Abstract

This paper will try to discuss the social changes that have occurred in Krikilan Village, Kalijambe District, Sragen Regency, Central Java Province. This village is located in the Sangiran Cultural Heritage Area (BCB) which is protected by law. This is raised in this paper, due to a unique process of social change that only applies in this village. Since this IDT village was visited by foreign researchers especially von Koenigswald in 1934 in the context of exploring the Sangiran Site, followed by the establishment of the Sangiran Museum in 1974, and then followed by the expansion of the rock industry center (fossil) in 1980, social changes are very much found in the life of the people of Krikilan Village.

Abstract

Community service is something that still colors our daily lives. In various environments, these activities are carried out regularly, anticipating certain events and on several occasions are also carried out to help rehabilitate areas affected by natural disasters. Actually, this is not something new. For a long time this activity has been carried out. Data about it can be found in various historical sources. A new data in the form of a newly discovered inscription also confirms the information about it.

Abstract

Is there a relationship between the sculpting technique and the theme of the story? As is known in the Ciwa and Brahma Temples (the Ramayana story) tells the journey of a noble or king, so it requires complete accessories. On the other hand, in the Vishnu temple, Kresnayana's story tells of Kresna's "life journey" as a "human being" who socializes a lot with the lower community. In terms of the quality of the order, the sequence is as follows: First Ciwa Temple, Second Brahma Temple, and the third Vishnu Temple. Because it is a continuation of the Ramayana story, the Brahma Temple is one level better than that of Vishnu Temple.

Abstract

Cases on Biting Sites may occur because the site has not been legally designated as a Cultural Conservation Area and has not been properly managed. To avoid cases such as on Biting Sites, it is time for important sites in Indonesia to be legally designated as Cultural Conservation Areas, and their preservation and utilization are managed according to their potential.

Abstract

In this paper, the study will focus on the presence of beads, particularly those found in one of the mounds of land in Dukuh Kemiling, Punggungharjo Village. The number of bead finds and bead candidates on this site is interesting to study, in addition, bricks with the date 1325 AD were also found. The data found at the Kemiling site are very interesting because they are the first findings in Indonesia based on the number of beads and context which is thought to be a sacred place in the past. In this regard, this study is intended to reconstruct the role and function of beads, that these remains are not only used as grave provisions or for aesthetic purposes, but also related to the function of rituals.

Abstract

Culture is a human effort to adapt to its environment, including in terms of constructing a building or religious site. In constructing a building it is influenced by several factors, for example due to ecological, economic, political and religious factors. Site placement in the Palembang area can be approached from an ecological approach. Based on available data, the archaeological sites in Palembang are all located on the right side of the Musi River. It turns out that based on the altitude of the place, the right side of the river is higher than the left side.

Abstract

We always expect the ideal both in the implementation of development and in the management of archaeological resources. However, the reality on the ground is that these ideal expectations cannot always be fulfilled, on the contrary, the worst things happen. Development does not always have a positive impact, often development has a negative impact on efforts to conserve archaeological resources. .
