Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of the spread of the Covid-19 virus which resulted in all schools in Indonesia being closed during the pandemic and an online learning program was implemented. Online learning carried out at home makes most students feel bored and the demands obtained from schools such as assignments cause students to experience stress so that it will affect student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the relationship between mental health and student achievement at SMPN 36 Surabaya during online learning during the pandemic. This research is a type of quantitative research with a correlational approach. The variables contained in this study were mental health as the independent variable and academic achievement as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at SMPN 36 Surabaya with a population of 594 students and the sample in this study was 225 students who were taken using the Stratified Random Sampling Technique. The data collection technique uses a mental health scale (reliability = 0.752) and for academic achievement by taking data that is already available, namely the UAS raport card score for even semesters. The analysis technique used Pearson's product-moment correlation with the help of the SPSS 16 program. The results of the data analysis of this study showed that the correlation coefficient (rxy) was 0.374 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a positive relationship between mental health and academic achievement in students. SMPN 36 Surabaya during online learning during the pandemic. The effect of mental health on student academic achievement in this study was 14%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between emotional maturity and consumptive behavior among female students at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This study used a quantitative approach, with a population of 1,323 female students, with a sample of 250 female students. The sampling technique used is the probability sampling technique, the measuring tool used is the Likert scale, which is to measure the scale of emotional maturity and consumptive behavior and the reliability test results on the emotional maturity scale with a total of 27 items, the Cronbach Alpha is 0.785. thus, the emotional maturity scale can be stated as consistent or reliable because the Cronbach Alpha value obtained is greater than 0.60. While the results of the consumptive behavior scale with a total of 21 items, the Cronbach Alpha is 0.863. so, the consumptive behavior scale can be declared reliable because the Cronbach Alpha value obtained is greater than 0.60. the results of the Pearson Correlation value between emotional maturity and consumptive behavior -0.145 > 0.05, with sig. (2-tailed) 0.023 <0.05 which means there is a significant correlation between emotional maturity and consumptive behavior. The conclusion from this study is that there is a negative relationship between emotional maturity and consumptive behavior in female students at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. By using a measuring tool for emotional maturity and consumptive behavior with the help of SPSS ver. 16 for windows. This can be proven from the results of the analysis which shows a correlation coefficient of -0.145 with a significance of 0.023 <0.05. Thus, it can be explained that the higher the emotional maturity, the lower the consumptive behavior of female students at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The research was conducted because of the phenomenon of the readiness of school children to enter elementary school which was carried out by grade 1 children of public elementary schools in Trompoasri village. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between elementary school readiness and achievement motivation of public elementary school students in Trompoasri village, Sidoarjo. The hypothesis put forward is that there is a positive relationship between children's readiness to enter elementary school and achievement motivation in grade 1 elementary school students. The sample in this study amounted to 49 students. Sampling was carried out using accidental sampling technique. Data analysis used the product moment correlation technique from Pearson with the hellp of the SPSS 26.0 program. The results of the analysis of this study show a correlation coefficients of rxy = 0.334 (significance 0.019 <0.05), which means that the research hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a positive relationship between children's readiness to enter primary school and achievement motivation in grade 1 students at SDN Trompoasri Village. This means that the higher the child's readiness to enter elementary school, the higher the achievement motivation, and vice versa, the lower the child's readiness to enter elementary school, the lower the achievement motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of emotional regulation in working mothers who experience dual role conflict where there is a conflict between work outside the home and household work conflicts. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of emotional regulation by working mothers who experience dual role conflict and to determine the factors that influence emotional regulation of working mothers who experience dual role conflict. The researcher uses a qualitative approach by focusing on a phenomenon, where mothers experience a dual role conflict between working and being a housewife. The respondents of this study were 3 mothers who worked as employees and had also become housewives who had children and significant others or informants from each respondent amounted to one person. Data collection was done by structured interviews. The results showed that the three respondents could bring up aspects of emotional regulation including aspects of situation selection, situation modification, attention deployment, cognitive change and response modulation. While the factors in the regulation of emotions include gender, cognitive and social support.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and career decision making 12th grade students at Vocational high school YPM 8 Sidoarjo. This type of research uses quantitative with a correlational approach. The variable in this study is self-efficacy as the independent variable and career decision making as the dependent variable. The research was conducted at Vocational high school YPM 8 Sidoarjo with a total population of 382 students. The sample in this study were 242 students using the convenience sampling technique. The data collection technique uses a psychological scale, namely the self-efficacy scale and the career decision-making scale, both of which are in the form of a Likert scale. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and career decision making 12th grade students at Vocational high school YPM 8 Sidoarjo. Data analysis was carried out using the Product Moment correlation technique using the SPSS 25 for windows program. The results of data analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.300 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This indicates that the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and career decision making. The magnitude of the effect on this variable is 0.300 which is classified as moderate. The limitations of the problems studied in this study are limited to the problem of making career decisions in 12th grade students at Vocational high school YPM 8 Sidoarjo with self-efficacy as a factor to dig deeper information about career decision making.
