Abstract

Breast milk is the best food for babies, in breast milk there are multiple benefits, namely: nutritional, physiological and psychological benefits for babies. Preparing for breastfeeding earlier is better and ready to breastfeed. It is recommended that breastfeeding be prepared from the antenatal period. Successful breastfeeding is supported by physical, psychological preparation and lactation management. Based on the results of data at BPM Ledi Eliani, Tandun village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency, there were 10 mothers who gave birth at BPM Ledi Eliani for the last 3 months. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of lactation massage. This study uses a pre-experiment method with a research design of one group pre test and post test, using a checklist sheet and a brest pump. The population of this study was all mothers who parted at BPM Ledi Eliani and had difficulty leaving breast milk totaling 10 people The sampling technique in this study uses a non-probability sampling technique, namely using saturated samples, namely all population numbers are used as a sample of 10 people. The results of the study from data analysis were the average volume of breast milk of postpartum mothers before lactation massage was (19.50) while the average volume of breast milk of postpartum mothers after lactation massage was (43.00). Based on the results of the T-Dependent statistical test data, a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, which means that there is an effect of lactation massage on increasing breast milk volume in post-patrum mothers at BPM Ledi Eliani, Tandun Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a source of information and a basis for knowledge that there is a link between the effect of lactation massage on increasing breast milk volume.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterized by increased blood pressure, proteinuria, and edema after 20 weeks of gestation, which can cause morbidity and mortality in both mother and baby. Various risk factors can influence the incidence of preeclampsia, including maternal nutritional status and age. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal nutritional status and age with the incidence of preeclampsia at CEmONC RSUD Waluyo Jati, Probolinggo Regency. This study used a cross-sectional design with secondary data from the medical records of pregnant women at CEmONC RSUD Waluyo Jati. Nutritional status and maternal age were classified into risk groups. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a total of 59 pregnant women as respondents during January–February 2025. The results showed that 20 pregnant women (33.9%) had nutritional risk, 19 pregnant women (32.2%) had age-relaed risk, and 22 respondents (37.3%) experienced preeclampsia. Data analysis using the chi-square test showed a significant relationship with a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.005). This indicated that maternal nutritional status and age had a significant relationship with the incidence of preeclampsia. Therefore, monitoring nutritional status and age before pregnancy is important as an effort to detect and prevent preeclampsia earl.

Abstract

Acceleration of the active phase of the first stage in mothers giving birth accompanied by their husbands Mothers who are accompanied by their husbands generally experience the active phase of the first stage of labor for less than 6 hours, indicating a more optimal acceleration of labor compared to mothers who are not accompanied. The presence of a husband provides emotional and physical support, reduces anxiety, and increases the effectiveness of uterine contractions. This study aims to determine the effect of husband's assistance on the acceleration of the active phase of labor. The analysis shows a significant difference between mothers who are accompanied and not accompanied by their husbands. The type of research used is Quaesi experimental. The number of samples is 20 respondents selected by purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that there is a very significant relationship between husband's assistance and the acceleration of the active phase of labor in mothers giving birth at Aulia Hospital Pekanbaru in 2025. Of the 11 mothers who received husband's assistance, 10 people (90.9%) experienced accelerated labor with a duration of <6 hours, while in the group who did not receive husband's assistance, all respondents (100%) actually experienced a longer labor (>6 hours). The Fisher's Exact Test statistical test provides a statistically significant p value < 0.001, so it can be concluded that husband's support has been proven to have an effect on accelerating the labor process.

Abstract

Background:Menopause is a natural phase in a woman's life which is marked by the permanent cessation of menstruation. This phase is often accompanied by physical and psychological changes that can affect a woman's quality of life, especially if she is not well prepared. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about menopause and the level of readiness for menopause in premenopausal women in Rokan Koto Ruang Village. This study uses a quantitative analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. Method:The number of samples was 40 premenopausal female respondents who were taken using the total sampling technique. The instrument used was a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. Results: the results showed that there was a very significant relationship between the level of knowledge and readiness to face menopause (p-value = 0.000), with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 360,000. This means that respondents with good knowledge have a 360 times greater chance of being ready to face menopause compared to those with less knowledge. Conclusion:This study concludes that good knowledge can increase women's readiness to face the menopause phase. Therefore, increasing education about menopause is very necessary, especially for premenopausal women. Keywords: Knowledge, Menopause, Readiness, Premenopause, Women

Abstract

Globocan data from 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that the number of new breast cancer cases reached 68,858 cases (16.6%) out of a total of 396,914 new cancer cases in Indonesia. One of the appropriate efforts in early detection of breast abnormalities, especially breast cancer, is by performing a breast self-examination. (SADARI). The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of health education on breast self-examination on the knowledge of female adolescents about Breast Self-Examination (SADARI) at SMK Negeri 3 Rambah. The type of research used is experimental research with a pretest-posttest group design approach, which involves conducting a pretest (initial observation), followed by providing counseling to a group, and then conducting a posttest (final observation) using total sampling technique with a sample size of 20 people by administering 20 questions through a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used the Paired Sample T-Test statistical test. The results showed an influence of counseling on the knowledge of adolescent girls (p value = 0.000 <0.05). This study indicates that counseling has an effect on the knowledge of adolescent girls about breast self-examination (SADARI) at SMK Negeri 3 Rambah. Health counseling about SADARI needs to be continued with a larger number of respondents, especially adolescent girls, as an effort to increase their knowledge about SADARI to detect early signs of lumps or abnormalities in the breasts.
