Abstract

Hydraulic aspect of the weir is important factors in planning a stilling basin. Remaining energy on the stilling basin is expected to be as minimal as possible so that scour does not occur on the river bed. Plaosan Weir does not yet have a stiiling basin structure. Therefore it is necessary to recommend the design of stiliing basin. The analysis carried out hydrological analysis, including calculating return period rainfall, flood discharge (Q) using the Haspers method, and calculating Froude number (Fr) to determine pond type. Based on the recommendations for the type of stilling basin, a building design is carried out and also stability of design..From the results of calculation it is obtained that 50-year return period rainfall is 108.68 mm. Planned discharge for 50 years is 186.06 m3/s, and froude number : 4. The appropriate type of stilling basin is USBR Type IV. The pond is planned to have a length of L = 17 m, with a block face width of 0.68 m, height of 1.36 m, distance between front blocks of 1.69 m and total of 13 pieces. The results of stability control analysis during normal water conditions and flood water conditions produce values above the safety factor so that it can be concluded that the design is planned qualify.

Abstract

Management of water resources in river areas includes 5 aspects, namely conservation of water resources, utilization of water resources, and control of water damage, supported by water resources information systems and community empowerment. The Blorong River area is the area of authority of the PSDA of Central Java Province which is in the administrative area of Kendal Regency. This river often overflows, causing losses to the surrounding area. This research was conducted to analyze the flood inundation caused by the overflow of the Blorong river using the design flood hydrograph used in this study is the Nakayasu synthetic unit hydrograph. Hydraulics analysis using the HEC-RAS 4.1.0 application system (Hydrologic Engineering Center). The cross-sectional data of the river was obtained from PUSDATARU, Central Java Province. The results of the analysis on the Blorong River obtained a high inundation water level profile using the HEC – RAS program.Based on the existing conditions, it is planned to normalize the Blorong River and add embankments to the overflowing river section. The embankment design is an earth embankment with a height of 5.14 calculated from the MAB plus a guard of 0.8 m, the width of the embankment is 3 m. From the calculation results it is known that the embankment is safe against overturning and sliding. Keywords: Blorong River, Flood, River Improvement

Abstract

The city of Surakarta is a big city that has a function as a center for trade, tourism, culture, education, and sports which always experiences an increase in population and number of vehicles every year. The increasing number of facilities and infrastructure needs in the transportation sector must of course be balanced with the existence of supporters that make these transportation facilities more useful, namely the existence of roads and their management and performance of intersections. The intersection area with a signaling the National Awakening Road - Jalan Bayangkara is in a commercial area because there are many shops and settlements, so it has heavy traffic and a fast growth rate of traffic. This study aims to provide an overview of traffic congestion conditions that occur at the intersection of the four-lane National Awakening Street - Bhayangkara Street, Surakarta city and analyze the right solution to be applied in order to overcome congestion that occurs at the four-way intersection of Jalan Kebangkitan Nasional - Jalan Bhayangkara, Surakarta. From the results of existing calculations for the intersection without Signal Jl. National Awakening - Jl. Bhayangkara Kota Surakarta with the MKJI 1997 method, the value of the degree of saturation (DS) is obtained, namely = 1.12 or more than 0.85. So that we need several alternatives to describe congestion at the intersection. For the first alternative using the method of switching the road into one direction. The results of the degree of saturation (DS) = 0.32 for the Western approach, DS = 0.71 for the South approach. Then we also try to make a second alternative, which is to make the intersection a signaled intersection. So the value of the degree of saturation (DS) is = 0.47 for the north approach, DS = 0.73 for the south approach, DS = 0.63 for the eastern approach and DS = 0.73 for the western approach. Keywords: Intersection, intersection with signal, one direction, degree of saturationThe city of Surakarta is a big city that has a function as a center for trade, tourism, culture, education, and sports which always experiences an increase in population and number of vehicles every year. Abstract

Paving block is an environmentally friendly construction where paving blocks are very good at helping groundwater conservation, implementation is faster, easy to install and maintain, has a variety of forms that add aesthetic value, and the price is easy to reach. Therefore, paving blocks are an important building material in the construction of public facilities, especially for road construction in residential areas. The use of paving blocks in the field is still limited to parking lot pavements, sidewalks, parks and connecting buildings. Even though the application of paving block materials is very wide. However, of course, local experience and the successful use of paving blocks will play more and more influence in terms of the application of these materials. Stone ash in this study was used as a substitute for natural fine aggregate (natural sand) with the proportions of 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60%. To get the optimal compressive strength value, the researcher has the opinion of a combination of fine aggregate of natural sand and rock ash waste with the appropriate percentage. And tested with mortar age of 14 days and 28 days. In the study, the volume weight test of paving blocks with the addition of stone ash waste obtained the highest compressive strength at a variation of 45% for the test at the age of 14 days and 28 days, with the compression test for 14 days reaching a compressive strength of 100.92 kg/cm2 and for the compressive test 28 day reached a compressive strength of 160.28 kg/cm2.

Abstract

Soil is a structure that chan be used as an embankment to prevent flooding in rivers and also sea eater tidal waves. Rivers are surface flows that are formed naturally or artificially and flow continuously to the sea. The condition of the soil on the river embankment is very unstable, which is directly adjacent to the irrigation canal, and the condition of the soil is very weak, causing the slope or embankment to collapse. The aim of this research is to determine soil stability analysis using the Plaxis Program Version 8.2, a geotechnical analysis program that can analyze soil stability using the finite element method which is capable of carrying out analyzes that can approximate actual behavior. Plaxis Version 8.2 provides various analyzes of displacement, stresses that occur in the soil, slope safety factors and others. The results of the analysis using the plaxis program Version 8.2 obtained maximum results. From the analysis of the Plaxis program on the construction of the Tuntang River Embankment landslide, it was found that in conditions where the soil was not repaired, it had a safety factor of 1.237 <1.5, which was smaller than the required safety factor, namely 1.5, so that the soil condition was unstable or a landslide. The condition of the soil in the channel was excavated and piled on top of the embankment, safety factor 1.105 < 1.5, this condition became worse due to the load on the embankment, the soil was strengthened by handling bamboo cerucuks to ensure that the soil did not experience movement at a distance of 0.5 m zig-zak. If a safety factor of 1.501 > 1.5, then with bamboo reinforcement the embankment can be overcome and not experience landslides.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of descriptive statistics in the world of construction projects to analyze and interpret the data under study. Considering that time is a crucial thing in the project, it is necessary to have auxiliary tools to increase the time usage effectively for all important elements in the construction project. One of them is to shorten the time to analyze research results from testing concrete or concrete mixtures with case studies. To achieve maximum results, it takes a lot of samples that produce a lot of data. Hence, this study tries to use T-Test analysis of descriptive statistics which can help compare related groups to find out whether there are differences between groups. The results of the case study showed that there was no significant difference between concrete with normal mixture and other mixtures. Thus, the results of the study analysis can be concluded immediately whether the quality of the concrete according to the design criteriaKeywords: Descriptive Statistic, T-Test, The Quality of concrete
