Abstract

Tourism is a major global economic sector undergoing tremendous growth in emerging economies and is often touted as salient for development and poverty alleviation in developing countries. Tourism is recognized as a highly climate-sensitive sector, one that is also strongly influenced by environmental and socioeconomic change influenced by climate change. This research examines climate changes and natural disasters' ramifications on tourism businesses in Himachal Pradesh, India. It encompasses factors such as supply chain interruptions, distribution network inefficiencies, and trade blockades affecting market demand, tourist influx, information technology issues, and the necessity for risk management in changing climatic conditions. Additionally, the demographic profiles of 500 respondents are analyzed to understand the specific challenges tourism businesses face. The findings of this research contribute to the understanding of the complex interplay between climate change, natural disasters, and tourism in Himachal Pradesh. They serve as a foundational framework for formulating strategies geared toward augmenting the resilience and sustainability of tourism enterprises when confronted with these challenges, ultimately ensuring the enduring prosperity of regions heavily reliant on tourism.

Abstract

Developing an Android-based application for an alarm clock using the Android Studio IDE introduces a unique approach to addressing common issues with waking up on time. The primary feature of this application is designed to require users to physically move and walk a few steps to deactivate the ringing alarm. This functionality forces users to wake up fully, preventing them from repeatedly snoozing at the alarm and falling back asleep. The application is specifically tailored to assist students in maintaining a disciplined morning routine. Encouraging users to get out of bed promptly helps them prepare for their day, attend morning classes on time, and avoid skipping breakfast, essential for energy and focus throughout the day. In addition to its benefits for students, the application is equally valuable for working professionals who struggle with the habit of snoozing alarms repeatedly. It aims to instill a sense of punctuality and ensure they begin their day on schedule, contributing to better time management and productivity. This innovative solution addresses a widespread challenge by combining technology with behavioral motivation. It promotes healthier habits and ensures users start their day with momentum, making it a practical tool for anyone looking to improve their morning routine. With its user-friendly interface and purposeful design, the Android-based alarm clock application is poised to offer a reliable and engaging solution to an everyday problem, empowering individuals to take charge of their mornings effectively.

Abstract

Internet financial reporting provides the fastest information about company conditions, including financial and business data. This study examines the impact of corporate governance mechanisms on Internet Financial Reporting. Purposive sampling was used to select the sample, which included 105 companies in 2022. Linear regression analysis was employed to analyze the data. The study findings indicate that the audit committee and audit firm influence Internet Financial Reporting. At the same time, the educational background of the board of directors, board of commissioners, and ownership concentration have no significant effect. The increasing adoption of technology in financial reporting has led to internet-based financial reporting, enabling companies to present their financial statements on time and facilitate the dissemination necessary information regarding investment potential and opportunities before the data becomes obsolete. This study investigates the role of corporate governance mechanisms in influencing the timeliness of Internet Financial Reporting. The timely dissemination of financial information through internet-based reporting is crucial for investors to make informed decisions, allowing them to access relevant data before it becomes outdated. This study provides insights into the specific corporate governance factors that can impact the timeliness of this reporting, which is an important consideration for companies seeking to improve their transparency and disclosure practices.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology within the banking sector have intensified competition among banks, prompting both government and private banks in Indonesia to adopt various strategies to enhance the quality and diversity of financial services offered to their customers. These strategies include developing internal digital banking systems focusing on multichannel delivery, particularly mobile banking. This research aims to test and analyze mobile banking users' behavioral intentions and behaviors by applying the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with data collected through purposive sampling. A questionnaire was distributed to 125 mobile banking users in Surabaya, of whom 100 responded. The findings reveal that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence positively and significantly influence the behavioural intention to use mobile banking. Behavioural intention, in turn, has a positive and significant impact on use behaviour. However, facilitating conditions have a positive but insignificant influence on the use behaviour of mobile banking users in Surabaya. This study provides valuable insights into the factors driving mobile banking adoption and usage in Indonesia. These findings can inform the development of more effective strategies to promote digital financial services.

Abstract

In the modern digital landscape, micro, small, and medium enterprises face significant challenges in reaching and engaging their target customers. This quantitative research study examines the impact of social media and email marketing strategies on sales growth in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Sumenep District. It focuses on the effectiveness of social media and email marketing in the current digital era, where digital marketing strategies have become crucial for improving MSME performance and sustainability. MSME managers in the Sumenep district were surveyed using a specially designed questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using statistical methods to identify the relationships between social media use, email marketing, and MSME sales growth. The results reveal that social media strategies substantially influence MSME sales growth by increasing visibility, customer engagement, and brand awareness. However, email marketing has not significantly impacted MSME sales in the district, possibly due to limited adoption among MSME managers. This lack of adoption may be attributed to factors such as limited knowledge, resources, or the perceived effectiveness of email marketing among MSME owners in the region. The findings suggest that investing in social media marketing can be a viable strategy for MSMEs in Sumenep District to drive sales growth. Besides that, email marketing may require further education and support to increase adoption and effectiveness. This study provides insights that can help MSME owners and policymakers in Sumenep District develop more effective digital marketing strategies to enhance the performance and competitiveness of local businesses.
