Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant effect by replacing the throttle body diameter variation on power and specific fuel consumption in a 149cc gasoline engine. This research uses the experimental design method. The results obtained the highest power data value of 10.2 HP achieved at 3500 rpm when using a 26mm throttle body, the highest power data value of 10.3 HP achieved at 5000 rpm when using a 28mm throttle body, the highest power data value of 11 HP achieved at 3500 rpm when using a 30mm throttle body. For the largest specific fuel consumption data value when using a 26mm throttle body of 0.0574785 kg/hp.h achieved at 5500 rpm, the largest specific fuel consumption data when using a 28mm throttle body of 0.05806907 kg/hp.h achieved at 5500 rpm, and the largest specific fuel consumption data when using a 30mm throttle body of 0.06013069 kg/hp.h achieved at 5500 rpm.

Abstract

Brown sugar is one of the natural sweeteners in the community. Where the sale of brown sugar has fluctuated due to the constant demand for brown sugar. Researchers aim to increase productivity and increase interest in brown sugar, so a new product is made, namely brown sugar with a ginger flavor. Therefore, the researchers made a ginger- flavoured brown sugar machine as a souvenir drink typical of the city of Kediri with a capacity of 150 liters/hour. the method used is a design method, which includes the planning stage, calculation, manufacture or assembly, and testing the machine. Which in this section explain more on the transmission system, which cover electric. In the results of the report above, it can be concluded that the planning for the number of scar teeth obtained a cylinder length of 90 mm and a cylinder diameter of 50 mm and the distance between the teeth of the scar 1 and the teeth of the scar 2 is 3 mm and the number of teeth planned for scarring is 840 teeth of the scar. The correction factor has a value of 0.186 kW. In machine testing, the comparison results obtained that 20 liters of brown sugar requires 1.134 kg of ginger and the grating process takes 13 minutes. Using an electric motor as a power source with a size of 1/4 HP, 220 volts, 200 watts and a speed of 2800 rpm. Abstract

The increase in vehiclesis directly proportional to the increase in fuel oil as a source of vehicle propulsion.The government's efforts are to support new and renewable energy fuels, one of which is bioethanolThe purpose of the study was to determine the effect of adding a mixture of soybean waste bioethanol and pertalite on emission tests and vehicle powertests.By mixing soybean waste bioethanol and pertalite. The ethanol is 92%. The percentage of bioethanol waste bioethanol (0,10,20,30%) and in vehicle engine rotation (3000-6000 rpm). This study concludes that the addition of bioethanol with RON 92 fuelaffects increasing power and decreasing levels of hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emission gases. obtained power of 4.09 Hp at 6000 rpm engine speed with a 10% bioethanol mixture. Obtained a decrease in Hydrocarbon content of 89 ppm at 5000 engine speedwith a 30% bioethanol mixture, and a decrease in carbon monoxide levels of 0.13% at 6000 engine speed with a 30% bioethanol mixture.

Abstract

Fuel is the main component in the combustion process in the vehicle's combustion chamber. To minimize the increasing use of fossil fuels, alternative fuels are needed to replace petroleum. Bioethanol can be used as an alternative fuel to replace petroleum.Spark plug is an important component that functions as an ignition process in the combustion chamber. Spark plugs provide sparks which will trigger combustion in the combustion chamber. This study aims to determine the effect of mixing bioethanol fuel on power and exhaust emissions by comparing the thermal conductivity of standard and iridium spark plugs. This research method uses experimental methods and data analysis. The independent variables in this study were octane 92, the thermal conductivity of standard and iridium spark plugs. The engine speed control variables start from 3000 RPM, 4000 RPM, 5000 RPM, 6000 RPM and the dependent variables in this study are power and exhaust emissions. The results of this study indicate that the use of 30% bioethanol produces a power of 7.93 hp at Rpm 6000 using iridium spark plug thermal conductivity and produces very good emissions as well.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of the power and torque produced by 125 cc motorcycles in 2014 using variations in roller mass and v-belt size. The study method used is experimental study method. The results of the study using v-belt variation 1 obtained the highest power and torque for the 8 gram roller at 9.93 HP, for the 10 gram roller at 9.16 HP, while for the 12 gram roller at 8.36 HP at 3500 rpm. The highest torque by the 8 gram roller reaches 24.05 N.m. The 10 gram roller reaches 27.67 N.m, while the 12 gram roller reaches 26.19 N.m at 1500 rpm. The highest power and torque using the v-belt variation 2 is produced by the 8 gram roller at 9.7 HP, for the 10 gram roller at 9.23 HP, while the 12 gram roller is at 9 HP, at 5500 rpm. The 8 gram roller's highest torque reaches 25.9 N.m. For a 10 gram roller it reaches 23.41 N.m, while a 12 gram roller reaches 24.31 N.m

Abstract

Energy is one of the needs in everyday life where the main need for energy still depends on fossil fuels, oil and gas. Fuel is one of the second most important needs after human needs for food, clothing and shelter. The method used is experimental with the aim of research to find the best mixture of pertalite and fuel produced by pyrolysis of plastic waste. The results of this test show that for the highest power and lowest emissions using pyrolysis fuel type PP plastic waste in a mixture of 10% plastic oil and 90% RON 90 produces 9.49 hp and CO emissions of 0.48% and HC 68 ppm

Abstract

Comfort in the vehicle is needed, therefore the vehicle is equipped with a suspension system.The problem with the current suspension system is that the suspension system cannot be used according to the wishes of the rider, because it does not yet have a flexibility regulator that can be adjusted directly while driving. The purpose of this study, will make a device for adjusting the flexibility of the shock absorber electrically, so that the driver can adjust the flexibility of the shock absorber when the vehicle is running without having to stop. The results of this study shock absorber with a passenger load of 90.5 kg produces the largest bending length of 5.17 cm at a hole area of 28.26 mm². For a passenger load of 141.5 kg, the greatest flexibility is 7.06 cm. with a hole area of 28.26mm²

Abstract

Common complaints from users of standard and modified automatic scooters often revolve around the lack of power responsiveness when used in urban settings and overtaking vehicles on rural roads.The study aims to investigate the influence of variations in pulley angle and roller weight on the power and torque output of a modified 110cc automatic transmission scooter, The experimental research method was employed, analyzing the engine's performance data through power and torque measurements. The results revealed significant differences in power and torque among the tested pulley angle and roller weight variations. The combination of a 13.5° pulley angle and 10g roller weight exhibited the best performance, achieving 9.75 HP at 7000 RPM for power and 9.93 Nm at 7000 RPM for torque. It can be concluded that utilizing a 13.5° pulley angle and 10g roller weight contributes favorably to power and torque output in the modified 110cc automatic scooter.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different diameter sizes and materials used in the manufacture of exhaust resonators on vehicle engines, especially in four-wheeled vehicles or gasoline-fueled cars. This research uses experimental research methods, namely by comparing the use of resonators made of galvanized steel and stainless steel with different diameter sizes of 100 mm and 125 mm, the research object used is a Suzuki Jimny LJ80V car with a 1000 cc engine. The data taken are the results of exhaust emissions testing and noise testing of galvanized steel resonators with diameters of 100 mm and 125 mm and stainless steel resonators with diameters of 100 and 125 mm. Based on the results of the noise test, the 125 mm galvanized steel resonator can reduce noise with a result of 94.5 dBA at 6000 rpm. In the exhaust gas emission test, the lowest HC exhaust gas is produced by stainless steel resonator at 198.3 ppm at 3500 rpm, the lowest exhaust gas by 100 mm galvanized steel resonator at 0.15% at 1000 rpm.

Abstract

Road safety is the right of all road users. However, the reality is that the high number of deaths is still caused by accidents while driving on the road. One of the contributing factors to these accidents is the lack of warning signs when the braking system malfunctions. This study aims to monitor the temperature during braking and provide an early warning safety system for motorcycle riders based on the ESP32 microcontroller and the MAX6675 thermocouple type-K temperature sensor module. The method in this study, employed a quantitative experimental approach by conducting experiments on three types of road terrains: flat road, gentle downhill road, and steep downhill road. Braking was performed at intervals of 30 meters, with a final braking distance of 300 meters. The findings of this study indicate that the distance and road conditions have an impact on the increase in brake pad temperature. The experiments showed a significant temperature increase at a braking distance of 300 meters, with values of 99.75°C on flat roads, 115.50°C on gentle downhill roads, and 129.00°C on steep downhill roads.
