All drugs used by the patient during DRESS should be stopped immediately. Complications of DRESS are myocarditis, Pneumocystis jiroveciipneumonia, sepsis, liver failure, and gastro-intestinal bleeding. Abstract

Written communication in an educational setting aims to convey messages related to academics or finances. The messages delivered contain either positive or negative information. This study aims to reveal the organization of negative business messages preferred by higher education students while receiving messages from university parties. The participants are the vice-chancellors for finance and academic affairs or the representatives (heads of divisions) at three private universities within the Association of Catholic Higher Learning Institutions as the senders and 170 active students in several universities as the receivers. This study uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches. I collected data through online questionnaires, semistructured interviews, and observation of written documents in email and WhatsApp. I proposed four essential dimensions of negative message, namely, organization/approach, language, medium, and response, with the Likert scale questionnaire. I also inserted two cases of negative messages at the end of the questionnaire to find students’ tendency to select one they liked. The questionnaire results are used to discover the participants’ preference for the approach of relaying negative messages, corroborated by the interviews. The study found that students preferred direct approach to negative business messages. Buffers, prevalent in negative business with indirect order, are found in the email. A positive tone was not found at the end of the message. The study concluded that negative messages should be conveyed in writing with direct organizations and positive language and addressed to students before being forwarded to their parents

Abstract

One of the rice producing regions in Indonesia is South Sulawesi. Wajo Regency is the second highest rice producing area in South Sulawesi, after Bone Regency. Based on the irrigation system, rice cultivation in Wajo Regency consists of technical irrigation, rainfed rice fields, and rice cultivation or dry land. Agriculture with various irrigation systems has an impact on pest population levels and the intensity of attacks. The decline in rice productivity is caused by many factors, one of which is the attack of rice rat pests that occur in several areas in Wajo Regency. There are several techniques and strategies for field rat management, ranging from sanitation, technical culture or plant cultivation, mechanical, biological, and chemical physical. All techniques and strategies of rice rat management must be applied integrated, continuously, and together in one stretch. This study aims to measure the potential presence of rice rats in several irrigation systems in Wajo Regency (irrigation, rainfed rice fields, and dryland rice), analyze the management of rice rats carried out by farmers, and the factors that affect it. The method used is observing rice planting patterns based on irrigation systems, estimating the population level of rice rats with single live traps and the level of attack on several rice planting irrigation systems. Likewise, rice rat population management in several rice planting irrigation systems, data analysis, and economic analysis. The result of this study is that the highest estimate of rats is in dryland rice plantations. The intensity of rat attacks was highest in dry land Pr>F 0.045 the area of attack was highest in rainfed land Pr>F was 0.0171, for intensity and area of attack in generative phase 1. The success of cultivation in dry land was 16.3% in generative phase 1 which was 16.48%. The presence of rats correlates both the intensity of the attack and the area of each addition of rats will increase the intensity of the attack by 0.155% and the area of attack by 0.308%.

Abstract

In its history, intuition has a variety of spectrum of meaning from various fields of study. Most associate it with mystical things that are intervened by supernatural powers. Especially with knowledge that comes suddenly (Eureka/Ilham moment) makes intuition not infrequently connected with Divine Agents. As a process, debate about intuition often occurs in the field of philosophical and psychological studies. Both have a fundamental difference, both from the meaning of the process and knowledge they produce. However, regardless of these differences, philosophical intuition and psychological intuition have a fundamental equality that is far related to something that is mystical. This article will describe the intuition from two perspectives then analyze the differences and similarities of intuition in the study of philosophy and psychology to find the existence of divine interference

Abstract

It is believed that implementing and realizing a merit system in managing government resources not only increases professionalism but also anticipates the occurrence of corruption. A comprehensive merit system can also encourage further positive impacts, especially on the investment climate and boosting the national economy. The enactment of the Civil Service Law is the government's step in realizing a merit system in Indonesia. However, approaching a decade of implementation, admitting the merit system still leaves some outwork and shortcomings. The strong culture of primordialism, patronage, and nepotism affects human resource management at various levels of the Indonesian government. Meanwhile, Indonesia has a noble ambition to implement a comprehensive merit system in the upcoming golden Indonesia period of 2045. This begins by determining the achievements of the merit system to produce professional ASN as a foundation by 2029. This study will further discuss what merit system principles as factors can be determined and implemented for Indonesian government institutions. Considering merit system principles such as strengthening capacity and capability, openness and impartiality, empowerment, and effective leadership is believed to encourage widespread and comprehensive implementation of the merit system. The elements of an optimal and effective merit system in the workplace will form professional employees, foster better societal conditions, and ultimately have a broader positive impact at the regional and national levels.
