Abstract

This research was conducted at the Banteng Tani Livestock Group, Losarang District, Indramayu Regency from February 20 to March 30, 2022. This study aims to analyze the quality of solid organic fertilizer (organic fertilizer) and liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from beef cattle farm waste in the livestock group. Banteng Farmer, Losarang District. This study uses a descriptive field experiment method, the observed variables are physical characteristics of organic fertilizers (color, texture, pH and temperature) and chemical characteristics of organic fertilizers including N, P and K content from 2 treatments on organic fertilizers without added EM-4. (P1) with organic fertilizer with the addition of EM-4 (P2). The results showed that solid organic fertilizer (P2) had physical characteristics in the form of a blackish color, crumb texture and an earthy smell, in contrast to P1 with a brownish color with a slightly crumbly texture and a slight smell of feces. Similarly, the chemical content in P2 contains N 0.94%, P 0.37% and K 0.55%, this is higher than (P1) with N content 0.61%, P 0.26% and K 0 ,48%. For liquid organic fertilizer, P2 contains N 0.57%, P 0.62% and K 1.23% higher than P1 with N 0.27%, P 0.41% and K 1.06%. Processing of beef cattle farm waste at the Banteng Tani Farmers Group using EM-4 (P2) can improve the characteristics and improve the quality of solid organic fertilizers and liquid organic fertilizers compared to those without added EM-4 (P1) and have met SNI compost standards.

Abstract

This research was conducted in March - August 2021, located in Darma District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia, which is located at the coordinates 7°02°09.4 "South Latitude 108°24'24'20.6' East Longitude. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of indigofera flour on the performance muscovy duck. The research was conducted experimentally using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 80 muscovy duck were drawn to be placed in a cage which was divided into 20 sections consisting of 4 muscovy duck. The types of treatment used were P0 (basal ration) as control, P1 25% indigofera flour, P2 50% indigofera flour, P3 75% indigofera flour and P4 100% indigofera flour as a substitute for soybean meal and rice bran. The variables observed were ration consumption, weight gain, ration conversion and feed cost per gain. The research data were analyzed using variance (Anova) and if there was a significant difference, then further tested using Duncan's multiple distance test (DMRT). The results showed that the use of indigofera flor cold increase (P<0,05) feed consumption, this is due to the nutrient content in the ratio and the variables of weight gain, ration conversion and feed cost per gain did not show a significant difference (P>0,05). It can be concluted that the effect of the addition of indigofera as a subtitute for soybean meal and bran can increase ration consumption but is not followed by optimal grain performance.

Abstract

This research was carried out on March 30, 2021 to April 27, 2021, located in Darma District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province, which is located at the coordinates 7°02'09.4” South Latitude 108°24'24'20.6” East Longitude. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the level of indigofera flour ration on the carcass quality of muscovy duck. The study was conducted experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). 80 ducks are drawn by lot to be placed in a cage which has been divided into 20 sections, each section filled with 4 ducks. This study consisted of five types of treatment, namely PO without the addition of indigofera leaf meal (TDI) as control feed, P1 25% added TDI, P2 50% added TDI, P3 75% added TDI, and P4 100% added TDI. The variables observed in the study were the carcass quality of muscovy duck, including measurements of body composition, carcass composition, and non-carcass composition measurements. The research data were analyzed using the Variety Print or Anova (Analysis of Variance) and further tested using the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that feeding indigofera flour in the ration had a significant effect (P<0.05) on feather weight, dressing weight, carcass weight, chest weight, and non-carcass weight. However, overall the addition of TDI in the ration reduced the carcass quality of the muscovy duck. Therefore, it can be concluded that the addition of TDI as a substitute for soybean meal and bran in the eggplant ration is less effective and can reduce the quality of the eggplant carcass.

Abstract

Carcass percentage can be affected by feed consumed, age, sex, and environment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of giving vegetable waste silage in the ration on the percentage of carcasses, and to obtain the optimum percentage of male musk carcass feed formulations. The research was carried out experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD). A total of 80 male mussels were placed in 20 cage plots, so that each cage plot consisted of 4 individuals. The type of treatment used was R0 (100% rice bran) as control, R1 (75% rice bran + 25% vegetable waste silage), R2 (50% rice bran + 50% vegetable waste silage), R3 (25% rice bran + 75% vegetable waste silage). Variables observed included live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and carcass percentage (breast, thigh, back and wings). The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if they showed significant differences then further tested using Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that the use of vegetable waste silage feed had no significant effect on carcass weight (p>0,05). However, vegetable waste silage can be used as additional feed for rice brand not lass than 25% and not more than 50%. The results showed that treatment R1 (75% rice bran + 25% vegetable waste silage) and R2 treatment (50% rice bran + 50% vegetable waste silage) produced good carcass and percentage carcass weight in male ducks.
