The medical laboratory is an essential facility for clinicians and the public in assisting in establishing diagnoses and evaluating ongoing treatments. Phlebotomy is closely related to medical laboratory examinations. The purpose of this community service is to obtain blood samples in sufficient volume for the required test, taking into account the prevention of pre-analysis interference, inserting them into the correct tube, paying attention to safety, and with as little discomfort as possible to the patient. In order to obtain blood specimens that meet the laboratory test requirements. This activity was carried out by socializing and explaining the community service plan and carrying out assistance for medical laboratory personnel at the Community Health centres regarding safety standards and best practices in phlebotomy procedures. This activity was held from May 11 to 11 June 2020. Most participants were very enthusiastic about the material provided in this activity and hoped that similar activities could be continued as routine activities at the Juanda Health Center.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a public health problem and is one of four non-communicable diseases that receive priority follow-up targets for world leaders. The incidence of DM increases with age. Chronic hyperglycemia in DM is associated with long-term damage, and dysfunction of several organs, including the eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart and blood vessels. In addition to these organs, the skin is one of the organs that is often affected by DM. Skin manifestations in the form of infection are one of the chronic complications that are often seen in DM patients. High blood glucose levels cause skin glucose levels in DM patients to increase and facilitate the emergence of skin manifestations in the form of dermatitis, bacterial infections, fungal infections, and others. Infections in people with diabetes differ from one place to another, depending on the type of infection acquired, the level of environmental sanitation, nutritional status, and the level of individual immunity. Chronic infection can cause pain loss, due to nerve damage neuropathy and/or foot ischemic. This community service aims to provide health education and see the existence of fungal infections in the form of hyphae and spores on the skin scrapings of DM patients in Air Putih Village.

Food safety is one of the main health issues in Indonesia that needs to be handled properly by the government, producers and consumers (community). To get the food as desired, then in the manufacturing process is done with the addition of food additives or called food additives. The function of providing food additives is to prevent or slow down food spoilage, extend fresh shelf life or prevent insect spoilage in foodstuffs that are stored in large quantities. Formalin and Borax have bad side effects on health. The use of food can cause poisoning in the human body, namely abdominal pain accompanied by vomiting, nervous system or circulatory failure so it can be carcinogenic. Covid-19 can cause pneumonia, acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death in severe cases. Purpose: to increase knowledge regarding procedures for taking, handling and sending nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal specimens in Covid-19 patients. Method: this activity is by conducting training on techniques for taking, handling and sending oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal specimens in Covid-19 patients. Results: health workers have knowledge about the symptoms of Covid-19, ways of prevention, and procedures for taking, handling and sending nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal specimens in Covid-19 patients. Cholesterol is a steroid found in body tissues, a structural part of all cell membranes, and plays important roles such as being a precursor to various compounds such as bile acids, steroid hormones, and vitamin D. Cholesterol is obtained from synthetic processes in the body, especially the liver, adrenal cortex, intestines, and kidneys reproductive tissue (endogenous cholesterol), and from foods containing cholesterol such as egg yolks, meat, liver, and brain (extrinsic cholesterol). The increase in cholesterol levels is suspected to be caused by the consumption of foods that contain high cholesterol and low physical activity. Increased uric acid in the blood can be caused by the consumption of foods that have high purine levels, generally, these foods are foods that contain high protein levels. This community service aims to make the public know and understand how to detect uric acid early, as well as the impact of high uric acid in adulthood caused in order to achieve a productive and healthy society.

Development efforts in the health sector which are being carried out in stages and continuously are aimed at accelerating the attainment of the level of welfare. Indonesia is still prioritizing efforts to improve the health status of mothers and children, especially in groups that are most vulnerable to intimacy, namely pregnant women, childbirth, and babies in the perinatal period. Anaemia in pregnancy results in bleeding. Anaemia is a condition where the number and size of red blood cells or haemoglobin concentration is below the normal limit value, the result of which can interfere with the capacity of the blood to transport oxygen around the body. The prevalence rate of anaemia is still high, namely globally the prevalence of anaemia in pregnant women worldwide is 43.9%. The prevalence of anaemia in pregnant women is estimated in Asia at 49.4%, Africa at 59.1%, America at 28.1% and Europe at 26.1%. The total number of sufferers of anaemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is 70%, meaning that out of 10 pregnant women, as many as 7 people will suffer from anaemia. This community service aims to provide education to the public about how anaemia is experienced, especially in children and pregnant women and the role of ATLM in establishing the diagnosis of anaemia to determine further therapy for anaemia sufferers, especially in children and pregnant women.

Coronavirus is a collection of viruses that can infect the respiratory system. In most cases, this virus only causes mild respiratory infections, such as the flu. However, this virus can also cause severe respiratory infections, such as lung infections (pneumonia), Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The high rate of transmission in Indonesia makes every region always urge the public to implement health protocols and reduce activities outside the home. In handling the Covid-19 case, fast diagnostic enforcement is needed to determine the next step. One of the tools to assist in the diagnosis of Covid-19 is a supporting examination. The supporting tests in the laboratory currently available are PCR swabs and rapid tests. There are two types of rapid tests for Covid-19, namely antigen detection and antibody detection against the SARS-CoV-2 virus which causes Covid-19. This community service activity aims to assess the development of the Covid-19 case, it is necessary to carry out early detection in the community in the Air Hitam subdistrict RT 30, by carrying out a Covid-19 screening test using the Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT).

Diarrhoea is one of the most common digestive diseases in the community. Until now, diarrheal disease is still a major health problem and the main cause of death in children under five, especially in developing countries including Indonesia (WHO, 2009). Based on demographic characteristics, the under-five age group is the group with the highest incidence of diarrhoea. Socialization is one of our efforts to absorb and provide information that is relevant to our goals and objectives. Socialization is carried out as an effort to inform the public through the provision of socialization. Better understanding leads to better thinking. One of the efforts that must be made for socialization and education is the provision of safe vaccinations for diarrhoea sufferers. Due to the lack of public understanding of vaccination, people are reluctant to vaccinate. Therefore, promotive efforts on safe vaccination for diarrhoea sufferers were carried out by ITKES Health lecturers and student Wiyata Husada Samarinda. After the presentation of the material was completed, participants were first given a posttest by giving questionnaires to as many as 33 people who had good knowledge about vaccination and diarrhoea, and as many as 3 people have sufficient knowledge about vaccination and diarrhoea.
