Abstract

This research objective (1) Find out the effect of the group division in the TAPPS learning model of students' ability to solve problems; (2) Determine the improvement of students’ problem-solving ability after group division in the TAPPS learning model is applied; (3) find out the effect of group division in the TAPPS learning model on students’ learning outcomes; (4) Determine the improvement in the students’ learning outcomes after group division in the TAPPS learning model applied. The subjects of this research were students at SMA Islam Al Ulum Terpadu Medan consisting of two classes. X MIA 1 consists of 28 students who will be divided into 3 group divisions with different numbers of members. X MIA 2, formed of 30 students will also be divided into 3 group divisions with different numbers of members. The type of research was a true experiment to determine the effect of group division in the TAPPS model for the subject. The data collection instrument used in this research consisted of a problem-solving test with 10 essay forms that had been validated by three experts. The data analysis techniques used in this study are quantitative. The results of this study (1) There is an effect of group division in the TAPPS learning model on students’ problem-solving ability on momentum and impulse topics. (2) The improvement can be seen from the one-way ANOVA that was used to see the significant difference in the average score between all pairs in the pretest and all pairs in the posttest. The p-value in both correctors is smaller than 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) (3) There is an improvement in students’ problem-solving ability, to the improvement of students’ learning outcomes. (4) The improvement can be seen from the n-Gain test was used to see the difference between pretest and posttest final values in every group division. The interval of n-Gain between group divisions is 0,32 – 0,40. this value is included in the medium category, which is (0.30 ≤ n-Gain ≤ 0.70). so, based on these results, the group division in the TAPPS learning model can improve student learning outcomes on momentum and impulse topics. Abstract

This research aims to develop a critical thinking test instrument on the material of work and energy that completes the aspects of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, item discrimination, and distractor effectiveness and maps students' critical thinking skills. The type of research used is quantitative research with the Research and Development method using the Tjeerd Plomp educational design research model integrated with the ADDIE development model with 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instrument developed consists of 20 multiple-choice questions. The test sheet consists of multiple-choice physics test items arranged based on critical thinking indicators according to Facione. The results of the content validation test, according to material, construction, and language experts, obtained an average value of 0.97 with a high validity category. The validation results using the Cohen Kappa formula obtained a Kappa value of 0.63 with a "strong" category. Data analysis using the Microsoft Excel application. The results of the small class test obtained 75% valid items, high reliability with a value of 0.82, 50% moderate difficulty level, 60% of the category item discrimination was sufficient with an average of 0.38, and 85% of the effectiveness of the good category distractor. The results of the large class test obtained 80% valid items, medium reliability with a value of 0.62, 70% of the difficulty level of the medium category, the average item discrimination of 0.32 categories was sufficient, and 95% of items with good category distractor effectiveness.. The final results of the development of Critical Thinking test instruments on Business and Energy materials at PAB 8 Saentis Private High School using the ADDIE model R&D method amounted to 16 test items with the categories of valid, moderate reliability, good differentiation, moderate difficulty level, and good distractor effectiveness. Thus, the test instruments developed in the study are said to be feasible and function to map students' critical thinking skills. Keywords: Critical Thinking; Facione; Multiple Choice; Work; Energy

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the improvement in the use of the RQA learning model on the ability to analyze gravitational acceleration in Fluid Mechanics material. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with the population in this study being Physics Education students of the University of Jember class of 2021. Sampling used cluster random sampling by randomly selecting class A as the experimental class and class B as the control class. The instruments used were a learning outcome test in the form of an essay of 5 questions and independent practicum. The average value of student learning outcomes treated with the RQA learning model was 71.97 and 64.80 for the learning model in general. Based on the results of the t-test calculation analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25, there is a significant effect of the application of the RQA learning model on the analytical abilities of physics education students' 21. Abstract

To assist students' mastery of physics material, the period of application of innovative learning models to create learning that is more interesting, effective and fun. One of the learning models that can be implemented to improve the mastery of caliper physical material is the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model to students' mastery of caliper material and to determine the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model to mastery of caliper material. Based on observations made by researchers in learning physics when applying the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, students are easier to master the learning material, students are also more active and easier to absorb the material being taught. This kind of learning model can also eliminate boredom and boredom of students in learning physics which is actually very difficult to reach and master.
