Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable metabolic disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is associated with several micro and macrovascular complications and is also a leading cause of death. Type II Diabetes Mellitus cannot be cured but can be managed by adhering to the four pillars of Type II DM management, which include health education, meal planning or diet, regular physical exercise, and regular medication intake (Meirani, 2018). Individuals with Type II Diabetes Mellitus are often associated with obesity or an unhealthy lifestyle, as well as a lack of physical activity. The lack of physical activity or exercise is associated with an increased risk of hyperglycemia, and physical exercise becomes a useful strategy to help maintain blood sugar within the normal range. One type of physical exercise that can be done is leg exercises, as it can help regulate normal metabolism in the body and burn excess calories (Hasdianah, 2018).

Abstract

Childbirth is a normal physiological event experienced by every woman, characterized by uterine contractions and the delivery of a full-term baby (37-42 weeks) through the vagina, resulting from the fertilization of the egg inside the uterus, either through the birth canal or through other means such as a cesarean section. Childbirth is a natural process that involves the dilation of the cervix, the birth of the baby and placenta from the mother's uterus. There are four stages of childbirth: dilation, delivery of the baby, delivery of the placenta, and finally, the recovery and postpartum observation. There are two types of childbirth: vaginal delivery (also known as normal delivery) where the baby is delivered through the vagina, and cesarean section (C-section) which is a surgical procedure where the baby is delivered through an incision in the abdominal wall (laparotomy) and the uterus, with the condition that the uterus is intact and the fetal weight is over 500 grams. Childbirth is a physiological process that can cause significant changes in the mother's body, allowing the baby to be born through a normal vaginal delivery or a C-section.

Abstract

Degenerative diseases are non-communicable diseases that occur due to a decline in organ function and aging. The primary cause of degenerative diseases is an unhealthy diet. The theories associated with degenerative diseases include free radicals and growth inhibition. One such degenerative disease is Stroke. Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease. Abstract

A common issue experienced by post-cesarean section patients is impaired physical mobility. Early mobilization post-cesarean section is conducted to prevent immobilization complications. This study aims to implement early mobilization in post-cesarean section patients. The research design utilizes a descriptive method in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach. Nursing care was provided to two post-cesarean section patients with physical mobility issues. This case study explores nursing care in post-cesarean section patients experiencing impaired physical mobility through teaching early mobilization and providing health education on early mobilization. The inclusion criteria were 4-6 hours post-cesarean section with spinal anesthesia, and the exclusion criteria were post-cesarean section primigravida patients. The research results indicate that the implementation of early mobilization nursing care can reduce mobility problems, as both patients were able to walk and engage in activities independently. The provision of early mobilization nursing interventions effectively influences the resolution of physical mobility impairments experienced by patients, enabling them to perform activities as usual and increase their knowledge about early mobilization post-cesarean section.

Abstract

Complaints of nephrolithiasis in each patient depend on the position or location of the stone, size of the stone, and resulting complications. Common complaints include flank pain, back pain, hematuria (blood in the urine), stone obstruction leading to urinary flow blockage and urinary tract contamination, fever, chills, and feelings of anxiety. However, pain is a common and frequently experienced symptom in every nephrolithiasis patient. Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional sensation associated with tissue damage or other factors, causing individuals to feel distressed and suffer, thereby disrupting daily activities, psychological well-being, and more. Acute pain is a sensory or emotional experience related to actual or potential tissue damage, with a sudden or gradual onset and an intensity ranging from mild to severe, lasting less than 3 months. Various non-pharmacological methods, including progressive muscle relaxation techniques, can help reduce pain.
