school. The findings suggest that a conducive physical environment, positive interpersonal relations, innovative teaching strategies, and fair assessment practices significantly impact students’ motivation and performance in English language. Recommendations for improving the classroom environment to foster better language acquisition and academic performance were made. This study contributes to the broader understanding of how the classroom environment shapes the learning experiences and academic outcomes of students in the context of English language education.

Abstract

This paper discussed the efficacy of the use of audiovisual facilities in the teaching and learning of English Phonology. In recent years, the integration of audiovisual facilities in classrooms has emerged as a potential catalyst for enhancing the learning experience, particularly in the realm of English Phonology. Through observing classrooms and gathering feedbacks from both educators and students, a clearer picture of the impact of audiovisual tools emerged. The ease of illustrating phonetic and phonological nuances with the help of visual and auditory stimuli was found to significantly elevate the learning curve. The interaction between visual aids, auditory tools, and traditional teaching methods creates a more engaging and interactive learning environment, which in turn, contributes to a more effective motivating and enjoyable learning experience. This exploration has not only shed light on the potential benefits of employing audiovisual facilities in the teaching and learning of English Phonology but also advocated for a broader acceptance and implementation of technology in educational settings to better cater for the diverse learning needs and preferences of today’s learners especially, in English Phonology. These include the compelling need to equip educators with the necessary training on how to effectively use AV facilities to teach English Phonology, enhance resource availability, overcome language interference as well as address technical issues. Others are to foster student engagement, assess effectiveness regularly, explore multimodal learning environments, among others.

Abstract

E-Filing is a service for sending or submitting Annual Tax Returns (SPT) electronically for individuals or entities (Companies or Organizations) to the Directorate General of Taxes via online and real time internet communication channels which are referred to as ASP (Application Service Provider or Service Provider Application). By utilizing this technology, Taxpayers (WP) no longer need to print all report forms and wait for receipts manually. Therefore, this research aims to determine the implementation of E-Filing in terms of the principle of legal certainty and its impact on society. This research uses a qualitative approach that is in accordance with the concept and scope of the problem. The data and information needed are taken from facts and events that have occurred. The results of the research are first, research shows that the use of E-Filing in SPT reporting in Indonesia has adequate legal certainty. This is because the mechanism and implementation have been regulated in the Decree of the Director General of Taxes. The E-Filing concept also provides significant benefits for Taxpayers, such as faster, more cost-effective and efficient reporting. Second, the impact felt by society. Taxpayers are happy with the E-Filing system design which is neat and easy to understand, so that it can increase tax compliance in submitting Annual Tax Returns. Thus, the use of E-Filing in SPT reporting is expected to improve tax compliance and improve tax performance in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the Family Hope (PKH) program in protecting the homeless in order to raise the level of the homeless economy from the perspective of the welfare state. PKH is a conditional cash direct funding program implemented by the Ministry of Social Affairs to improve public welfare, especially in the education and health sectors. The research method used is literature research, through the collection of information from various reliable sources related to PKH and the concept of the welfare state. The results of the analysis show that PKH can be considered as an approach to social protection of the homeless in the context of the welfare state. PKH aims to reduce poverty and improve quality of life through access to education. To improve the effectiveness of PKH, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between agencies such as the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and culture. The legal basis used is Law No. 11 of 2009 on social welfare, Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution after amendment, and Menkokesra decision, namely: No. 031/KEP/MENKO/-KESRA/IX/2007 in addition, good coordination between Related Agencies will help optimize available resources and minimize obstacles in the implementation of social welfare programs. In addition, it is also important to improve the monitoring system and periodic evaluation of the implementation of PKH, in order to ensure that the program is carried out, according to the desired goals and provide optimal benefits to the community.

Abstract

After the birth of Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning Job Creation which has added one article to Law Number 32 of 2002 concerning Broadcasting, it requires broadcasters to switch from analog technology to digital technology or Analogue switch-off (ASO) no later than two years from the law was passed. Considering that the deadline for the Broadcasting Institution's Analogue Switch Off (ASO) is November 2, 2022, this is a serious problem for the TVRI Public Broadcasting Institution, especially the Riau station, which is the leading sector for the national analog switch-off (ASO) program for all TV stations. This research aims to look at the implementation of regulations and obstacles in the process of implementing the LPP TVRI Riau Analogue Switch-Off (ASO) migration in welcoming the digitalization of Indonesian broadcasting. The research method was carried out qualitatively, namely in-depth interviews, observation and document review for the Implementation of LPP TVRI Riau Analog Switch Off (ASO) Migration in Facing the Digitalization of Indonesian Broadcasting. TVRI Riau prepares new human resources and regular training policies, regularly socializes government policies regarding the digitalization of broadcasting in the internal broadcast media line, and provides education to the public that ASO requires the public to have additional Set Top Box (STB) equipment. Abstract

Many students of Ivet University's mathematics education study program think that mathematics courses are very difficult and boring. This happens because students are positioned as listeners in the learning process so that what happens is that the learning process is too monotonous. So far, teaching and learning activities have only used books as a learning resource, an interactive approach will be able to make students more interested in the learning process. One interactive approach in the learning process is using geogebra-based interactive e-modules. The existence of geogebra-based interactive e-modules will further attract students in the learning process and improve students' digital literacy skills. The aim of this research is to produce a geogebra-based interactive e-module to improve students' valid digital literacy skills. The urgency of this research in learning is very important due to the low level of learning resources used in the learning process and the low level of digital literacy for students. The research that will be carried out will have a big impact on student understanding. It is hoped that the development of this interactive e-module will be able to overcome problems that arise in teaching students. It is hoped that limited learning resources can be overcome by having e-modules as a learning medium to prevent misunderstandings arising when teaching integral material. The result of this research is to produce a geogebra-based interactive e-module to improve students' valid digital literacy skills.

Abstract

This research aims to identify government involvement in community activities using legal instruments in the form of permits. However, the permit does not end at the approval stage. Once permission is given, supervision is required, so clear rules are needed regarding who must be supervised. The research method used is normative legal research with a conceptual approach, namely the study of legal concepts such as legal sources, legal functions and legal systems. This research method is used to find conflicting supervisory regulations in the forestry sector. Others, namely Law Number 41 of 1999 concerning Forestry, Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, and Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Government Areas which may have different legal interpretations. In order for legal products to be a means of achieving sustainable forest development, these products must be designed in accordance with the nature of the forest itself. In other words, sustainable forest development must be based on will, awareness and political decisions. Then this will have no effect. This does not only apply to the current generation, but also to future generations.
