Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of using modules in project-based chemistry learning on learning outcomes, learning effectiveness, and student responses to class XI thermochemistry material in semester 1. The study population involved students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Medan in the 2021/2022 academic year. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, with class XI MIPA 4 as the experimental class using project-based modules, and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class with conventional learning. The research instrument is a chemistry learning outcomes test on thermochemistry material with 25 multiple choice questions that have been validated and have high reliability. Data on student learning outcomes were tested using a one-sided t test. The results showed that the use of modules in project-based chemistry learning significantly improved student learning outcomes, showing better learning effectiveness compared to conventional learning. In addition, students' responses to learning with project-based modules on thermochemical materials were also positive. Thus, it is concluded that the project-based module has a positive and significant influence on student learning outcomes in thermochemistry.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Discovery Learning-based E-Learners' Worksheet (E-LKPD) for thermochemistry material as an assessment of students' science skills at the high school level. With the Research and Development (R & D) approach of the 4-D model, the research involves the Defining, Designing, Developing, and Deploying stages, and uses the liveworksheet application. Validation was conducted by four validators, two for material and two for media, with average validity results of 89.5% and 81% respectively, categorized as very valid. The trial was conducted with 34 students, accompanied by a response questionnaire from two teachers and students. Teacher responses reached 94%, indicating a high level of feasibility and practicality. Learners' response reached 94.9%, indicating significant attractiveness. Measurement of students' science skills, through questions in the E-LKPD, showed an average value above the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) (>75). Overall, this Discovery Learning E-LKPD for thermochemistry is considered valid and effective to be used in learning chemistry at the high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out whether the increase in student learning outcomes with the application of cooperative-based e-modules of the NHT type is higher than the learning of NHT chemistry with student reference teaching materials. (2) find out whether there is an effect of the application of e-modules based on cooperative types of chemistry. NHT on student learning outcomes. This research was carried out at the Harapan Baru Private High School Medan in November-December 2021. From the results of the study, the average pretest score for the experimental class was 36 and the control was 28,167. While the posttest average value of the experimental class was 82,667 and the control class was 77.5. The chemical normalized N-Gain value of the experimental class students was higher than the control class, namely 0.7254> 0.685 or based on the N-Gain percentage, which was 72.54% for the experimental class and 68.5% for the control class. The difference from the increase in learning outcomes from the two classes, namely 4.09%, it can be said that the application of the NHT cooperative-based chemistry e-module with student reference learning media on chemistry. In the hypothesis test, namely the t-test of one party (right side) at a significance level of 0.05, it is obtained that t_count > t_table which is 3,004> 2,002 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be said that there is an effect of applying cooperative-based chemistry e-modules on student chemistry learning outcomes in chemistry.

Abstract

Based on the formulation of the problem in this study, how is the teacher's understanding of the experimental method, how is the use of media, how is the classroom atmosphere with the experimental method. This study aims to describe the knowledge of the teacher's understanding of the experimental method, to describe how to use the media, to describe the classroom atmosphere with the experimental method. This research is a library research which is conducted in a descriptive qualitative manner which is to facilitate researchers in collecting descriptive data in the form of written/oral words from the teachers and students who were observed. One of the research literature (library research) retrieval of data or materials needed to complete the study came from the library, including books, dictionaries, journals, documents, magazines and so on. Criteria used to select reading materials that relevance (relevance). . Except for historical research, should avoid the use of reading materials that are already old and more recent selected sources. . Source that has long been possible to load the theories or concepts that are no longer valid, because kebenarnnya theory has more recent research results. The results of the teacher's research have maximally applied the experimental method to the properties of light, thus the teacher has implemented it according to the concept of knowledge about the experimental method. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the experimental method has been maximized so that the teacher can describe the properties of light SD.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is a set of learning activities that emphasize the process of solving problems faced scientifically. The use of video media can help students' learning process and will have a big impact on the learning outcomes of thermochemical material because almost everyone, from children to the elderly, now has a smartphone. In addition to learning videos, powerpoint is one of the learning media that can help students who have learning difficulties. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the thermochemistry learning outcomes taught using PBL-based learning videos were higher than the thermochemistry learning outcomes taught using PBLbased PPT. This study involved the experimental class I and the experimental class II. From the results of the study, the average pre-test for the experimental class I was 41,95 and the experimental class II was 41.44. After being treated with learning in both experimental classes, post-test was then recommended to determine learning outcomes, the post-test average of experimental class I was 83.14 and experimental class II was 78.44. The results showed that the experimental class I which was taught by learning video media and the PBL model was higher than the learning outcomes of the experimental class II which was taught by the powerpoint media and the PBL model. It can be concluded that the use of instructional video media, learning outcomes are higher than the use of powerpoint media.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the results of the analysis of chemistry teaching materials on the reaction rate material used in schools according to the BSNP standard, (2) describe the feasibility (validity) of the integrated problem based learning module teaching materials on the reaction rate material based on the BSNP criteria (3 ) knowing student learning outcomes have increased after being given teaching materials Integrated Problem Based Learning Module on the reaction rate material, (4) knowing students about teaching materials for integrated problem based learning module on reaction rate materials that have been developed. This research uses the method (R&D) with the ADDIE model covering the stages (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). The product developed was validated by 4 expert validators consisting of 2 chemistry lecturers and 2 chemistry teachers. From the results of hypothesis testing carried out produces tcount > ttable, which is 6.567 > 1.0705618. The assessment of the presentation of the level of student interest in the module that has been developed is 88.33 (very high).

Abstract

This research aims to (1) knowing the results of a chemical study on the action based reaction materials used at school by BSNP standards,(2) knowing that the modules on discovery learning on the action-based reaction rate matter are appropriate for media experts and materials experts,(3) knowing the results of student learning after being given the discovery learning module on reaction rate materials. (4) know students' responses to the discovery learning based modules on reaction rate materials. Research results from an average of 81% of those produced from teaching materials analysis have both the strenghts and deformityof content, language worthiness, presentation and feasibility of expertise. Average pretest class experiment in 57,25%. Whereas the average score of 83,5% experimental posttest class. N-gain values a normalized chemical student experiment class based on the percentage of that is 83,82%. Student response or satisfaction percentages of deveoloped modules are acquired on an averaged of 93%, which could be concluded that the developedment of the taught materials the discovery learning based modules on a action-based reaction rare matter is higher than the minimum criteria (KKM) set. T_count more that t_table (8,747 more that 1,685) and H0 is therefore denied and Ha received. Thus it may be concluded that the there is an impact on the development of taught materials the discovery learning based modules on action on reaction materials.
