Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to develop a strategy for prioritizing information technology (IT) development projects that align with the operational objectives and resource limitations of Bank BRI. Methodology/approach – The research adopts a mixed-methods approach. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is employed to determine the priority weight of each IT project based on five key criteria: customer acquisition, service quality, regulatory compliance, product innovation, and operational efficiency. Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) are conducted with key stakeholders to validate findings and identify implementation barriers. Root cause analysis using Why-Why and Fishbone Diagrams is performed to uncover underlying issues in project delays and prioritization gaps. Findings – It was found that projects contributing to increased transactions and customer base receive the highest priority. However, FGD findings reveal that implementation often diverges from analytical priority due to resource constraints, unclear scope, and lack of filtering mechanisms. A set of strategies is proposed to improve project filtering, resource allocation, and inter-unit coordination. Novelty/value – This research introduces an integrated prioritization framework combining AHP with stakeholder validation and root cause analysis, offering a practical approach to IT project governance in banking institutions. The model enhances decision-making beyond weight-based ranking by incorporating real-world constraints and institutional readiness.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to evaluate the application of quantitative-based inventory control methods for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at PT XYZ, a mechanical-electrical contracting company, to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 8, and 12. Methodology/approach – Using a descriptive quantitative case study, secondary data from 2024 were analyzed with Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Periodic Order Quantity (POQ), Min-Max, and Lot-for-Lot (LFL) methods, supported by Reorder Point (ROP) and Safety Stock calculations. Class A PPE items identified through ABC analysis were selected as the research sample. Findings – EOQ consistently yielded the lowest total inventory cost compared to other methods, reducing costs significantly versus current practices. ROP and Safety Stock planning effectively mitigated demand fluctuations and supplier lead-time risks, ensuring continuous PPE availability. Novelty/value – The research integrates multiple quantitative inventory control models in a PPE management context, linking operational efficiency to sustainability outcomes. Findings provide practical recommendations for construction project logistics while aligning with SDG targets.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to identify and analyze optimal strategies that can be implemented by PT. XYZ to improve Islamic economic and financial literacy through a system dynamics modeling approach. Methodology/approach – A case study approach was applied to PT. XYZ (Sharia Business Unit) using a mixed-method qualitative and quantitative design. Primary data were obtained through surveys and in-depth interviews, while secondary data came from official reports and the national sharia literacy strategy document. The system dynamics model was developed using Vensim software. Findings – There is a 30.5% literacy gap between employees and customers. Simulation results indicate that simultaneous interventions involving employee training, digital information access, and National Sharia Board (DSN) socialization can increase employee literacy to approximately 70% and customer literacy to approximately 50% within five years. Novelty/value – This research integrates a system dynamics approach to formulate Islamic financial literacy strategies, which is still rarely applied in Indonesia's Islamic financial ecosystem.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose – This study develops and validates a multi-criteria decision-making framework based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to support objective and transparent selection of office facility vendors. The framework aims to enhance procurement accountability and align vendor choice with organizational competency and compliance requirements. Methodology/approach – A quantitative, descriptive-analytic approach was applied using a case study at PT. XYZ. Expert judgments were elicited from procurement and facility management professionals to construct pairwise comparison matrices across predefined criteria (experience, certification, business licensing, and professional association membership). Individual judgments were aggregated using the geometric mean method, criterion weights were derived from the principal eigenvector, and consistency of judgments was assessed via Saaty’s consistency ratio. Sensitivity checks were performed to evaluate ranking robustness. Findings – It Results show that vendor experience carries the greatest relative weight, followed by certification, business licensing, and association membership. All pairwise comparison matrices satisfied the consistency threshold (CR < 0.10). The AHP framework produced a clear, reproducible vendor ranking and reduced reliance on ad-hoc or subjective decision criteria. Novelty/value – The paper contributes a validated, practical AHP model tailored for office facility procurement, addressing a documented gap in structured vendor assessment within the Indonesian corporate context. The framework is readily adaptable for organizations operating under high compliance and safety demands.

Abstract

Purpose – Cambodia's liberal investment policies and economic growth have led to an increase in foreign-owned enterprises (FOEs), which often incorporate family-owned local partners. Market conditions, firm resources, and successor skills influence marketing performance in these hybrid business arrangements. This study investigates the relationship between family-owned successor skills and marketing performance in Cambodian FOEs, identifying critical successor competencies for success and offering managerial implications. Methodology/Approach – The study employed purposive sampling to gather information from foreigners with family businesses in Phnom Penh, Ta Khmau, and Sihanoukville, Cambodia. With 420 questionnaires distributed, 328 returned, and 38 rejected, 290 respondents provided valid data, aligning with Bowerman et al.'s formula for quantitative research and structural equation modelling (SEM). Findings – The study reveals that experiential knowledge and environmental sustainability intention significantly predict business alignment, positively influencing marketing performance and successor skills. The model supports hypotheses and offers valuable insights for strategic and succession planning, despite the rejection of the hypothesis about the family business mindset. Novelty/value – The study explores the impact of family-owned successor skills on marketing performance in foreign-owned businesses in Cambodia, using succession theory, marketing capability frameworks, resource-based view, knowledge-based View, stewardship theory, strategic fit theory, dynamic capabilities theory, and experiential learning theory to explain the research hypothesis development as proposed in Figure 1.
