Kajian Hubungan Internasional adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Laboratorium Diplomasi, Jurusan Ilmu Hubungan Internasional, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Wahid Hasyim Semarang, tujuannya adalah menjadi ruang diskusi ilmiah ,tentang berbagai wacana keilmuan Hubungan internasional dalam bentuk penelitian mandiri dosen maupun penelitian bersama antara dosen dengan mahasiswa. Jurnal ini terbit setahun dua kali, pada Bulan April dan Oktober. Sebagai ruang atmoster akademik, maka jurnal ini terbuka bagi seluruh hasil penelitian mandiri dosen maupun penelitian bersama antar dosen dengan mahasiswa, diluar program Studi Hubungan Internasional Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Wahid Hasyim Semarang Semoga kehadiran jurnal ini mampu memperkaya cakrawala keilmuan Hubungan Internasional, baik secara internasional maupun nasional.

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine how the Japan Foundation's role in carrying out Japanese cultural diplomacy in Indonesia in 2015-2018. As a result of colonial events in the past, Japan wanted to change its negative image in the eyes of the Indonesian people, besides that they conducted cultural diplomacy as well as to achieve their national interests. Therefore to launch the diplomacy process they formed the Japan Foundation in Indonesia.                                                                                The research method used in this study is a qualitative method that is descriptive and analytical. This method seeks to describe the situation based on existing realities and is supported by theories and concepts that are used in order to be able to describe research precisely the nature, circumstances and symptoms, as well as supported by literature study, and online search. Theoretical foundation used is role theory. The results of this research indicate that the Japan Foundation has a significant role in fulfilling Japan's national interests. The role of the Japan Foundation as an Instrument for the Exchange of Art and Culture, as a Place for Japanese Language Education and Learning, as a Japanese Study Group and Intellectual Exchange creates an understanding between the people of Japan and the people of Indonesia so that it becomes an important factor in the development of diplomatic relations between Japan and Indonesia. So it can be concluded that the Japan Foundation is an important part of Japan's success in implementing the country's cultural diplomacy in Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims: To determine the concept of the principles of applicable Islamic law and International Humanitarian Law regarding war; To know the implementation of the principles of applicable Islamic law and International Humanitarian Law regarding War; The scope of this research is the principles of Islamic Law regarding the regulation of war in International Humanitarian Law regarding the involvement of children and women in war; The research method, using a normative juridical approach, is a law-oriented research method that regulates the principles of Islamic law regarding war in International Humanitarian Law. This means collecting primary and secondary data, and tertiary data based on the object of research. The data in question is processed descriptively. The results of the study found that: From a juridical point of view, the Islamic Law System and humanitarian law question the protection of the rights and obligations of the civilian population against the rules regarding how to resolve conflicts and the consequences of the conflict itself. Implementation of the Islamic law system and humanitarian law in regulating legal protection for humans due to armed conflict, namely the existence of fair treatment of fellow human beings as well as respect and protection in the sense that the humanitarian element must be prioritized, so as to prevent acts that excessive as contained in the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and its Additional Protocol to Islamic Law derived from the Qur'an and Al-Hadith. This is meant, broadly speaking, stipulating a prohibition on killing civilians who did not participate in the war, killing children, women and the prohibition of destroying cultural objects, places of worship and other places of benefit.]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses globalization and the technological revolution, which is increasingly developing technology and information. The mobilization of the world community is also growing and more complex. This is what triggers globalization to occur because trade and financial movements can become easier to do. The author wants to describe the objectives and reasons for the Financial Services Authority in collaboration with the Monethary Authority of Singapore in the field of financial technology. By using the theory of National Interest, which is defined as the ability of a country to protect its physical identity, political identity and cultural identity. National interest is both a tool and a goal to be used as a medium to achieve the national goals of a country. The level of analysis used is the domestic influence because it is related to activities that occur at the country level. The type of research in this paper is qualitative analytic with secondary data. The author also describes the background for the formation of cooperation, the dynamics in the continuity of cooperation and the condition of financial technology in Indonesia. At the end of the research, the reasons for the cooperation between OJK and MAS are explained, namely technological developments, strengthening economic foundations and information exchange.]]>

<![CDATA[This thesis departs from the Diplomatic Crisis between Saudi Arabia and Qatar in 2017. In relation to the diplomatic crisis, it was explained that Qatar issued a Policy in the Diplomatic Crisis, and refused to fulfill the 13 demands given by Saudi Arabia and its allies. However, the policy issued by Qatar is inseparable from the encouraging factors. For this reason, this Thesis Writing aims to find out the Factors that encourage Qatar's Policy in the Diplomatic Crisis in 2017. <![CDATA[Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. As one of the largest coffee producing countries in the world, of course Indonesia will improve and manage processed coffee, both in the form of production and market share. In connection with the increase in coffee lovers in the country of Sakura (Japan) and also bilateral relations that have existed for a very long time, Indonesia has made Japan a destination for Indonesian coffee exports, through a Non-Government Organization or non-governmental organization that oversees the coffee industry called the Association of Exporters and Industries. Indonesian Coffee (AEKI), farmers and entrepreneurs as well as Indonesian coffee industry players who are members of the AEKI membership want to encourage the Indonesian government to export coffee to Japan as an effort to improve the National Economy. The state economy will be strong if the individual economy is also strong, this is as stated by Andrew Moravcsik, the state exists as a forum for individuals who become community groups.]]>

<![CDATA[This article presents the international cooperation between Regional Police of West Kalimantan and Polis Diraja Malaysia Kontinjen Sarawak (PDRM) in eradicating transnational crime in the border region. The purpose of this research is to know the reason or the driving factor of Regional Police of West Kalimantan estabilished close cooperation on cross-border crime eradication (transnational crime). Researcher found that cooperation for the eradication of transnational crime effected by increasing cross-border crime in the region of West Kalimantan had threatened the safety and order of society. Descriptive-qualitative research methods are used through library research and interviews (indepth interview). From the results of the analysis using the theory of international cooperation K.J. Holsti there are internal factors and ekternal are (1) to enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies, (2) avoiding the transfer of the burden and responsibility, (3) meet the needs of the exchange of information and handling in konprehensif, (4) Recognizing that transnational crime is a form of shared security threats, (5) the issue of transnational crime has already threatened the safety and order of society, stability and security of the State, (6) combat entry of transnational crime by road area of the border. Through this partnership, Regional Police of West Kalimantan continue to increase prevention efforts and commitment to the eradication of transnational crime in the region of his authority.]]>

However, the Olympics are also a means of diplomacy and as an intermediary for dialogue and building harmonious relations between countries in the world. Through Sport Diplomacy, sport becomes an arena for creating peace. In 1971 sport was used as a tool to reduce conflict between China and America. In 1972 hockey diplomacy also succeeded in creating harmony between Canada and the Soviet Union, and in 2011 cricket diplomacy became a catalyst for improving geopolitical relations between Pakistan and India. <![CDATA[As an internationally traded and rapidly growing industry, tourism is one of the main categories in the economic sector. For Indonesia, tourism is one of the main sources of foreign exchange earnings and can create jobs and opportunities for further development. Southeast Asia has a lot of tourism potential, namely from tourist objects and attractions which are a form of interconnected activities and facilities. In this case the researcher uses the concept of Public Diplomacy (First track and Second track) as a reference to answer the problems in this study. The main objective in this study was to determine the level of success of Indonesian diplomacy in promoting Wonderful Indonesia in Southeast Asia and the strategy of the Indonesian government in comparing Wonderful Indonesia. The type of research used is qualitative research and the method used for data collection, in-depth information extraction related to the factors that influence the success of Indonesian diplomacy in promoting Wonderful Indonesia in Southeast Asia. The results of the study show that public diplomacy has a very significant influence on the success of Indonesian diplomacy in promoting Wonderful Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[International migration is one of the impacts of globalization which affects the phenomenon of sending Indonesian Migrant Workers. The amount of interest of the people who want to work abroad. It has a positive impact on the country, namely reducing the number of unemployed people, but from the other side it can also have negative impacts such as the risk of possible inhuman treatment of PMI. Thus, it is necessary to have a firm and pro-PMI protection policy. In this study, the authors used an explanative research method using a liberalism paradigm approach to determine the extent to which the role of negotiations could influence the regime so as to create policies that could change the mindset of better labor protection. This includes inclusiveness (internal) and exclusiveness (external) factors in making PMI protection policies in South Korea using the G to G program with the EPS system, where the government plays a direct role in the process of sending PMI without interfering with the private sector.]]>

<![CDATA[This thesis aims to discuss the importance of using Japanese pop culture in this case, Manga, Anime and Cosplay as part of Japanese public diplomacy in Indonesia. This discussion is divided into the MOFA (Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs) program and the Japan Foundation as one of the actors who also carry out public diplomacy. The research in this thesis uses qualitative research methods with descriptive elaboration through the description of programs implemented such as the International Manga Award, World Cosplay Summit or even the appointment of anime or manga characters as Ambassadors (ambassadors) such as Doraemon as Anime ambassadors, the appointment of Kawaii Ambassadors and also The Cool Japan program is a program carried out to export pop culture and other commodities and content from Japan. This is intended to increase understanding and trust in Japan both in terms of politics between Indonesia and Japan, the economy and even a strategy to increase Japan's domestic tourism. From a political point of view, it can be seen through diplomatic relations with Indonesia which have existed for 60 years, and from an economic point of view between the two countries through the policy of granting broadcasting rights and licenses as well as expansion of investment by Japan which is expected to improve domestic welfare in Japan. tourism, namely increasing tourist visits to Japanese tourism which is now starting to be polished with a touch of pop culture elements such as Tokyo One Piece Tower, a theme park with the theme of the One Piece anime. So it can be said that Japanese pop culture is important for Japanese public diplomacy as a way to increase public trust and understanding outside Japan in general and especially the public in Indonesia regarding the image of Japan and gain prosperity for the Japanese domestic public.]]>
