Abstract

Hypertension can be controlled if it is treated properly from its early stage. However, many hypertensive patients are too late to realize until they experience complication of hypertension. Many things can cause complications of hypertension such as stress. Stress triggers hormonal producing which increase blood pressure and result complications of hypertension. The design of this research was cross sectional in which the independent and dependent variable were assessed simultaneously at one time. The population was hypertensive inpatients at wards Kediri Baptist Hospital that met criteria inclusion. Using Accidental Sampling, it was obtained 29 respondents. The independent variable was stress and the dependent variable was incidence of hypertensive complication. The data were collected using questionnaire and structured observation. Further, the data were analyzed statistically using Chi-Square with significant level α ≤ 0.05. It could be concluded that there was a correlation between stress and incidence of hypertensive complication on adult inpatient wards at Kediri Baptist Hospital.

Abstract

backgorund : Sputum is a substance removed from the lower respiratory tract by coughing. The impact of ineffectiveness of removing sputum make patients have difficulty in breathing and occurs gas exchange disturbance in the lungs that may lead to cyanosis, fatigue, apathies and weakness. Furthermore, this condition will experience a narrow of the airway as well as occur airway obstruction. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of effective cough in patient’s removing sputum towards  ineffectiveness of respiratory tract clearance in Medical Rehabilitation Installation Kediri  Baptist Hospital. Method : The design used here was pre experiment. The population were patients with ineffective airway clearance in installation of medical rehabilitation Kediri Baptist hospital using accidental sampling. The sample was 15 respondents who met the criteria for inclusion. The dependent variable was removing sputum. The data was collected using observation, then analyzed using “ Wilcoxon Statistical “ test with significance level α ≤ 0.05. Conclusion : The result of the research showed that  the result was p value = 0.003. because the value of the data group was p <0.05, which means H0 accepted and H1 is rejected, therefore, there was the influence before and after administrating of an effective cough with mean value of 15 respondents was 0.8, most of the 15 respondents there was a change up to 1 level, and some of the 15 respondents who did not happen some changes and other respondents place the greatest change up 2 levels.

Abstract

Customer Relationship Management supports a company in providing service to customers in real time and builds a relationship with each customer through the usage of customer’s information. Customer Relationship Marketing is a process to manage detailed information about individual customers and all customer points in order to manage the detailed information of each customer. The design of this study was observational by conducting market research. The respondents were 60 patients and 15 employees of Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward. Study of Customer Relationship Management and Customer Relationship Marketing was conducted after result of market research obtained. The result of this study showed that most of respondents had less knowledge about Kediri Baptist Hospital’s promotion and perception about the expensive cost, they also felt dissatisfaction towards the waiting room facilities and the administrative procedures. The result were discussed in FGD with hospital’s management and then decide the recommendations. Those included several things such as: improving human resources competence, one day care labor service, customer gathering, improving 24 hours nurse line post services.

Abstract

abstract   backgorund : Hosptalized stress is a process which causes a reason that obliging child to stay temporarly in the hospital, experiencing therapy and treatment until discharge instruction to return back home. Hospitalized stress can cause the child experience impairment of sleep pattern, especially pre school children. The negative impact from hospitalized stress to pre school children including physical disorder, psychological disorder, social and adaptation disorders towards environment. Most problem which is often complained was the difficulty to minimize child’s sleep in improving freedom on their bed. Method : The design used in this study was linear regression. The population was all parents with pre school children who stayed in pediatric ward. The samples were 30 respondents who met criteriaa  inclusion using total sampling. The independent variable was hospitalized stress and the dependent variable was disorder of sleep pattern, the data was collected using questionnaire and interview, then analyzed using linear regression with significantt level α ≤ 0,05. Conclusion : The result of this study showed that respondents had moderate hospitalized stress, they were 24 respondents (85,4%). More that 50% respondents had worse sleep pattern, they were 23 respondents (62%). The result of statistical test using linear regression was p = 0,035, it meant ho was refused and ha was accepted.   Key words : Stretching, Joint Pain, and the Elderly

Abstract

Elderly age is a person or population aged 60 years and over. Elderly undergo a process of decline of the body functions either biological, psychological and social functions, so that that condition may cause various problems, one of those problem is decreasing function of the body. During suffering illness, elderly patients in hospiritualtal need to get the attention not only on the biological aspect, but also the other aspects. The interventions that can be given to elderly patients in hospiritualtals to achieve the optimal quality of life by giving motivation of healing through spiritual care by the spiritualritual officers. The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between the role of spiritual care and motivation of healing to elderly patients at Ward Kediri Baptist Hospiritualtal. The design used in this research was cross sectional. The populations were all employees of the spiritual department in hospiritualtal and elderly patients at ward kediri baptist hospiritualtal. The samples were 80 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this research was the role of spiritual care, and the dependent variable was the motivation of healing. The data was collected using observation and questionnaire to elderly patients as respondents, then analyzed using Spearman's Rho test with significance level α ≤ 0,05. The result of this research showed that statistical test of Spearman's Rho got value ρ = 0.000 which means that ho was rejected and ha was accepted with correlation coefficient 0.574. The conclusion of the research, there was the correlation between the role of spiritual care and motivation of healing to elderly patients at Ward Kediri Baptist Hospiritualtal.

Abstract

Stimulation is important in children's cognitive development. Parent’s play an important role in supporting playing activities of the children. The objective of this study was to analyze correlation betwen the parent’s roles of children playing activities with cognitive development of preschool children (5-6 years).  The design of this study was cross sectional. The population was all of parents and student at kediri baptis setia bakti kindergarten. The samples were 38 respondents taken by total sampling. The  independent variable was parent’s roles of  children playing activities. The dependent variable was cognitive development of  preschool children (5-6 years). The data’s were collected using questionnaires and observation list (checklist), then analyzed using spearman rho with significance level of α ≤ 0.05. The result showed p = 0,161, where p > α it mean that ha was refused and h0 was accepted. The conclusion of this study, there was no correlation betwen the parent’s roles of children playing activities with cognitive development of  preschool children (5-6 years) in kediri baptis setia bakti kindergarten.

Abstract

Everyone has experienced stress and become motivated to do coping mechanism. The purpose of this study to analyze the relationship between stress and coping mechanisms of the menstrual cycle disorders. The design used was cross sectional. The populations were grade IV  student at STIKES RS Baptis Kediri. The samples were 35 respondents using purposive sampling. The independent variable was coping mechanism. The dependent variable was level of stress towards period disorders. Data  were collected through questionnaires and observation. The analysis using "logistic regression" tests with significance level a ≤ 0.05 the result P=0.767 it means between levels of stress and coping mechanisms are not related, for the stress levels with menstrual cycle disorders obtained P=0.018 there is a relationship the level of stress and menstrual cycle disorders. The conclusion, the coping mechanisms not related to the level of stress but the stress levels related to menstrual cycle disorders for student grade IV at STIKES RS. Baptis Kediri.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Background : Educational succeed or achievement is one of main goal in learning process. This process has an important influence towards individuals. Academic achievement is a proof learning succeeds or individual’s capability for learning activity based on credit to reach. Some individuals have problems like decreasing capability to achieve. Some factors that causes the individual has less achievement such as talent, interest, and motivation. From of three factors that influences achievement is motivation.  Motivation is a desire, willing, and mainspring that come from inside of someone self. The objective of this research is to analyze correlation between education motivation and academic achievement to first grade student of nursing S1 program A in kediri baptist health science college Method : This research analytic cross sectional research. Data was collected using questionnaire and semester credit then analyzed statistically using “Spearman’s Rho” with α ≤ 0.05. showed  that there was correlation between education motivation and academic achievement, most respondents had high motivation, there were 25 respondents (54,35%), fair motivation, there were 19 respondents (41,30%), and less motivation, there were 2 respondents (4,35%). Conclution : The counclution be concluded that there was  correlation between education motivation and academic achievement.   Keywords: education motivation, academic achievement.

Abstract

Hypertension walk slowly and not experienced until someone get significant organ problem. One of nursing interventions is slow stroke back massage. Objective of this research was to analyze the influence slow stroke back massage toward the change of blood pressure on hypertension’s at Puskesmas Pembantu Blabak Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pesantren 1 Kota Kediri. Design of this research was pre experiment. Population was the hypertension’s patient. Samples were 24 respondents on purposive sampling. Variable was blood pressure. Data was collected using mercurial sphygmomanometer, for know the influence slow stroke back massage using wilcoxon with significant level α < 0.05. Result of research showed that blood pressures significantly decrease. Slow stroke back massage can decrease blood pressure; with maximal value of systolic were 8.00 mmHg and 24.00 mmHg. Conclusion of this research was there was significant slow stroke back massage toward decreasing of blood pressure, easy to practice, simple using and cheap.

Abstract

The relaxation therapy (rose aromatherapy) is one of hypertension therapy. The objective of this research was to analyze influence of relaxation therapy (rose aromatherapy) towards blood pressure changes. The design was queasy experiment. The population was elderly with hypertension, the samples were 44 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The research variable was blood pressure. Data was collected using mercury sphygmomanometer, to determine the influence of relaxation therapy (rose aromatherapy). The analysis  using paired sample t-test and independent t-test with significant level α<0.05. The result showed that systolic and diastolic of blood pressure decreased significantly (p=systolic=0.000 and p=diastolic=0.000). Relaxation therapies (rose aromatherapy) for 10 minutes could decrease systolic of blood pressure and diastolic of blood pressure, with mean value decreasing systolic and diastolic were 10.63 mmHg and 10.18 mmHg and maximal value of  decreasing systolic and diastolic were 28.00 mmHg and 20 , 00 mmHg. The conclusion of this research is there was a significant influence of relaxation therapy (rose aromatherapy) towards blood pressure changes to the elderly with hypertension.
