Abstract

A common issue experienced by post-cesarean section patients is impaired physical mobility. Early mobilization post-cesarean section is conducted to prevent immobilization complications. This study aims to implement early mobilization in post-cesarean section patients. The research design utilizes a descriptive method in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach. Nursing care was provided to two post-cesarean section patients with physical mobility issues. This case study explores nursing care in post-cesarean section patients experiencing impaired physical mobility through teaching early mobilization and providing health education on early mobilization. The inclusion criteria were 4-6 hours post-cesarean section with spinal anesthesia, and the exclusion criteria were post-cesarean section primigravida patients. The research results indicate that the implementation of early mobilization nursing care can reduce mobility problems, as both patients were able to walk and engage in activities independently. The provision of early mobilization nursing interventions effectively influences the resolution of physical mobility impairments experienced by patients, enabling them to perform activities as usual and increase their knowledge about early mobilization post-cesarean section.

Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg in two measurements five minutes apart in a fairly calm/resting state. The incidence of hypertension in Central Kalimantan, Palangka Raya City for the age group >18 years is 93%, while the number of patients experiencing hypertension in the Tabunganen sub-district area from January-July 2022 is 112 people. To determine the relationship between diet and stress with the incidence of hypertension in the Tabunganen sub-district area.Correlational Analytical research type. The population in this study were patients experiencing hypertension. The sample consisted of 45 respondents. Correlation analysis uses the Spearman Rho test. There is a relationship between diet and physical activity and the incidence of hypertension with a correlation coefficient value for stress levels of 0.409 and a correlation coefficient for physical activity of 0.691 with a calculated p value of 0.001 < 0.05. This value shows that the hypotheses Ha1 and Ha2 are accepted, which means there is a relationship between the patterns. eating and physical activity with the incidence of hypertension. Health workers can strengthen health promotion efforts related to hypertension based on diet and physical activity and health workers carry out nursing care, especially for patients with hypertension and high risk related to diet and physical activity.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a lifelong disease that cannot be cured, but blood sugar levels can be minimized or controlled to remain similar to those of individuals with normal glucose levels or within normal limits. Uncontrolled or poorly managed glucose levels can lead to various complications. The physical impact of diabetes includes patients becoming easily fatigued. Psychologically, patients may experience anxiety, stress, or even depression. Adjusting to a chronic illness like diabetes mellitus can cause stress (Basuki, 2014). Emotional stress negatively affects diabetes control because increased stress hormones can raise blood glucose levels, especially when food intake and insulin administration are not properly managed (Diabetes Mellitus, Diet, Balanced).

Abstract

Banjarmasin is one of the cities with a high risk of various natural disasters. This is due to its geographical location and environmental conditions that make it vulnerable to flooding and extreme weather changes. Given these potential risks, hospitals operating in Banjarmasin must have strong disaster management preparedness to face various possible disasters. Adequate preparedness is essential to minimize the negative impacts on healthcare services as well as the safety of patients and hospital staff This study aims to analyze the disaster management preparedness of hospitals in Banjarmasin. A descriptive observational study approach was used to obtain an accurate picture of their preparedness. Additionally, a semi-quantitative method was employed to measure and evaluate various aspects of preparedness in a more detailed and structured manner. The primary data for this study were collected through in-depth interviews with hospital experts. These interviews were conducted using a modified version of the Safe Hospital Checklist, which focuses on disaster management, risk management, and preparedness. The results from these interviews will be used to provide recommendations to help hospitals improve their disaster management preparedness

Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is a significant health issue that can affect both the mother and the fetus, including the risk of preterm labor, low birth weight, and complications during delivery. Pregnant women's knowledge about anemia prevention plays a crucial role in improving their health during pregnancy. Factors such as poor dietary habits, low iron intake, and lack of awareness about the importance of antenatal care are the main contributors to the high prevalence of anemia. With adequate understanding of anemia prevention, pregnant women are more likely to maintain a nutritious diet, take iron supplements regularly, and undergo routine prenatal check-ups to ensure optimal health. In the Tabunganen District, knowledge levels among pregnant women regarding anemia prevention vary, influenced by factors such as education, access to information, and support from healthcare providers. Educational programs conducted by midwives and health workers play an essential role in raising awareness about balanced nutrition, iron supplementation, and the importance of regular check-ups at health facilities. By increasing knowledge and awareness of anemia prevention among pregnant women, the incidence of anemia is expected to decrease, thereby improving maternal and fetal health and reducing the risk of complications during pregnancy and childbirth
