Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya penerapan Kaizen 5S pada operator produksi di PT Industri Mesin Laundry Indonesia, yang ditunjukkan oleh penataan alat dan material yang belum rapi, kebersihan area kerja yang belum konsisten, serta kedisiplinan pekerja yang belum merata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kenyamanan psikologis dan tingkat kelelahan kerja terhadap penerapan Kaizen 5S. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 6 operator produksi dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kenyamanan psikologis dan tingkat kelelahan kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penerapan Kaizen 5S. Secara parsial, kenyamanan psikologis berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan, sedangkan kelelahan kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan. Kata Kunci: Kaizen 5S, kelelahan kerja, kenyamanan psikologis, operator produksi.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a crucial aspect of reading, because by understanding a text, we essentially grasp the information contained within it. The main issue addressed in this study is the low reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at Nursyamsiani Private Islamic Elementary School. This study was conducted to determine students’ reading comprehension skills before and after instruction using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model and to measure the percentage (%) of its impact on students’ reading comprehension skills. The method used in this study was quantitative, specifically a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research process involved administering a pre-test and a post-test, where the first measurement (pre-test) was conducted to assess the students’ initial condition before the second measurement (post-test), which was administered after instruction using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. The results of this study indicate a highly significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension skills. This is evident from the students’ scores before and after instruction using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model, where the average score prior to the CIRC model was only 68.86%. Furthermore, after instruction using the CIRC model, students’ reading comprehension skills improved, with an average score of 79.09%. Based on the above research results, it can be concluded that students’ reading comprehension skills have improved.

Abstract

The current phenomenon of global migration has become a complex social reality with a significant increase in the number of international migrants, reaching 281 million people in 2022. Beyond these figures, migrants often face various humanitarian issues, ranging from human rights violations and discriminatory treatment to state-sponsored anti-immigrant policies. This paper aims to examine the ethics of global migration through a critical review of human dignity from the perspectives of Catholic Social Teaching (CST) and International Law. The method used is descriptive-qualitative with an interdisciplinary approach that combines theological-biblical analysis, a juridical review of international law, and economic sociology. The theological foundation of migration rests on the unity of the human family, as all are created in the image and likeness of God. Consequently, every individual possesses a unique dignity that transcends racial and cultural boundaries. This universal brotherhood mandates that everyone accept and love others without exception, including migrants. Discussion results indicate the importance of integrating legal and moral orders in handling migration. Morally, migrants must be accepted because acceptance is a rightful value, while legally, the aspect of legality remains necessary to ensure protection and legal certainty. The diplomacy of the Holy See and the roles of international organizations such as the IOM are emphasized as means to defend human dignity and encourage international cooperation. Furthermore, migration is viewed as an instrument of economic development that can aid in poverty alleviation and the fulfillment of foreign debt obligations through remittances. As a practical solution, bureaucratic reform is required through a one-roof service system and the involvement of local informal institutions to ensure the migration process operates fairly, safely, and with dignity for all parties.
