Abstract

The elderly are vulnerable to degenerative diseases, such as hypertension. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and sodium consumption with hypertension elderly status in the in the Lamongan Health Center area. Quantitative design research method with this type of observational analytic research, cross sectional study approach. A sample of 63 respondents. Sampling using accidental sampling technique. Methods of data collection by weighing and measuring body height and interviews using the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) Form. The results showed that most of the elderly with hypertension were aged 60-69 years (74.6%), were female (57.1%), had a family history of hypertension (66.7%), had more nutritional status (49.2%), consumption of more sodium (54%) and hypertension status stage 1 (81.0%). The results of the Spearman correlation test stated that there was a relationship between nutritional status and hypertension status and that there was a relationship between sodium consumption and hypertension status (p=0.001;p=0.034). The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between nutritional status and hypertension status and sodium consumption and hypertension status in the Lamongan Health Center area. It is recommended to conduct nutrition education in the elderly.

Abstract

Constipation (constipation) can occur at any age. One of them is stomach cramps. The purpose of this study was to determine the acceptability and fiber content of the platter cake with the addition of chia seed flour and soybean flour as a snack for constipation. The method of this study was an experiment on 3 formulations of the addition of rice flour, chia seed flour and soybean flour with the formulations KT1 (110:65:25), KT2 (100:75:25), and KT3 (90:80:30). ), using the organoleptic preference test in the form of likes or dislikes for the color, taste, aroma and texture of the Techikade platter cake presented to 25 panelists, the fiber content of the Techikade platter cake used the Gravimetric Method for the best formulation of the organoleptic test results. The results showed that the platter cake with the KT3 formulation was the most preferred with an average score of 3.76 which was included in the like category. The conclusion of the study showed organo-leptic properties, the formulation favored by the panelists was the KT3 formulation with a ratio of rice flour:chia seed flour:soy flour of 90:80:30 having a fiber content of 5.64% in 100g Techikade tray cake.

Abstract

Food is needed by all age groups, including school-age children for the process of growth and development. The results of the 2018 East Java Province Riskesdas showed that the percentage of the age group ≥ 5 years was lacking in vegetable and fruit consumption, namely 93.9%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education through power point media and infographic media about vegetables and fruit for school children at SDN Sidosermo 1 Surabaya. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental with the type of One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data collection is done by questionnaire. The number of research samples was 40 people. Statistical test using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the value of p = 0.00, namely p <a 0.05, which indicates that there is an effect before and after being given education through power point media and infographic media on increasing knowledge, attitudes and actions about vegetables and fruit in class school children 5 at SDN Sidosermo 1 Surabaya.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is the top 3 most common skin diseases. Nutritional intake of carbohydrates with a high glycemic index and saturated fat has a significant effect on the pathogenesis of acne vulgaris. Based on an initial study in January 2021, the results showed that 63.6% of female students were experiencing acne. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between carbohydrate and saturated fat intake with the incidence of acne vulgaris in grade 3 female students at the Department of Nutrition Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya. This research method uses analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The sample consisted of 70 female students who were taken using a simple random sampling system. Data on carbohydrate and saturated fat intake were obtained by filling out the SQ-FFQ form. Data analysis used Spearman's Rank test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between carbohydrate and saturated fat intake and the incidence of acne vulgaris with a p-value of 0.000; 0.000 (p=0.05) and the number of the correlation coefficient is 0.707 respectively; 0.791. It is recommended that the intake of carbohydrates that contain a high glycemic index and saturated fat need to be limited.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic the health and fitness including nutritional status of human resources in hospital should get attention, because workload of them increases. They have to use of PPE for several hours and the risk of disease transmission is also high. Therefore, optimal health conditions are needed to reduce the risk of disease transmission from patients. This study aims to describe variables that can affect the productivity of human resources Dungus Madiun Hospital, including nutritional status, vegetable and fruit consumption, history of disease, physical activity and vaccination history. The type of research is descriptive observation conducted on December, 2020 with data collection techniques filling out kueshioner through Google forms on 144 respondent. There was 18.1% of respondents over nutritional status and 27,1% obesity. 21.5% consumed fruits and 13,8 % consumed vegetables according to recommended amount. The most common types of diseases are hyperchoterol 29.2% and allergies 13.2%. Exercise as rerommended by 32% of respondents.  Vaccinations are good except for HPV vaccine is only 24.8%. To improve nutritional status and cholesterol levels, counseling to dietary improvement and increased awareness to exercise as recommended are a priority of hospital public health extension activities (PKRS).
