Abstract

Analysis of Prospective Teachers' Pedagogical Capabilities is a competency that teachers must have, especially in science learning. It is important for prospective elementary school teachers to master it, because elementary school is the beginning of students gaining knowledge and skills of scientific processes which are formed through the practice of science competencies. Having good pedagogical skills will have an impact on learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to determine and describe the pedagogical abilities of PGMI semester 6 students. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research, namely research that aims to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects, for example behavior, perception, motivation to act. This research obtained results carried out by sixth semester students of PGMI. There are 7 criteria assessed based on the microteaching assessment rubric, namely mastering student characteristics with an average of 3.7 in the good category. master learning theory and educational learning principles with an average of 3.6 good. Curriculum development related to the subjects taught is in the poor category with an average of 2.7. implementation of educational learning on average was 3.03. Facilitate the development of students' potential to actualize the various potentials they have in the insufficient category with an average of 3.4 in the sufficient category. communicate effectively, empathetically and politely with students with an average of 3.1 which is in the sufficient category. carrying out the evaluation is in the good category with an average of 3.6. Based on the research results for each pedagogical criterion, it can be seen that the criteria that still need to be improved are the ability to develop curriculum, educational learning activities, communication.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the use of the Make a Match method in science subjects on the material of Blood Circulatory Organs and Their Functions in class V A SD Negeri 15 Sorong City. This paper is a class action research (PTK) with data collection techniques using test methods, field notes, and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques use descriptive statistics by presenting data in the form of tables/graphs, calculating averages, and percentages using Excel. The standard/KKM is 70. The results of this study show that: 1) The average value of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 72. There were 16 students who were complete with a percentage of 67%, while there were 8 students who were not complete with a percentage of 33%. 2) The average student learning outcomes in cycle II was 79. The number of students with complete criteria was 24 people or 100%. This means that the action in cycle II, namely the use of the Make a Match (MaM) method in science subjects on the material of Blood Circulatory Organs and their Functions in class V A, is stated to be able to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education is one way of supporting the quality of human resources through the learning process (Nurinda and Kasman, 2021). In an effort to improve the quality of education, every educational institution must create an effective and efficient learning process (Ardiansyah et al., 2019). Therefore, learning is a learning process that has been designed, systematic, and has a formal nature, and is held by an educational institution (Prawiyogi et al 2020). According to Novantara (2017), effective and efficient learning activities are characterized by achieving previously formulated learning objectives. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research because the data collected comes from the opinions of the target subjects. The technique for collecting data used was an interview with one of the teachers at MI Emyodere, Sorong City, Southwest Papua, to draw conclusions and record data. The aim of this research is of course to investigate the effect of the visualization methods used by teachers in teaching science materials on improving the quality of students' understanding. This research aims to provide deeper insight into effective pursuit strategies in the context of science learning. Population is the overall object of research. The population in this research is teachers at MI Emeyodere, Sorong City, Southwest Papua. The sample is part of the total population. The sample in this study was MI Emeyodere class VI, including 20 students. The curriculum in Indonesia is always developing and from time to time the development of this curriculum is based on the demands of the millennial era. Science learning in question is the way teachers visualize science material. In this case, it is learning where the teacher plays an important role in developing visualizations of science material to improve understanding. students at MI Emeyodere, Sorong City. Science learning not only teaches mastery of facts, concepts and principles about nature but also teaches methods of solving problems, trains critical thinking skills and draws conclusions, trains being objective, working together and respecting other people's opinions. Learning media is a means of the process of conveying learning information from teachers to students. Material or messages can be conveyed through several types of media, one of which is visual media. Visual media is media that is enjoyed by the sense of sight. The use of visual media can facilitate students' understanding. The science learning process for students at MI Emeyodere, Sorong City using visualization of science material can improve students' understanding. because students easily grasp the learning material delivered by the teacher quickly.

Abstract

Abstract

Science learning outside the classroom has become one of the effective methods in increasing students' interest and understanding of scientific concepts. This study aims to explore the implementation of science learning outside the classroom at SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin and its impact on students' interest and understanding. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results of the study indicate that science learning outside the classroom can increase students' interest in science because the learning experience is more interactive and contextual. In addition, students also showed an increase in understanding of science concepts because they were able to relate theories to phenomena directly observed in the surrounding environment. However, this study also identified several challenges in implementing this learning, such as limited facilities and limited time in the curriculum. This study highlights the importance of support from schools and education policies to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of science learning outside the classroom. Thus, experiential learning outside the classroom can be a significant strategy in improving the quality of science education in Indonesia.
