Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of community satisfaction on administrative services and its effect on the efficiency of resource management in Rumbuk Village, Sakra District, East Lombok Regency. The study's sample population consists of 30 respondents. The data analysis method employed is simple linear regression, preceded by a thorough examination of the prerequisite assumptions. The regression test results indicate that community satisfaction with administrative services exerts a significant influence on the efficiency of resource management in Rumbuk Village. This assertion is substantiated by a statistical significance value of 0.000 0.05, indicating a positive directional relationship. The public satisfaction variable contributes 94% to the efficiency of resource management, while the remaining 6% is influenced by other factors not observed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and capital expenditure on economic growth and its implications on the education sector in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The sample used included the entire area of East Lombok Regency in the 2017 to 2022 period. The data analysis method used was multiple linear regression with a classic assumption test. The results of the analysis show that partially, regional original income has no significant effect on economic growth, as evidenced by the value of SIG 0.131> 0.05 in a negative direction. Meanwhile, the capital expenditure variable also has no significant effect on economic growth, with a value of Sig 0.108> 0.05 and a positive direction. Simultaneously, PAD and Capital Expenditures jointly have a significant effect on economic growth in East Lombok Regency, which is indicated by the value of SIG 0.223> 0.05. In relation to the education sector, the results of this study indicate that the ineffectiveness of PAD and capital expenditure in encouraging economic growth can have an impact on the allocation of the education budget and the quality of educational services in the area. With the contribution of PAD and capital expenditure of 38.2% to economic growth, there are still 61.8% of other factors that influence, including education and investment policies of human resources. These findings underline the importance of more optimal regional financial management strategies to encourage economic growth while improving the quality of education.

Abstract

A pension is a crucial part of the whole concept of retirement that ensures the financial security of the old age people of the society. With the increasing awareness of Islamic law among the masses, the sharia pension fund comes as the solution that merges the financing needs with the religious values. This sharia pension fund is engineered to be a secure source of income in the old age while the whole process and instruments are not just permitted by the law but are in accordance with the principles of Sharia. Sharia-compliant contracts are being used such as mudharabah and ijarah, and the Sharia Supervisory Council has the responsibility to ensure the Sharia rules are respected in the finance world. This is one of the ethical and fair-sector approaches in the global economy. This article provides an in-depth analysis of the definition and classification of a sharia pension fund along with the fund management and its benefits for ensuring financial security according to Islamic principles. It is therefore hoped that this concept can be referred to by individuals and institutions that are dedicated to the application of Islamic economic system as a means of long-term financial planning.

Abstract

The integration of mobile apps into Islamic education has the potential to enhance accessibility and improve learning outcomes. This study investigates the use of mobile apps for Islamic learning, focusing on their accessibility and impact on students' educational achievements. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving surveys and interviews with students and educators from Islamic institutions. Data were analysed using statistical tests to assess the level of accessibility and the effectiveness of mobile apps in facilitating learning. The results indicated that a significant proportion of students found these apps easy to use, which correlated with improved learning outcomes, such as better memorization of Qur'anic verses and understanding of Hadith. However, some challenges, including limited access to quality content and digital literacy, were identified. The study concludes that while mobile apps are valuable tools for Islamic education, there is a need for ongoing enhancements to optimize their use. Recommendations are provided for app developers and educators to address these challenges and further integrate technology into Islamic learning.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the thematic method in Aqidah Akhlak for Grade V students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and identifies the supporting and hindering factors that influence its effectiveness. Using a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation, the research reveals that thematic learning enables students to engage more actively in the learning process. The method provides opportunities for students to connect religious values with real-life experiences through discussions, critical thinking, and hands-on activities. The findings indicate that supporting factors include a conducive learning environment, adequate learning resources, and relevant curriculum design. On the other hand, obstacles such as limited teacher understanding of thematic planning and students’ perception of excessive assignments remain challenges. Despite these constraints, the thematic approach proves effective in enhancing students’ learning motivation and character development. This study suggests that ongoing teacher training and collaborative learning strategies are essential to improve the implementation of thematic learning in Islamic education settings.  The findings imply that effective thematic learning in Aqidah Akhlak requires well-prepared teachers and supportive learning environments.

Abstract

Literacy is a fundamental skill in education, encompassing not only reading and writing but also critical thinking, analysis, and deep comprehension of information. At Al-Amien University (UNIA) Prenduan, the Student Activity Unit (UKM) AJMI serves as a platform for female students passionate about writing and journalism. Despite high enthusiasm for this organization, the development of students' literacy competencies remains suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the role of UKM AJMI in enhancing female students' literacy skills and identify the challenges hindering its implementation. Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach and Edward III’s policy implementation theory, the study evaluates four key factors: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation involving UKM AJMI administrators and members. Findings reveal that UKM AJMI has initiated programs such as journalism training, book discussions, publication opportunities, and digital literacy workshops to bolster students' literacy. However, implementation faces obstacles, including poor internal coordination, limited resources (funding and access to reading materials), low member discipline and participation, and difficulties in forging external partnerships. To address these issues, the study recommends strengthening organizational coordination, optimizing resource allocation, and expanding collaboration with external institutions to foster more effective literacy development. This research serves as a valuable reference for designing university-level literacy programs and encourages further studies in this field.

Abstract

Physical function is crucial in the elderly, as physical endurance and muscle strength significantly impact the quality of life. Maintaining this function is essential to prevent disability, sarcopenia, frailty, and risk for metabolic disorders.  This study aimed to explore the relationship between walking distance, METs, and hand grip strength (HGS) in the community-retirement elderly population.  A total of 23 participants older adults from retirement community had measured body anthropometry, distance walking in 6 minutes, and hand grip strength. METS was calculated based on walking speed and body weight. Pearson correlation and linear regression were conducted to analyze the correlation. Hand grip strength was moderately correlated with walking distance (r=0,35) and weakly with METs (r=-0,18). Walking distance is negatively correlated with aged (r=-0.37) Regression indicated that age, weight, and HGS as walking distance performance variability. This was a preliminary study and finding that HGS as a predictor of mobility and functional endurance in elderly.
