Abstract

The background of this research is due to the low results of science learning on electrical circuit material. This is because there are no teaching aids for electrical circuit material and teachers are not yet innovative. Hence, they still use the lecture method so that students cannot understand science learning in electrical material. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VI students at SD IT Ar-Rahman Jati Agung regarding the material on the similarities and differences between series and parallel electrical circuits by utilizing PhET Colorado. The research subjects were 19 grade 6 students at SD IT Ar-Rahman. Data collection techniques use test techniques and observation sheets. The research results show that using PhET Colorado media can improve student learning outcomes. This is proven by using this media, student learning outcomes have improved. The percentage of students who reached the KKM in the pre-cycle was 42.1% to 73.7%. In the second cycle, the percentage of students' KKM achievement was 84.2% with an average score of 81. So here, PhET Colorado media can help improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects on human digestive organs by using the picture and picture learning model. This research is classroom action research with the research subjects being class V students of MI Tarbiyah Athfal II Kepundungan Banyuwangi consisting of 16 students. Classroom action research in this study consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection techniques used are observation and learning outcomes tests. Completeness criteria are achieved if classically   obtain a minimum score of 70. Data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The research results showed that in cycle I there was an increase in 9 students with a percentage of 56.25%, while in cycle II there was an increase in 13 students with a percentage of 81.25%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that applying the picture and picture learning model can improve student learning outcomes in science subjects on human digestive organs.

Abstract

The mangrove forest in Youtefa Bay, Jayapura, Indonesia, has a central role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and the lives of local communities. In general, it is known that the physical function of mangrove forests is as a wave absorber, coastal protector, fisheries habitat and neutralizer of water pollution. Mangrove areas, especially in Youtefa Bay, Jayapura City, have experienced a reduction in area of 278.12 Ha from 1967 to 2017 due to residential and infrastructure development. The Tonotwiyat or Women's Forest tradition, implemented by the Enggros and Tobati Indigenous Tribes, shows the important role of local communities in preserving mangrove forests. This system regulates the division of foraging areas between men and women, maintains natural balance, and ensures the sustainability of natural resources. The method used in compiling this article is the literature review method to dig up information from various sources, with a focus on cultural, social aspects, spiritual values and the positive impact of the Tonotwiyat tradition. This research uses secondary data in the form of books, encyclopedias and scientific journals which can be accessed on the Google Scholar page. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis. The results of this research describe the worrying condition of the Youtefa Bay mangrove forest, especially because it is affected by the transition to tourist areas and development. The Tonotwiyat tradition plays a key role in preserving mangrove forests. Even though the Youtefa Bay mangrove forest area is experiencing degradation, the awareness of indigenous peoples, especially indigenous women, who consider mangrove forests to have sacred value has encouraged them to rehabilitate and replant mangroves. The Tonotwiyat tradition not only protects indigenous women, but also maintains the sustainability of the surrounding ecosystem. A balance between local traditions and ecosystem conservation is the key to maintaining the sustainability of mangrove forests in Youtefa Bay.
