Abstract

The welfare of the community is the primary goal in the economic development of a region, and this can be achieved through rapid economic growth and equitable income distribution. In reality, East Java Province has not yet achieved equal prosperity, as evidenced by an increasing trend of inequality that has not reached its lowest point during the period of this research. Therefore, there is a need to accelerate the reduction of inequality by understanding the various factors influencing inequality in East Java. Through a simultaneous model using the three-stage least square (3SLS) method, this study attempts to estimate the impact of Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) per capita and the health index on income inequality. It also analyzes the factors influencing the growth of PDRB per capita in East Java. The data used for this research is sourced from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) for the years 2011-2021.The research findings indicate that the growth of PDRB per capita and the health index significantly and positively affect income inequality. The factors influencing the growth of PDRB per capita in East Java include the education index and capital accumulation. Based on these results, the government and relevant stakeholders need to promote a more even distribution across sectors in each region of East Java Province and strengthen health aspects for groups with low incomes.

Abstract

The increasing use of non-cash payment instruments in Indonesia, such as Card Payment Instrument (APMK) and electronic money, shows public awareness and confidence in switching from cash. This has an impact on the money multiplier. The money multiplier plays an important role in the formation of money supply and monetary control. The stability of the money multiplier can provide greater opportunities for Bank Indonesia to implement policies effectively in influencing the supply of money in circulation so the ultimate goal of monetary aggregates can be achieved and a conducive atmosphere for the economy is created. This research aims to determine the influence of ATM+Debit card, credit card and electronic money variables on the money multiplier in Indonesia. In connection with this, the author uses the Error Correction Model (ECM) as an analysis method in this research. The research results show that the Card Payment Instrument (APMK) variable through the nominal transactions of ATM+Debit card and credit card and the nominal transactions of electronic money have significant positive effect on the value of the money multiplier in Indonesia in both the short and long term. It means when the nominal variable for ATM+Debit card, credit card, and electronic money transactions increases, the value of the money multiplier will also increase and vice versa. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contribution of the rubber commodity sector to the economic growth of Banyuasin Regency from 2016 to 2021, along with the specialization level of this sector. The study employs a quantitative research method designed to illustrate correlations with appropriate reliability and priority levels. Analytical methods utilized include Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift-share (SS). Secondary data for the research are sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Banyuasin Regency and South Sumatra Province. The findings reveal that, among the 21 sub-districts in Banyuasin Regency, a majority exhibit rubber plantation as their primary sub-sector, evident from the average LQ calculations. The LQ and Shift-share results, where LQ>1 and PPW>0, indicate that 10 sub-districts serve as the base sectors for the rubber commodity, positively impacting the economy of Banyuasin Regency. Moreover, six sub-districts with LQ>1 and PPW<0 show that high production values and rubber plantation mobility contribute negatively due to less effective supporting mobility, thereby preventing high yields from translating into positive economic values for Banyuasin Regency. Additionally, five sub-districts with LQ<1 signify that rubber plantations have not yet emerged as leading sectors in these areas.

Abstract

Technological developments are changing society's paradigm from conventional traditions to the digital era, making it possible to fulfill daily needs via smartphone devices. E-Wallet, as a form of digital wallet, is an important phenomenon that is influenced by companies in improving the quality of their applications. Payments with electronic money bring efficiency and a modern lifestyle, the impact of which can be seen in more impulsive consumer behavior. This research aims to explore the deeper impact of using E-Wallets on consumer behavior in the context of ease of transactions, and the extent to which this convenience can change shopping patterns into consumer behavior among the people of East Java who use E-wallets. The research method used is a quantitative approach with surveys (distributing questionnaires), and using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results of this research imply that the ease of use of E-Wallet not only provides transaction efficiency but also economic potential for consumers in East Java. Price and habit factors influence consumer behavior more than E-Wallet performance expectations. Therefore, these findings provide valuable guidance for E-Wallet service providers to design appropriate and effective strategies in the East Java market.

Abstract

Before engaging in stock market transactions, investors evaluate companies that release their shares on the Stock Exchange. This evaluation covers several factors, such as the company's ability to generate profits, the level of returns, and risks. Investors participate in the stock market with the expectation of receiving rewards or income from their investments.
