Abstract

The research objective was to monitored the implementation of home guidance in improving student achievement in class VIII at State Junior High School 3 Tondano. This research was a counseling action research with four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were seven people who had low learning achievement. Data were collected by using two methods of observation and interviews. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis, data reduction, data display, and data collection. The results showed that the homeroom method could improve student achievement with two cycles of application time.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of counseling guidance teachers in increasing student motivation at State Junior High School 3 Tondano. This type of research is qualitative research. The main research instrument in this study was the researcher himself. There were two sources of data in this study, the first one was primary data sources, namely counseling teachers, and secondary data sources, namely vice-principals and students. The triangulation method was used to assure the validity of the data. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the role of counseling guidance teachers in increasing student motivation at State Junior High School 3 Tondano was not optimal. This is influenced by three factors, such as; BK teachers do tasks outside their main duties, facilities are not adequate and human resources are not sufficient.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of understanding of the FIP Unima undergraduate counseling (BK) students about the concept of education. This research was conducted using a descriptive method, by taking a sample of 44 students of BK, FIP Unima in their first semester (the academic year 2020/2021). Data were collected through interviews and tests. The descriptive analysis techniques were used. The results showed that the understanding of the concept of education for undergraduate students of BK FIP Unima was generally satisfactory. This can be seen from 79% of undergraduate students of BK FIP Unima were understand the concept of education and 21% of students didn’t. The results showed there was a misunderstanding of the Principles of Education and Designing future school models, especially in the concept of Lifelong Education and Curriculum Models for schools.

Abstract

Future planning needs to be implemented from an early age. Lack of career guidance leads to a lack of career information for students, which affects student career decisions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between career guidance and the accuracy of choosing a vocational school student major. This type of research was experimental. The study population was 80 Vocational High School students. From the results of the study, it was known that career guidance influenced the accuracy of choosing a vocational school student major. This was dominated by the finding that each student was able to choose a major according to their talents and interests.
