Abstract

Parenting patterns on children's behavior reflect the influence that the role of parents has in shaping the child's character. some children will respond positively to the parenting patterns that have been implemented by their parents, but some find it difficult to respond well to their parents' parenting patterns. This research aims to describe the social behavior of children aged 5-6 years in Argosuko Poncokusumo Village, Malang Regency. The research was conducted on early childhood children who attended the Sekolah Pertama Dharma Wanita 1 Argosuko Poncokusumo Kindergarten. There are three main sub-focuses discussed in this research, namely, first, parenting patterns, second, children's social behavior, and third, the characteristics of early childhood social development. This research uses a combination of qualitative approaches through direct observation during three meetings and a literature review as the theoretical basis for the research. The results of this observational research show that parents' parenting styles have a positive effect on their social development. However, some children need additional encouragement.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of socialization of parenting patterns in the formation of children's character in Ngadirejo Village, Jabung District, Malang Regency. This study aims to improve parents' understanding of appropriate parenting patterns and their impact on children's character development. The methods used in this socialization include lectures and discussions involving parents of students at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten. The results of the activity showed that community enthusiasm was very high, with many parents actively participating in the question and answer session and discussing the material presented. This activity succeeded in raising awareness of the importance of positive parenting patterns, which can support children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development. With this socialization, it is hoped that parents can apply good parenting principles, so that children can grow into individuals with character and are able to adapt well in society.

Abstract

Oral cancer is one of the preventable non-communicable diseases through education and early detection. Public awareness regarding the dangers of oral cancer and other oral diseases remains low, especially in the working area of the UPT Bajo Barat Community Health Center. This community service activity aimed to increase public knowledge about risk factors, early signs of oral cancer, proper oral hygiene techniques, and the importance of routine dental check-ups. The methods included interactive health education, practical toothbrushing demonstrations, and oral health screening. The education session was held on July 12, 2025, with 10 participants, followed by oral screenings and hygiene practices on July 14–18, 2025. Participants also received toothbrushes and toothpaste as incentives. The results showed that all participants understood the material and were highly enthusiastic about participating in the screening process. This activity had a positive impact on improving health literacy, strengthening the role of the community health center as a hub for health promotion, and served as a practical implementation of the university’s community service commitment. It is hoped that this program can be continued and expanded to reach broader community groups in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of religious leaders in building religious harmony in Kesamben Village. Kesamben Village was chosen as a case study because it is representative of a multi-religious community. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the research indicate that religious leaders play a key role in creating and maintaining religious harmony in Kesamben Village. They serve not only as religious figures but also as mediators, educators, and social cohesion agents within the community. Religious leaders help understand religious differences, promote tolerance, and facilitate interfaith dialogue. Therefore, this research contributes to the understanding of the vital role of religious leaders in the context of religious harmony.
