Abstract

This study examined the effect of blended learning strategies on English language proficiency among secondary school students in Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State. The research aimed to determine the influence of blended learning on overall English proficiency, its impact on specific language skills reading, writing, speaking, and listening and the differences between students taught using blended learning strategies and those exposed to traditional teaching methods. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, and a sample of 357 students was selected using stratified random sampling to ensure representativeness across schools. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and a standardized English language proficiency test, validated by experts and pilot-tested for reliability. Descriptive statistics and inferential analyses, including one-sample and independent samples t-tests, were employed to test the hypotheses at a 0.05 significance level. The findings revealed that blended learning strategies significantly improved students’ overall English language proficiency and enhanced performance across all four language skills. Furthermore, students exposed to blended learning outperformed their counterparts taught through traditional methods. The study concludes that blended learning is an effective instructional approach for enhancing English language proficiency in secondary schools. Recommendations include integrating blended learning into the curriculum, providing ICT resources, and training teachers to implement blended strategies effectively.

Abstract

Climate change and resource constraints encourage companies to adopt green strategies to improve sustainability performance. This study uses the PRISMA protocol-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze the influence of green financing, green innovation, and green human resource management (GHRM) on sustainability performance, with top management support as a moderating variable. Of the initial 100 articles (2021–2025) in databases such as Scopus and the Web of Science, 25 selected articles were thematically analyzed. The results show that the three green variables have a positive effect on sustainability performance through environmentally friendly project funding, efficient innovation, and sustainable work culture. Top management support strengthens this relationship by providing strategic resources and commitment. The research identifies gaps such as lack of integration of variables and implementation challenges, as well as recommends integrated strategies for practice and future literature development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Indonesian language writing errors in chemistry practicum reports of PSKM 24 A students at Universitas Negeri Medan. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with documentation as the data collection technique. The data sources were obtained from students’ practicum reports which were analyzed based on the guidelines of Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI). The results showed that there were still various Indonesian language writing errors in students’ practicum reports, including errors in the use of capital letters, punctuation marks, standard words, prepositions, scientific terms, citations, and effective sentences. The most dominant errors found were punctuation and ineffective sentence usage. These errors were caused by students’ lack of understanding of Indonesian language rules and scientific writing, as well as lack of accuracy in preparing practicum reports. This study is expected to serve as an evaluation material for students in improving scientific writing skills and as a reference in teaching scientific writing at universities.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped how organizations formulate and execute strategy, creating the need to systematically map the development of contemporary strategic management research. This study aims to identify major trends, analyze existing research gaps, and propose a future research agenda in strategic management during 2020–2025, focusing on the integration of digital technology and organizational strategic frameworks. The method applied is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using an input–process–output framework, guided by the PRISMA protocol for identification, screening, and data extraction, complemented by manual thematic analysis to categorize the literature, identify conceptual relationships, and map research gaps from articles sourced from the Scopus and SINTA databases. The findings indicate that the Resource-Based View and Dynamic Capabilities Theory remain the dominant theoretical foundations for explaining competitive advantage in the digital era, while emerging themes include Digital Business Strategy, IT-business alignment, the use of artificial intelligence in strategic decision-making, organizational agility, and the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The study also identifies a gap in research integrating these four perspectives—RBV, Dynamic Capabilities, DBS, and sustainability—within a single comprehensive conceptual framework. These findings contribute theoretically to a more holistic digital strategic management model and serve as a practical reference for organizations designing adaptive, sustainable strategies amid technological disruption.

Abstract

The development of educational research has increased the demand for methodological approaches capable of integrating quantitative and qualitative data to provide a more comprehensive understanding of educational phenomena. This article aims to analyze the concept of mixed methods designs, including their characteristics, objectives, design types, implementation procedures, strengths, limitations, and applications in educational research. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review by examining relevant books, scientific journal articles, and previous research. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis, which involved data reduction, thematic classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that mixed methods designs represent a systematic research strategy that integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches to produce more valid, in-depth, and comprehensive research findings. Various designs, including Sequential Explanatory, Sequential Exploratory, Concurrent Triangulation, Embedded, Transformative, and Multiphase designs, possess distinct characteristics and functions that can be selected according to the objectives of a study. In educational research, the application of mixed methods designs enhances the analysis of learning processes, program evaluation, curriculum development, and evidence-based decision-making. Therefore, this approach serves as an effective methodological alternative for addressing the complexity of contemporary educational issues while strengthening the validity and depth of research findings.

Abstract

Ethnography is a qualitative research approach used to understand culture and social reality from the participants' perspectives. This article aims to examine the role of ethnography in understanding and interpreting social reality through culture. The method employed is library research by reviewing relevant literature on ethnography. The findings indicate that ethnography enables researchers to gain an in-depth and contextual understanding of social phenomena through observation, interviews, and cultural analysis. Therefore, ethnography is a relevant approach for revealing meanings embedded in social and cultural life.
