Abstract

Background: Childbirth is a physiological event in a woman's life. One of the most excruciating pains a mother has ever gone through is childbirth pain. The pain that mothers feel during labor is caused by pain signals that are sent as the uterine muscles contract, pushing the baby to the outside of the uterus. How to deal with labor pain can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological. One way of non-pharmacological management to reduce labor pain is sacral massage. Purpose: This EBCR aims to determine the effect of sacral massage on pain intensity in the first stage of labor. Method: The method used in writing the EBCR is by searching for evidence through databases from Pubmed and Google Scholar with the years published 2015-2021. Result: Giving sacral massage 6-8 times carried out by birth attendants for 20 minutes during the first stage of labor and it is proven that the mother feels more relaxed and comfortable and the pain is reduced after being given sacral massage therapy. Conclusion: Sacral massage is an effective way to reduce pain in the first stage of labor.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, diarrhea is one of the main health cases as a cause of death for infants and children. The death rate from diarrhea is increasing. This is because there are many risk factors for diarrhea around us. Moxibustion is a therapy that can be used to treat diarrhea by burning dry herbs near the skin. Purpose: This therapy aims to warm, strengthen, and stimulate blood flow, strengthen the kidneys, expel wind and cold and dissolve stagnation. Method: This study aims to determine the effect of the moxibustion technique on the cure of diarrhea in children using a literature review method approach. Result: The results of the study showed that the moxibustion technique was effective for treating diarrhea. This technique works by warming the acupuncture points which aims to dilate blood vessels so that blood circulation is smooth, this will provide optimal oxygen supply so that blood circulation is smoother, the body is healthy, and minimizes the occurrence of inflammation in the blood vessels, swelling, pain, and discomfort. uncomfortable. Conclusion: Moxibustion therapy was successfully applied to patients with a.n W who experienced acute diarrhea with an intensity of 3 times. This therapy can reduce the intensity of diarrhea.

Abstract

Background: Neonates experience a gradual transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life which is characterized by limitations based on the maturation of organ functions. Newborns are currently at high risk of a number of health problems, one of which is low birth weight. The kangaroo method, also known as attached baby care, is a strategy to reduce LBW mortality and morbidity. The kangaroo method is an early care method that mimics the kangaroo by touching the skin of mother and child. Purpose: The effect of the kangaroo method on weight gain in newborns with low birth weight is the focus of this study. Method: This journal search method uses keywords, Boolean Operators and E-data based with. This type of research is literature review and experiment. Results: Based on these results, it was found that there was an effect of the kangaroo method on weight gain in low birth weight babies. Conclusion: It is hoped that health workers will use the kangaroo method to overcome the problem of babies born with low birth weight gaining weight as an easy and cheap alternative that can be found by the community.

Abstract

Background: One of the natural processes that will be experienced by pregnant women is childbirth. This process will cause stretching and dilation of the cervix due to contractions of the uterine muscles to push the baby out. Pregnant women will feel pain or labor pain during the first active phase, because the uterus contracts more and more frequently to expel the products of conception. Therefore, most mothers experience pain during childbirth, but the intensity of pain that is felt will be different for each woman giving birth. This is often influenced by the mother's psychology during childbirth, namely fear and effort against labor and support from those closest to her during the birth process. Efforts that can be made to reduce labor pain can be pharmacological and non-pharmacological, such as warm water compresses. Purpose:  of this report is to find out whether warm water compresses can reduce labor pain in the first stage of labour. Method: evidance based cased report (EBCR) search for article uses the Pubmed and Google Schoolar databases. Intervention is carried out by applying warm water compresses to the mother for 20 minutes, repeated every 1 hour until complete dissection. Result: from the assessment of the mother's perceived pain using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) before and after the intervention showed a significant difference with the previous decrease in severe pain to moderate pain. Conclusion: Warm water compresses are effective in reducing labor pain in the first stage

Abstract

Background: Early initiation of breastfeeding is the ability of a baby to start breastfeeding on its own soon after birth. Hypothermy is one of the effects of IMD not done on newborns which can cause low infant temperature resulting in slowed metabolic and physiological processes. IMD was found to be a safe and effective method to prevent hypothermia in newborns which can be one of the nonpharmacological approaches as it is a cost effective intervention and easy to implement in any setting as it does not require additional facilities. Purpose: The application of evidence-based practice aims to determine the effect of IMD in preventing hypothermia in newborns. Method: This EBCR writing method is by searching for evidence through data based on Pubmed and Google Scholar with a publication year of 2017-2022 obtained 1 article for critical review. Results: The results of the application of IMD in this case showed that there was an increase in temperature after IMD was carried out, namely 36.2oC (pre) to 36.7oC after IMD. Conclusion: IMD is an effective method for the prevention of hypothermia in newborns.

Abstract

Childbirth can be done in two ways, namely normal or spontaneous delivery and assisted delivery (Section Caesarea). In the process of cesarean section, surgery is carried out in the form of an incision in the abdomen and uterus to remove the baby. Caesarean section delivery usually experiences excessive pain compared to normal delivery, therefore management of pain management is needed to overcome the problem of post-operative pain section by Caesarean section. Foot massage is a non-pharmacological treatment for postoperative abdominal pain, because there are many nerves connected to the internal organs in the foot area. The purpose of this evidence-based case study was to determine the effectiveness of foot massage therapy on pain intensity in postoperative cesarean section patients. This journal search method uses E-data based PubMed and Science Direct with the year of publication 2012-2022 which meets the inclusion and exclusion criteria through the Randomized Controlled Trial design. The results of this evidence-based case study found that there was a decrease in pain levels in post-cesarean section postoperative patients by providing foot massage therapy for 20 minutes. Thus, it can be concluded that giving foot massage therapy is effective in reducing pain intensity in postoperative cesarean section patients
