Abstract

System Integration is an activity that combines two or more efforts with the aim of increasing profits. The application of the Crop Livestock System is an effort to combine corn and cattle crops in the farmer's farming system. The purpose of the study was to determine the perception of members towards the role of farmer groups (as learning classes, production units and cooperation vehicles) in the application of the integration system, to find out members' perceptions of the implementation of  institutional aspects and the objectives of  farming groups. There were 17 respondents who were members of the Prima Jaya farming group. The research was conducted in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City, October 2018 to April 2019.  The research method is a survey with a sampling technique carried out by purposive sampling. The data analysis techniques used are validity tests, reliability tests using SPSS 17.0, descriptive analysis and likert scales. The results showed: Members' perceptions in general of the role of farming groups in the implementation of the integration system are in the good category, farmers' perceptions of institutional aspects are in the excellent category, the goals of farmer groups are in the good category, which shows that  better farming, better business and better living have been achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of marketing channels, marketing margins, costs, profits, efficiency and farmer share in each marketing channel. This research was conducted in District V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency. Taking as many as 30 farmer respondents, four regional traders, six inter-regional traders and 11 retailers. The results showed that there are four marketing channels, the largest total marketing margin of all existing marketing channels is in marketing channel II, which is Rp. 4200/grain for grade A coconut and Rp. 2800/grain for grade B coconut. The largest total marketing cost is in marketing channel II, which is Rp. 1183.32/item. The biggest total marketing profit is in marketing channel I, which is Rp. 4923.8/grain for grade A coconut and Rp. 2923.8/grain for Grade B coconut. The most efficient marketing channel is marketing channel III with an efficiency value of 17,9% for grade A coconut and 25.58% for grade B coconut. The highest farmer share value is in Channel III, which is 37.6%/grain for grade A coconut. While the highest farmer share value is for grade B coconut, which is 40%/grain. items contained in the IV marketing channel.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the profile of oil palm sticks agroindustry, describe the profile of women crafts in the oil palm sticks industry, find out the time allocation, and the contribution of women palm oil stick craftsmen, and analyze the contribution of women's income from the sticks agroindustry business households in Tualang Timur village, Tualang district Siak regency. The research method used is the census method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Informants in this study were all members of the women's group of oil palm stick craft in Tualang Timur village Tualang district Siak regency. The results of this research indicate that the largest time allocation for women is on productive activities of 42 hours per week and the smallest time allocation for social activities is 0.85 hours per week. The average acceptance of women as owners as well as craft is Rp. 1,331,400 per month. When viewed from family income, it turns out that the income of the owner's family is greater, where the average income of the owner's family is Rp. 4,856,400 per month. So it can be seen that the contribution of women is 27.41 percent in family income

Abstract

Social capital is a concept that is used to help rice farmers unite in achieving all common goals on the basis of togetherness and in which they are bound by structural, relational, and cognitive values. Intellectual Capital is a resource of information and knowledge that can function to improve competitiveness and improve farmer performance. The empowerment of lowland rice farmers is an effort made by lowland rice farmers in developing their abilities in the process of lowland rice farming. In a study entitled identification of social capital and intellectual capital in increasing the empowerment of lowland rice farmer groups in Empat Balai Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency, the number of rice farmers sampled was 33 people consisting of core administrators in 11 farmer groups, with a sampling technique that is purposive technique. sampling. Based on the results of the study, the social capital variable has a result of 67.72 which is included in the medium category, the intellectual capital variable has a result of 72.25 which is included in the high category and the empowerment level variable has a result of 64.27 which is in the fairly empowered category

Abstract

Plantations are one of the subsectors that have an important role in economic development. Cocoa (Theobrema cacao L.) is one of the leading commodities of plantation subsectors. Cocoa commodities consistently act as a source of foreign exchange of the country that contributes to the structure of the Indonesian economy. This research aims to analyze the development of competitiveness as well as compare the market share of Indonesian cocoa bean exports in the international market. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of time series data from 2013 to 2018. The analysis method used is a quantitative method, which is to estimate the development of competitiveness and compare the export market share of Indonesian cocoa beans with some competitiveness countries using Constant Market Share (CMS), Trade Specialization Index (ISP), and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). The biggest competitors for indonesia’s cocoa bean exports are: Ivory Coast and Ghana. Based on the results of CMS index estimates showed an increase in Indonesia's cocoa bean exports influenced by the increasing world demand for cocoa beans from competitiveness countries. Then THE ISP showed Indonesia had a negative ISP value in the period 2017-2018 because Indonesia's cocoa bean exports decreased, while RCA showed Indonesia, Ivory Coast and Ghana had a Comparative advantage for positive cocoa bean commodities during the period 2013-2018

Abstract

This study aims to examine the comparison of the income of rice farmers between members of farmer groups and non-members of farmer groups in Nagari Salayo, Kubung District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis, farming analysis and the average difference test of two independent samples (Independent sample t-test). The number of samples consisted of 35 rice farmers who were members of the farmer group and 35 rice farmers who were not members of the farmer group. The results showed that the farming of farmers belonging to farmer groups was more profitable than farmers who were not members of farmer groups, it could be seen from the value of the R/C ratio over the total cost of farmers belonging to farmer groups of 2.28, greater than the R/C ratio obtained by non-group members, namely of 2.08. Thus, farmer group membership has an effect on increasing farm income of rice farmers
