Abstract

This article discusses the existence and framing of Meratus local religion in various media in the form of writings and videos, such as State regulations or documents, mass media news, research, and books that have searched and written down Meratus local religion. This article examines the problem above by focusing on two important questions. First, how is the representation and existence of religion before the media and the administration and politics of the State? Second, how is the struggle of the Dayak Meratus community to the process of marginalization in an effort to gain recognition from the State, especially after the decision of the Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi) in 2017? By exploring various opinions and visual images that are less sympathetic to the Meratus local religion which is spread in various media above, the position of Dayak Meratus local religion is still marginalized, making the Dayak Meratus still have to submit to parties in framing and constructing what they believe and embrace until now. This condition makes the local religion of Dayak Meratus increasingly eroded and always disappears before the State and official religion until now, since their religion is not compatible with the politics of order and development.

Abstract

This article examines the use of Big Data technology for the records and archives administration system in the contemporary era. Big Data can be defined as a collection of data that is extremely large and complex which cannot be dealt with the traditional data processing software. This technology makes it possible to store large amounts of data and can be accessed quickly. By implication, Big Data served sufficiently as a digital records and archives administration system. One of companies in the world that uses Big Data as a digital system is Google. Inc. This phenomenon is quite new in the contemporary era, hence it is quite interesting to see "how Google manages its records and archives administration system through Big Data". In line with the previous question, this article aims to find out how Google manages its records and archives administration system through Big Data. This article uses a qualitative research method through the literature review. The data used in this article is from the secondary data sourced from books and journal articles. One of the important findings in this article is that Google uses a distributed storage system to manage structured data called Bigtable. Bigtable makes the other Google services operate, so it can be stated that Bigtable is a fundamental system in Google. Although there are quite a few Google services which use Bigtable as the base, there are three main services that everyone use the most, namely Google Analytics, Google Earth, and Personalize Search. Through this Big Data technology, it can be seen that the archive management can use not only the conventional methods, but also the latest technology.

Abstract

Vital records program is a mandate of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43 of 2009 that state institutions and government agencies must implement, both central and regional, including ANRI. The purpose of organizing this vital records program is to protect, secure and save the very important records. Vital records program must be supported by establishing a vital records regulation in a form of a list as a reference for managing vital records. ANRI as a non-ministerial government institution has not established the regulation about vital records yet, so there are still many obstacles in implementing the vital records program. This research is a descriptive study. This study aims to determine vital records in the ANRI environment using the method of applying the Head of ANRI Regulation Number 6 of 2005. The determination of records criteria is based on that regulation and criteria from NARA, while the stages used are the stages listed in that regulation. Implementing this study concluded that 18 work units got 11 work units that had vital records, with 20 types of vital records.

Abstract

Archives have a broad role for organizations. That is why it needs to be published. Archive publication is an effort to reach the public. Virtual exhibitions is one of the outreach efforts that can be done during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze one of the archival outreach programs at the Gadjah Mada University Archives. Some things that are analyzed are the process of virtual exhibition activities, contents, and the factors that influence the visit to the official UGM Archives page. Through a case study approach, this study seeks to describe some things analyzed. The results showed that the virtual exhibition process was carried out systematically and continuously, content coverage is quite diverse, and the factors that influence a visit to the official UGM Archives page can be identified.

Abstract

This study discusses about using records in Rukun Tetangga (RT) or neighborhood organization. Three sub-main issues discussed about public perception of records, records management and using records for RT’s activities, neighborhood organization is a community customary institution under the sub-district or village. The act of Republic of Indonesia number 6 year 2014 concerning Villages states that the RT is in charge of assisting village governance and a partner in empowering village communities. This study uses a qualitative method because it is able to examine more deeply the subject matter and information. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The research focus was RT 18/RW 04, Desa Legok, Kecamatan Legok, Kabupaten Tangerang. The results show that the perception of the residents of RT 18/RW 04 about records is good, but it is followed by the lack of officer’s capability in managing records. It is also because of the lack of facilities and infrastructure, the capacity of human resources, and no standard in managing records. RT 18/RW 04 has valuable primary records as in administrative, financial, legal and can be used as secondary records. In the end, the application of records in RT 18/RW 04 are suitable for being a basis in decision making, public accountability, presenting the information about high-level government policies, and straighten up hoax.
