Arnawa is a biannual publication of the Javanese Language, Literature and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Gadjah Mada University, released in June and December each year. Abstract

This study is a philological study using material from the Merapi-Merbabu scriptorium entitled Kidung Subrata, coded L304 Peti 71 Roll 855/1. This manuscript is part of the collection of the National Library of Indonesia. Kidung Subrata was written on rontal leaf and uses Buda script. This text belongs to the Sisya Lelana genre, a literary narrative depicting a person's journey in learning various sciences in order to seek a perfect life. In previous research, the author found that the Kidung Subrata text contains concepts of Shivaism teachings. In that previous research, the author analyzed one of these teachings, named bayu-śabda-hiḍěp. For the current study, the author added two conceptual analyses: oṅkāra and bañcana. The method used was to use the transliteration of the diplomatic edition, then analyze these concepts through translation and search for comparative sources to facilitate the analysis. === Kajian ini merupakan kajian filologi menggunakan objek material naskah skriptorium Merapi-Merbabu yang berjudul Kidung Subrata dengan kode naskah L304 Peti 71 Rol 855/1. Naskah ini merupakan salah satu naskah koleksi Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia. Kidung Subrata ditulis menggunakan bahan material daun lontar atau rontal dan beraksara Buda. Teks ini memiliki genre Sisya Lelana atau cerita sastra yang berisikan perjalanan suatu tokoh dalam mempelajari berbagai ilmu pengetahuan dalam rangka mencari kesempurnaan hidup. Dalam penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan oleh penulis, teks Kidung Subrata berisikan konsep-konsep pengajaran Sivaisme. Dipenelitian sebelumnya, penulis menganalisis satu konsep pengajaran tersebut, yaitu bayu-śabda-hiḍěp. Untuk kajian saat ini, penulis menambahkan dua analiss konsep, yaitu konsep oṅkāra dan bañcana. Metode yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan hasil transliterasi edisi diplomatik dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis konsep-konsep tersebut dengan cara mengalihbahasakan dan mencari sumber pembanding untuk mempermudah analisis.
