Abstract

Language as a means and a cultural product. Language activities cannot be separated from the activities of thinking with a specific cultural framework. The view point that human beings cannot think without language, strenghten the existence of language as a means of culture when thinking is seen as part of the spiritual culture. Humans as homo symbolicum 'the creature who use the symbol' whose scope is broader than homo sapiens 'thinking beings.' In the context of Indonesia—who shows diversity, the diversity in many aspects—the existence of Indonesian language in the diversity of language and local culture in Indonesia has become an important topic to be questioned. When associated with education in Indonesia, Indonesian language has a central role in the development of intellectual, social, and emotional of learners and the supporting success in all of fields of study, in addition to the role of regional languages which cannot be ignored.

Abstract

Indonesia has many cultures. One look through the diversity of Indonesian culture, which is one of the region is Maros, South Sulawesi. In addition, Indonesia is also renowned as one of the nation that has a high enough rank of complexity. Indonesian complexity appears in profile in Indonesian language. This article will look at the diversity of Indonesian based on ancient human migration patterns in the archipelago. In addition, it will also be reviewed on the role of the only language that has managed to unite the cultural diversity of ethnicity, and languages in Indonesia. The existence of a national language in Indonesia only because of the already established agreements among Indonesian people to their social ties. The agreement occurred cumulatively. Many factors affect the diversity of languages that exist in Indonesia. Among the factors that generate the linguistic diversity is a factor of two ancient human migration, the migration of Austronesian and Australo-Melanesian. Two current distribution of the prehistoric human remains influential in the formation of culture and language in the archipelago until now. All indigenous languages in Indonesia generated from two groups of ancient languages, the Austronesian language family and the Papuan languages family. Austronesian language family moved in the archipelago around 4,000 years ago. Meanwhile, Papuan language families move in the archipelago since 40,000 years ago. Thus it can be said that the diversity of language in contemporary Indonesia should be associated with the migration factor and several other factors. Other factors, among others, such as migration, the geography of the archipelago with many islands and mountains, and social factors and communication. Seeing these things, it can also noted that Indonesia has a very diverse languages. Unlike delivered Indonesia has only two varieties in language, namely formal and non-formal varieties. It would be flawed if it still considers Indonesian has only two varieties from the 250 speakers.

Abstract

The language system in this world has universality. It means, every language has some element in common. As in the case of the structure of the sentence or sentences diversity. Javanese language has a diversity sentence similar to other languages. There is imperative sentence or order sentence in Javanese language. This sentence is spoken by speakers in order to get a reaction or response from the opponent speaker. Responses are expected to both verbal and nonverbal. The data taken from the mass media such as magazine or newspaper that is written by Javanese language. In addition, the data is also collected verbally from informants and other data generated creativelly by the writer as native speaker of Javanese language. The results obtained are, there are five characteristics that mark imperative sentence in the Javanese language, namely (1) the written sentence marked with (!), (2) the oral sentence intonation pattern [2] 3 # or [2] 3 2 # , (3) ended by -en, -a, -ana, or -na on his P, (4) can be given a pointer word commands like "come", "sumonggo", "monggo", "try", and (5 ) intonation is the main characteristic of imperative sentences. The second conclusion is that there are several markers in the Javanese language imperative sentence that P ended by -en, -a, -ana, or -na and use markers in the form of pointer commands like "come", "sumonggo", "monggo", "try" . Abstract

Writing skills into a final charge of the most important master learners. Writing skills should be practiced and focused on higher education is to write scientific papers. In the meantime, until now there is no learning model appropriate to write scientific papers in order to improve the literacy skills of learners as may be necessary, especially in supporting their studies. Model of learning to write scientific papers should encourage learners to high literacy skills are supported by critical and creative thinking skills, and the ability to solve problems. The purpose of this study is (1) a description keterterapan level model of multiple intelligences oriented substantasi participation of students in the content and structure of the model design flexibility; and (2) description of the effectiveness model of multiple intelligences oriented learners participation resulting in an increase in learners' achievements in writing scientific papers. The criteria used as a basis to determine the validity of the instrument is to consider the value of lambda (λ) the provisions, if the lambda (λ)> 0.3 means the item number to be valid. The test is done in addition to the learning model is also equipped with a qualitative test quantitatively using equetion structural modeling (SEM) with Lisrel program. Effectiveness of the test design used was quasi experimental method (Quasi-Experimental design), the model Nonequivalent Control Group, carried out three times with t-test test. Analysis of the suitability test hypothetical models parmi model evaluation with field data based on the implementation of the test data, the results obtained following a) all seem to have the value of the variable load factor (λ)> 0.3; b) Chi-Square = 0.61, df = 1, ρ-value = 0.43 (> 0.05); c) RMSEA of 0.00 (<0.08); and d) GFI = 0.99 (> 0.90). The results of this analysis indicate the suitability parmi models with field data. In other words, the model is consistent with the data, so it can be used as a model of learning to write scientific papers in college. The average value of the critical-creative thinking skills in experiment 3 for the control group was 68.31, while the experimental group was 74.88. That is, treatment with parmi models affect the learning process. The results of the t test = 15,066> t table = 1.98. The difference in the average value was significant and proven to be effective in improving the ability of writing articles.
